Hi everyone My mates got an r32 skyline with rb20det with basics done, exhaust, screamer, fmic, rb25 turbo He blew a heater hose a couple of month ago an got it fixed at a workshop, he's blown another heater hose again, my mate seems to think its the same one he blew before, so iv got a couple of questions: If it is the same hose why has it blown again? (already asked of there's an oil leak near the hose and he said no) How do you remove the intake plenum on rb20det? Cheers

hya mate iv got the same problem in ma 180. found out whats causing it and the motor that switches between vents is nakerd so iv just manually put mine to demist. if you cant find the motor then stick ya hand behind where ya stereo and shit is and there should be a couple of metal rods that go towards the motor (there only thin) and follow them down from and it should lead ya to the motor

hya everyone. ma mate bought a r32 skyline not too long ago and recently its been leaking fuel from the fuel tank end of the car. it only leaks after he fills up a full tank but its not like when you put too much fuel in and it comes out the top. when hes driving his car really stinks of raw fuel and when he comes to a stop it drips out onto the floor. iv heard that there are seals at the top of the fuel tank, could it be buggerd or is there a chance hes got a hole in the fuel tank? cheers

i used to work at alberts car stereo in cannington and they do em there for a pretty reasonable price. i wish i could say id install it for ya but i only worked there for bout 8 month .

done that mate. problems are still there.the problem only tarted when the garage swapped the fuel rail with s15 injectors with another fuel rail with stock injectors so could it be something to do with that? cheers

yeh it was set for the s15 injectors, i have set the safc back to factory because iv got a power fc now but wont be getting it tuned for atleast 2 weeks yeh does backfire between shifts, always done that but also backfires, misfires and hesitates between 2000-3000rpm. its funny you mention voltages coz when its idling like shit the voltage on the apexi turbo timer drops down to around 10 - 11 v cheers

cheers for the replys iv put it back to factory, the only settings that are still the same is car type and sensor type, do i need to change all of them to 0 aswell?

ok kwl. iv done that but now the car idles like crap most of the time and also has a missfire and hesitation between 2000-3000rpm... any ideas? cheers

hya everyone. iv got a safc2 installed in my car and it has been tuned before but since the tune the car has had a engine swap (same engine) due to a bottom end knock, since the engine swap the car has been running like shit, it was running too rich with s15 injectors so we had to put stock injectors back in and it still runs like poo. the safc 2 is still wired to the car and i dont wanna pay for a re tune as iv just recieved my power fc today but cant get it tuned till late next week. i know the simplest and easiest thing to do would be to disconnect it from the ecu but we have done this before and the car wouldnt even drive. so my question is could i just put all the settings on the safc2 back to 0? would that cancel out the safc2? cheers

yeh i wa well mad, but what could i do? i got away with no yellow sticker or any fines... i reckon if i would of argued wi him i wudnt of got off so easily

i reckon alot of police are just throwing there weight around thinking that because they are here to enforce the law they are alowed to make up there own rules, i got pulled over a few weeks ago because the officer thought that i didnt have my P plates up, when i showed him where my P plates was his first sentence after that was... pop your bonnet, he then proceeded to ask me what my exhaust manifold was, and where was my permits for the manifold, catch can and fmic, then i told him i had passed the pits with all these mods (which i did) and he didnt believe me, so he told me to rev my car so i did to about 4000rpm he then told me to get out of my car and he revved it to 6000+rpm, i know this because i set the safc2 to record the highest rpm, he then told me that my bov was illegal and that if he pulled me over again and i still had my bov on i would get my car impounded (thats right IMPOUNDED not yellow stickerd) i know fair enough i run the risk of gettin a yellow but getting my car taken off me? thats bullshit if u ask me. i dont see how police can do this to us, these cars are our pride and joy, some people spend $20,000+ modding there cars to how they want it to be and they are taking that away from us, maybe theyd rather us drive around in shitty old cars spending are money on crack (i know a bit extreme) or binge drinking. the laws are just too strict and how they pick on P platers is the biggest load of bullshit out there

oki il get some pics up. as for the switch there are 3 wires from the back of it, 1 disappears into the dash an 2 disappear int the engine bay

no its not an auto. looks aftermarket. not too sure what it is then lol

yeh i think its got a replacement as i can only see a vacuum line goin from the wastegate to the turbo. also there is a switch in the cabin and when it is pressed it drops revs or puts them higher... depends which way you look at it. what would that be for? cheers
