  1. red my99 wrx. was the quickest thing id ever been in.
  2. id say design is also crucial in terms of what is better...for example, front strut braces that go back towards the firewall instead of just straight from strut top to strut top could be advantageous? or, cusco's triangular rear strut brace? i'd say they'd be much better than aussie made ones simply because they've spent the R&D dollars...
  3. in that situation looks like the compliancer has ripped out the guts of it and probably sold it. has the hid power pack been removed off the bottom of the headlight assembly?
  4. yup, but more importantly to keep your hid kit???
  5. adzmax, take it to dean @ upimports..........i cant imagine it being too hard a task.
  6. heheh ok... here you go, and fwiw, i dont think this thread is useful until we start listing mods and boost. mine are: - 0.8 bar using apexi avcr on stock turbo - trust dd cat back exhaust - hks front and dump pipes - hks front mount type s i/c - apexi powerfc - stock airbox with hiflow panel dyno was at c&v's enclosed dyno in zetland, sydney. not running in shootout mode, and im looking forward to another dyno with my new tune...
  7. merli i still dont believe you, i want you to take a photo of yourself with the dyno sheet on your lap facing the camera and a fruit on top of your head.
  8. lol....good man. is it byo?
  9. my point being if he was going for more power, ie significantly, or even 230rwkw you'd need to look at a twin plate...
  10. if you're lucky and your compliancer hasnt ripped out all of the hid kit out of your headlight assembly, then yes, whack a xenon bulb in and bob's your uncle and fanny's your aunty.
  11. thats early for me, hows about 7:30pm ?
  12. ...to draw pretty curves on dyno sheets perhaps???
  13. 8,000rpm not usable? ... doesnt that depend if they had a 13,000rpm redline or not ??? :) i don't think anyone should be told how and when they should use their own cars...some people just arent comfortable bringing it onto the track, wether it be one with corners or 400m of bitch-umen perhaps they dont want to expose themselves and advertise their cars? perhaps they can't afford to break anything? perhaps they are just shit scared??? whatever the case is - its their perogative.
  14. currently i have a whiteline handling pack + rear diff brace + front camber kit installed on my ER34, running on stock shocks and tanabe variable rate springs and toyo trampios r1r hybrid tyres. i've only ever used whiteline products on my cars (full works pack on my wrx) because jim and the gang are top blokes and i've always got great deals. so i can't comment on them vs aftermarket gear. track performance is fantastic once you've dialed in the right settings. currently im running the recommended castor settings, 1.75deg negative camber in the front, hardest rear bar and close to softest front bar settings. initial turn in is fantastic, nuetral to slight understeer coming out of the corner and predictable througout. body roll is not totally "flat" through the corners but that would mean sacrificing my street ride. can't afford coil overs at the moment, but im not really fussed either, the way its handling now is great. should comment that spirited drives through the national park and such can get very bouncy but im really happy the way my suspension handles it. very compliant. says ALOT for a decent set of variable rate springs.
  15. lots of votes for CRD....where are the comments!!!
  16. if you dun like it, dun use it......... :flower:sorry, i had to do it:flower:
  17. hey! close to home! count me in please =)
  18. why bother? in the long run you might have to pay for the labour twice? if you know you're going to stop your mods at just over 200kw then get yourself a decent single plate. nismo coppermix or an ats carbon, or even try some of these exedy's. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=36696 otherwise, get yourself a decent twin plate.
  19. franks

    Which is better?

neither! stock airbox with hiflow airfilter is the best - quieter, just as much power and not defectable
