  3. i was out and about today .... i saw two evo6's, a silver GSR and a black Tommy Makinen.....i've changed my mind - i'll settle for a 6.5 now...the street "presence" was absolutely amazing....who wants to by my er34????
  4. the r34 cabin was based off the r32 so its definately smaller! yeah, that makes sense that handling has improved due to chassis rigidity of which attributes to added weight... BNR34 has an alumnium bonnet, ER34 does not
  5. i agree! i've never owned a 33 but i've driven a couple... imho - the feeling that its smaller comes from the interior, the feeling its lighter comes from the suspension and handling...

  7. RICE is a FUCT up term that FUCT up people use. i mean someone told me the other day that all yellow cars were RICE. WTF? on this thread, someone mentioned VTEC was RICE?   9. im sorry, but that is utter bullshit....!!! i have powerfc, full exhaust, front mount intercooler, running 1.0bar and i have 199.5rwkw. i think the dyno which you are reading this from is fairly inaccurate or your feeding the chickens mate. and erik, why are you embarressing yourself on this forum??? we've discussed this on ICQ you f00l!!! hahaha...
  10. oh yeah this helps a whole lot! muchly appreciated, will test some of this theory out. as i was saying before my friend has only swaybars, his initial turn to apex is ok, its more from apex to exit which is bothersome.... personally, i'm going to go 1 softer on my front swaybar setting - i have an inkling that after this last adjustment my suspension will be perfect...(for my needs anyways ) .... touch wood.
  11. no, i wasn't implying put an aftermarket pod inside a stock airbox, i am saying, replace the stock air filter element (inside the stock air box) with a high flow one. here are my findings when i replaced my apexi super intake with a stock airbox and hiflow element. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...t=stock+air+box on the notice of defects, you live in brisbane! theres the difference! performance cars in sydney are targetted all the time. i goto RBT's and i've had them ask me to open my bonnet. on the subject of aftermarket exhausts, in sydney, as long as it complies with certain emmission tests and noise levels ie. under 90db they are fine. i believe you can goto an RTA inspection station to have your emmissions and noise checked for free.

  17. also think about the $170.00 defect notice from police if its not properly enclosed. my 2c...not worth it without a proper box and cold air induction. better off staying with the stock box that is a good heatshield and has a CAI and replace the element with a hiflow one..
  18. i had my parker globes replaced by these fully sick, slightly orange tinged ones...they cost me 50c each from Matascan petrol station/mechanics on Parra Rd Croydon. Apparently they're good for a couple of kw's at the wheels! :headspin: i have forsale 1 pure white parker globe, it will suit all skylines, selling for $1.00. its in my glovebox. its an import too, came with the car.

  21. i think its all very speculative, but you have a very valid point. in either case, if they sold at 55k to rival the sti then thats a great benefit for everyone as i still think an enthusiast would pay over and above that for an evo8. are the brembo's on the evo8 4pot? because the bnr34 brembo's are 6 pot remember....?

  24. stock they do 1:09's around wakefield, and that was a journo driving it. with a proper driver they reckon atleast another 2seconds...STOCK.
