  1. id say 2530 aswell but.. 1. how about the 2535 2. is the 2835 a high mount turbo?
  2. this is very impressive considering my slightly modded 34 gtt did a 13.8 @ 99mph with a 2.1s 60ft.
  3. james, the way i see it is this: the only people who are interested in the legality(?) of your modifications are the RTA. When they become "illegal" is when you start filling your car up with cocaine or start installing machine guns as anti-car-jacking mecahnisms. the police are the ones who try and keep the roads safe from unroadworthy vehicles and thus you get defect notices. so if your interested in whats legal, or what should be more appropriately termed "road worthy", you should start at the RTA website. from there you'll find a plethora of pdf files which basically say, any modification to your vehicle should be checked by an RTA authorised workshop who can then give you an engineer's certificate deeming it as "roadworthy" and thus free from defect notices (in theory). in your case, an ecu is indirectly associated with your intake system so i would say it would need to be engineered as it has rather large bearing on your fuel mixtures and hence emissions.
  4. i know there isnt a bolt on HKS GT-RS turbo kit for an RB25 as its a T3 flange instead of a T2 (like the RB26 and SR20), but will an adaptor flange for T2 to T3 conversion do the trick and allow it to bolt onto an RB25? or am i missing something? cheers,
  5. if you get 200kms from either the top half or bottom half of the tank your doing very well. melbourne seems to have better petrol than sydney - i always read skyline melbourn'ites averaging over 400km a tank which is around 12l/100km's, which is doable i guess...im more 12.5-13l/100km. around 400km is my average. i have powerfc, 13psi boost, full exhaust & hiflow cat, front mount, hiflow filter element. the powerfc makes a large difference, before the PFC i was averaging about 350km per tank.
  6. yeah this had to be done to compete with the family sized magna's and liberty's etc....i guess. i have mixed feelings about this car, but god damn it looked sexy IRL.
  7. thats an excellent review. congratulations.
  8. sounds like you're more ready for a trackday than a show and shine mark! *thread hijak alarm* Wakefield Trackday 27th October.
  9. sure have george, i agree, its a top ad!
  10. yup. same with the avcr...
  11. lol...because im a man of the night this is my dyno sheet, i have the same mods as your cousin (i have powerfc) but this is at ~1.0bar boost. also dont know if the gear ratios between the tiptronic and manual versions are the same, so we might not be able to compare dyno charts... you can see a dip at the top of the dyno chart? could've made the curve continue to go up but not alot of time was spent tuning the top end.
  12. now it makes abit more sense that with all those mods your cousin is now making 30.5kw more at the wheels over standard. my point was, an ecu replacement ALONE wouldn't do it. however, running excessive boost *might*. an extra 0.1bar to me was equivalent to around 10kw at the wheels. gotta lurrrrve boost!
  13. 0.8bar is close to stock boost. 30.5kw gain is just not believable from pure tuning. some turbo's wont even give you 30.5kw gain at the wheels. i've ran up to 1.1bar boost with my stock r34 gtt turbo. 0.8bar is definately not the limit, maybe running 0.8bar all day around a circuit will kill it.
  14. 30.5kw gain at the wheels huh? how much more boost is he running?
  15. your cousin's first mistake was the greddy emanage as a software developer, i face a similar situation in that i sometimes won't know how to do something and i often go and research it. it becomes a catch 22, do i not charge the client because of my obvious lack of expertise in this area? or, do i have the right to charge them because no-one else is going to help them and if they require it then it will obviously require someone to do the work? i think the latter stands true. if you want something done, you have to pay for it. its as simple as that. and this brings me back to my original point, if your cousin had of bought a management system from someone who knows them and can install them and can tune them far less pain would've been shed.
  16. dean is that an aftermarket front mount and exhaust?
  17. hrm...okay dave... goodluck finding a *performance* car that has not had its arsed flogged...thats what they were built for mate. if you wanted to buy a car that hasnt had its ass flogged, you should start looking at bmw 318's or magna's or something?!?!? and btw. knowing that this car IS capable of 300kw is bloody great! I know that the engine is running as it should be!
  18. ben, did you have a whiteline front camber kit? if so, how much camber were you running?
  19. of rezz's wife? you sick puppy!
  20. did they have any race queens in stock? can you send me a couple?
  21. wouldn't anyone you're forgetting r33 gtst's can be had for 40k less than this car.
  22. just get rid of the f*&^%# speed humps!
  23. 4G63 engine? go the evo!
  24. whiteline camber kit is now installed on the car. running 1degree 45mins negative camber and thats all she's allowed to go apparently.
