  1. the racelogic system is definately not a cheap system. the traction control + launch control module for cars with abs costs around 700 pounds... my friend bought his racelogic system for ~$1700 from the australian distributor - i think its chiptorque?
  2. guys, the racelogic system is definately not a simple 2 step rev limiter. it is an intelligent system which uses the abs sensors on existing cars to calculate the precise amount of wheel rotation the car needs for an optimal launch. afaik, it does this by cutting spark to the engine which in turn does not effect engine rpm...
  3. YES. it is deemed UNROADWORTHY until you get an engineer's certificate. its quite simple people.
  4. ho ho ho... ATTESSA is great for launches, but after that its just dead weight :shake:
  5. skyline. not really interested in the traction control as i do that with my own foot, but im certainly interested in the LAUNCH CONTROL module... http://www.racelogic.co.uk/traction.htm
  6. has anyone had any experience with launch control systems? something like racelogic perhaps?
  7. i believe anything which effects the emissions of the car is deemed as unroadworthy? where you might also be in trouble is how the i/c kit is installed. if you start drilling big holes into the chassis, you're effecting the structural rigidity of the car which is then deemed unroadworthy.
  8. havent the panthers been near wooden spooners for the past 2 years!??!!? yup, a truly amazing turnaround. hope they win.
  9. nice stereotype duncan plastic fyi. and yes i know you knew that $4.10 isnt too bad. its slightly cheaper than city pub prices.
  10. different ambient temperatures on the dyno? different operator? different dyno settings? just a plethora of reasons why... that and the fact that no two cars of the same model are built identical. your car was probably built on a friday...
  11. $4.10 per glass. crappy VB.
  12. oops. my bad... labour day (which is 1st October) weekend is Monday 6th October. Wakefield Park has an open day on that day....might be packed? Mon 06 Oct, 2003 Open Practice/No Speed Limit Day - Cars & Bikes - Bikes to pre Book, Promoter: Wakefield Park
  13. hrm i'm going for anyone but the chooks i hope panthers win. some images by www.markpakula.com from the dogs/roosters game ... this is me and my bro
  14. im only assuming here dude. they could be as little as 10,000kms! what falkens did you have?
  15. oooh ooh..... Wed 01 Oct, 2003 Open Practice/No Speed Limit Day - Cars Only, labour day...im very keen. i will have new tyres. i might be able to squeeze in camber kit. if i do, im DEFINATELY in. should move this to EVENTS and also get some interest with the other skyline dudes...
  16. FOOOOOOOKEEEN CHOOOOKS!!!! congrats, congrats...did anyone see me under the scoreboard? geez alcohol does bad things. i think there were about 3 punchups whilst i was there. pathetic.
  17. quite a valid question here. id like to know myself! Toyo have a genuine RSpec tyre called the R881, the R1R is a hyrbid RSpec and Road tyre so i only assume from the product line that the R1R will last longer than an average RSpec tyre. Probably equivalent, if not better, than the Falken Azenis RS. so, i wouldnt be surprised if it lasted for 13-18,000 km's with a few trackday's thrown in. heres the R881
  18. yup. they certainly are...the first one was a geoff risbey car. went fairly quickly afaik....i wonder why! and it wasnt all show either... the rear of a bnr32 reminds me of the BMW E30 M3 EVOIII..fat & square. love it....
  19. rang tempe tyres today. the person i spoke to seemed extremely lost in the head. at the end of it, he basically said "oh...we dont stock toyo tyres". wasnt helpful at all. ozzytyres were abit better. they seemed to be alot more switched on than tempetyres. he didnt stock toyo's but could "get them in". but couldn't give me a quote. australia's best are very cluey, could give me a quote on the spot for toyo's, only problem is they didnt have the tyre i wanted i've found my tyre + wheel specialist now. and he has basically everything, if not can get them, and they are at unbeatable prices. im getting a set of Toyo Trampio's R1-R rspec tyres. $1350 for 235/40/17 (front) and 255/40/17 (rears) and this price includes fitting, wheel balance and alignment + its going on fleet...so its not a cash deal.
  20. BNR32 with BNR34 wheels - needs the side skirts though imho (i believe they are trust) BNR32 with TE37's. white and bronze IS nice. but the rear bar MAKES this car. Bling Bling? DoLuck....just super. look at the rear. fantastic. R32 GTSt with BNR32 front bar and 18" (?) Drift R wheels
  21. yup. 400kw on any street car is "excessive" imho. 250 is my target...
  22. damn! that is new! i've never seen that car there before! heres some pics... http://www.skylinesnsw.com/community/showt...=&threadid=3590
  23. when you first start the car, the TCS light should be OFF ie. TCS is "active". whilst the car is still running, if you press the TCS switch, the TCS light in your instrument cluster should then turn ON - indicating that TCS is "inactive" this is also termed "playtime"
  24. heres the link if you're interested...
  25. how are the prices over at poweplay! pretty pricey imho! its wonder that yellow GTT hasnt moved off the lot for this long... i personally haven't seen any bnr34's along parrammatta rd - between the city and strathfield. i know there are a few more car yards down towards homebush-auburn area so you might try your luck there...
