  8. becoz yours is yellow!
  9. there are a few threads on intercooler piping, heres one. http://forums.skylinesaustralia.com/showth...=&threadid=7065 ideally, the best piping is the shortest piping with the least amount of bends. its also the most costly. achievable only through creating a hole in the engine bay and getting a different inlet plenum. like this: if you look at my HKS kit (in the above url link), the return pipe goes under the core and back through the oem pipes. i originally thought this was a bad idea because of the length of piping, however, if you were to compare pipe lengths with a kit that brought the return pipe through the engine bay I dont think there'd be that much difference... thinking about it further, the return pipe is exposed to under bonnet temperatures and runs over the engine bay heating up the pipe - which sort of defeats the purpose? the other pitfall i can see is that you have to create a hole in your engine bay like this: those are the conventional piping routes i know of....
  10. i've heard anything from 1k to 2.2k. you should be able to get a new jap kit for around 2k installed.
  11. my HKS fmic setup. uses the oem pipes from the engine bay up. pipe from turbo is the shorter pipe. another interesting way, similar to yours is the kit from DNA.
  12. im sure a place like jetspeed or carmate would have mesh. though carmate's isnt the best. its like chicken wire...i removed all of my mesh from carmate - i'll be visiting jetspeed soon i think...

  15. that was great guys - good to meet some of you! one gripe, at homebush what was the go with turning the bus stop into a 1/4 mile track? they'll never let us do that again given the 'tools' we attract.... anyways, some pics. the cruise back to harry's was cool...
  16. sweet pics dude! should've taken a long exposure pic and revved it a lil!!!
  17. work gave me a portable bbq set today for a christmas present. its absolutely brilliant. anyways, i shall leave this in the boot of the 'line, because if were out in some remote location, where there happened to be long straight roads, we can find some twigs, some charcoal and light the bbq up and catch a wombat or something to put onto it.
  18. the boost gauge also has a a ground wire. any suggestions where to wire this up to?
  19. ha haaaa.. my nephew is alot cuter...

  21. gday, thanks for the help in organising this... id pay up to and around low 100's.
  22. lets organise!!!
  23. why do you need 4 doors? family man? if your not a family man, and your looking at car's of this calibre, what are you waiting for....r32 gtr, 400hp, street built, circuit ready. can pick up a nice one under 30k, 10-20k worth of mods and you'll be a *shitload* in front of any other car on that list. if you want a 4 door, you seemed pretty cashed up, and you're not a family man and can compromise a little bit of practicality, then there is no question - EVO 5 or above. 5's you cant compliance, 6's you'll have to budget ~50k, 6.5 's budget up to ~55k to get onroad... if you're family man, after practicality and still want 4 doors and performance then get the WRX (but which model? GC8? getting pretty old now), personally the version 6 STi (for about 40k these days) is a better bang for buck than an version 8 STi at 60k IMHO. 10k of mods on a version 6 and you'll be way infront of the version 8. everything else IMO is boring as batshit...
  24. lovely pics air, nice car too! wheres your skyline!? im not using film either, im using digital...
