  1. well as far as i know, on paper the only difference is a revised exhaust system, larger intercooler, more efficient plumbing and different turbo.... the NEO engine does something with cam changing i believe? ie. like honda's VTEC and it probably assists in abit more power too... my R34 isnt here YET. Its currently at the compliancers getting the necessary work done to it, and then the compliance plates ordered and then registered. approx. 13 days!!! i'll let you know when i get it!
  2. dunno wot i was thinking, sorry imagine a NEO in a R33?
  3. 400HP i dont think there is such an animal Prank, if your BOV is still fluttering wouldnt it mean you need to loosen the BOV?
  4. are you sure about that? the spring regulates the activation pressure to cater for a wider range of pressures offered by turbo's and supercharges... wether it effects the sound could be a spin off of that...
  5. better late than never the R34 intercooler is 36mm wider and 20mm thicker and has more "effective ducting".
  6. The R34 GTT is some 70kg lighter and has 48Nm more torque at 1200rpm less...it should pull away quite easily over a stock R33. Gear ratios i'd say are the same? The power comes on earlier from the different turbo, NEO engine, more efficient intercooler & better exhaust flow ...technological advancement i guess
  7. at the end of the day if your up to save a buck then your probably better off finding a reliable importer. of course the risks involved with this option include: a) does the importer carry warranty? in most cases no. B) can you trust the importer with their auction reports and car details? if you've seen a jap auction report before they are quite detailed and the auction houses carry heavy fines if misleading information is given by the seller. c) can you wait for your ship to come in, customs to clear and compliancing work to be done? about 10 weeks from date of purchase. d) depending on importer (as some may do this all for you) can you be bothered with dealing with customs, compliance and registration? when buying from a dealer its obvious there is a buck to be made - but hey, everyones gotta make a living and your usually paying for convenience anyways! you'll find different import yards have different profit margins and quality of cars may vary aswell. the best thing about car yards are you can touch, feel, smell and drive the car your going to buy. so i guess it comes down with what you feel most comfortable with? but i reckon you look at both options and your decision should be based on the car that comes up on offer rather than the source it comes from. my R34 GTT is coming very shortly....Richard @ Edge Imports organised everything, i just have to drive it home....currently it's at the compliance stage and everything seems to be running like clockwork. Edge is also importing a friend of mine's R33 GTSt shortly after....
  8. i believe bonnet pins are not road legal. they look extremely ricey too if your only doing once a month private trackdays, there isn't much point for an extinguisher or a CAMS license. bare street trim with perhaps an oil cooler, oil sump baffle, surge tank and maybe a bigger front mount will be fine imho. (this is of course on a stock GTR) what i also suggest is a dedicated set of brake pads and track wheels and tyres. r specs would be nice, perhaps a set of Falken Azenis (cheaper) or Dunlop DJ01's? most importantly, don't over do it. keep it simple, 1 warm up lap, 3 or 4 hot laps depending on your pads, tyres and other equipment and then 1 or 2 warm down laps for each session. ps. dont pull your handbrake up in the garage area after a session
  9. or like mainan r33???
  10. Andrew, im full indonesian. You're lost. Slow is "pelan pelan" you amatuer
  11. the AVCR also has a cool "scramble mode" feature.... If you connect the additional scramble wire to a button, when activated, allows you to overboost for a specified period of time at a set overboost pressure almost like a NOS button!!!
  12. was the 197kw run done on the: same boost? same dyno? same day? same operator?
  13. hahaha...i know of 3 R34 GTT's in Sydney.... a yellow one - JOE 32R a white one - GTT something something something a grey one - MAINAN (which is indonesian for "toy") mine'll be on the streets soon enough

  19. lixid, how do u expect to tune your powerfc and car effectively if you dont have a dyno? i mean there is always a road tune, but you just have sooo many different variables to look out for - how can you effectively tune a car whilst watching what the taxi in front of you is doing? I think, spend the money on a decent workshop (i know this is hard to find) and be done with it. Your better off getting it done properly first time and not have to worry about it ever again. My new ride comes within 8 weeks or so. I can't wait. PowerFC and front mount to go in, 40 and 60kw atw is a fantastic result guys! who did your tuning???
  20. id like to know some of your results too, pls keep us posted.... who are you going to get to tune it?
  21. i'll have to agree with ice180 and ex-static, thanks guys Tommy K kit looks FARKEN UGLY AS SIN!!! 6-8weeks to go.....
