  2. yeah sign me up too hopefully, got some family stuff to do prior but pending on what time I can get away would be keen to meet some of you.
  3. acutally they could book you for failure to display your Provisional plates as it is a requirement by law in QLD now to display your L and Green n Red P's.
  4. Saw Devilish 33 GTS-T at the Myer Centre tonight, parked on P1.
  5. That actually worked for my wife, she was coming back from work in the 33 and got pulled over. Knowing that since she was driving a "pick me" car much like the harassment we got when whenever we drove the Torana around. But this time since she'd never popped the hood, she didn't actually know where the release leaver was. (albeit she didn't open her eyes to look for it). The nice Mr Plod, got annoyed with her and just let her go with a few words of advice about modifications.
  6. Best advice is to call Jim and talk with him. Great guy to talk to certainly knows his stuff.. Had some first hand experience with him a couple of days ago, while sorting out what to do for a clutch for myself.
  7. My wife (well ex-wife now) drove my LH Torana around and also drives the line around. I've got no issues throwing her the keys to either car whenever she wants to go for a spin. Since driving these cars she has taken some defensive driving courses and skidpan days. Shes not afraid to drive the car(s) to its limits in the right envirionments. I remember all the fun she used to have back in the day of the midnight runs in the torana blowing away people on the street for them to find it was a chick driver.. its amazing peoples attitudes when a chick is driving a tough car. so all in all don't under-estimate your chicks, let them have a drive.
  8. Well she drives it more than me... put it that way lol. Its very hard to pry the keys out of her hands when I want to go and have some fun. Though letting her use it as a daily atleast its getting driven and not just sitting around. She prefers to drive the line than the SLR5000. Something about being more modern comfort with "go" She's a revhead from way back and not afraid to use the loud pedal.
  9. I'll let the "wife" know to keep a look out
  10. That would be my line you see. Just dont look at the front bar been to lazy to fix it up.
  11. I saw the same one when I was on my way down Middle Rd... had many a glance to see if I was mistaken cause I didnt think there were any R35's in this neck of the woods yet.
  12. Just to jump off topic quickly, what times were you running Mort? Messy was trying to get me out in my line but I had other plans. And poor Messy, snapping his rockers... ouchie lol. atleast this is an excuse for him to start the headwork on the GTiR.
  13. Cheers, will be interesting to see what it does pull. Next mods on the table are a full forged rebuild with better snail.
  14. I have no idea what the specs are, yet to pull it off and check any #'s Can only go by what the previous owner has told me. I know it holds 18 PSI quite nicely though. Guess I'll just have to wait till its had a dyno run and a decent tune, the old tuner for it put it on a really safe map and its rich as all buggery. Not to keen on playing with the Haltech myself just yet though they are quite easy to use.
  15. Howdy Do, Been looking over the RB25DET dyno charts that have been posted by others and havn't quite seen one with this setup so thought I'd post here to see what kind of power output people would estimate it to have. Car is going in for a tune and power run to give me a baseline for more mods shortly. Current mods as follows; R33 GTS-T ARE FMIC 740cc Nismo Injectors High Flowed By GCG Turbos to handled 25psi Custom Dump Pipe to Apexi N1 3.75" Exhaust - CAT has been abused.. Stock Internals, Steel Head Gasket Port and Polish of the Head Heavy Duty Clutch and Short Shift Haltech E6X Haltech Ignition Coils and Module Haltech 3 Bar Map Sensor Upgraded 600hp In Tank Fuel Pump Sard Fuel Reg
  16. Also have Redcliffe Dyno who do tuning with Haltechs. Steve looked after my old Torana very well, so the `line with my E6X is going up to him for a retune.
  17. Funny you should mention this, I had the exact same thing happen with my 33 yesterday. Had been driving all weekend, wife took it to the shops came back 30 mins later and it would attempt to turn over but couldn't fully crank. Checked the voltage and the battery had drained itself. (nothing was left on in the car). Pulled the battery put it on charge for a few hours, put it back in, started no problems at all. Checked for voltage drain and there is none.. just bizarre..
