  1. Oh thanks that clear lots up for me. So either way I need to get oil there.
  2. So if you are not running VCT you do not need to supply oil to the VCT? and if you are using a stand alone tuning software would your VCT still work the same as long as you have the vct loom hooked up I know what you mean I am trying my best to research this stuff on my own but it would help if there were more info on this stuff so I could understand it more
  3. so once you welded up the oil feed for the vct do you still need to supply oil to it? and if you are using stand alone tuning software does the vct still work?
  4. Okay well here is my question. If I am building a RB25 head with 270 cams and valve springs and retainers with adjustable cam gears. If I plan on not using the vct do I still need to feed the VCT with oil? In all the threads I have read they show ways to get oil to the VCT but no one talked about if you are not using the VCT does it still need oil run to it or not? Sorry I am having troubles understanding the VCT. If the answer is yes there is lots of info on how to get oil to it. And also if you are using agressive cams and upgraded everything else is there any benefit to running vct? or is it useless?
  5. Hey I had an RB20det skyline with 250whp in all just minor bolt ons. after about 3.5 years I finally sold it and started my RB30det S14 project. I have spool rods Tomei procams 262 and 270 cams custom JE pistons custom crank collar N1 water and oil pump ATI harmonic dampener upgraded springs and retainers jun cam gears ARP studs on everything ACL bearings on everything and will be tuning with Haltech E8 I am really trying to understand the VVt. If I have changed the cams and everything else should I be running the VVT? is it needed to make the car run? and also if you are not using the VVT do you need to still be runnning oil to the vvt? People also say we should be putting an oil return line does anyone have pics of what they have done? thanks hopefully you guys can help me understand a little more about this process i feel like such an idiot but need a hand learning this or my engine will never be finished.
  6. Hey i was wondering if you still need an upgraded oil restrictor after this mod?
  7. Hey I want to run an ATI damper on my RB25/30det hybrid and was wondering if any of you guys have put one on your cars? and if so do you have the part number? or is the RB26 damper a straight bolt on?
  8. Night and Day
  9. HAHAHA the tail lights are pimped!!!! I got some but never painted mine
  10. Wow alot of work trying to make that 4wd work......but it all looks top notch!!!! one of the only skylines i have liked stock bodied HOT HOT
  11. thanks alot for the help!!! appreciate it! but yeah I am in canada so taking weather into things i think i will be fine using electric fans
  12. what kind of oil pump upgrades did you do if you don't mind me asking?
  13. Quick question has anyone used an ATI damper on a RB30 with a 25 head? heard that they won't bolt up on a 25 but not sure hot they fit on the 30?
  14. hey who did you get this stuff off if you don't mind me asking?? I live in Canada and getting my hands on these kind of parts is a little harder.....thanks in advance and sorry if this is a little off topic but i have the spool rods need to find the pistons with 9:1 compression
  15. NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! if you wana take for ever.... you can use a dremel drill with the right cutting disc works fine..... just make sure to take little bits at a time and keep trying it back on to make sure you don't take way to much off
  16. work vskf's he's a fellow canadian won't share sizes though
  17. sorry i couldn't answer your questions sooner guys i am working outa town with no computer acess final konnexion is quite a bit different and BN sports is alot more big and open... BN sports is alot more similar to the Uras kit. i love the final konnexion kit but live in Canada so it would be far too expensive to get. Oh and i don't have any power yet i actually get my RB30 block at the end of this month so i will be one of the only guys in canada rocking it. I will keep you guys updated oon some of the stuff i am doing i am putting a crazy roll cage in which you guys will die for. And also australlia does need better wheel fitment which is why i don't mind sharing wheel specs
  18. what wheels are these? i love the concave on them... would look hot in white haha heres my car before and after theres how i bought her... looks pretty hot just bought coilovers and painted brake callipers with ame tracer wheels origin kit and bronze xd9's tesfit now with drift wing powder coated wheels white with green paint will get better pics when i have some nice weather.... and some nice action shots as well
  19. there is too much crying go on on this site.... if you want a drop vent hoood get one.... its not going to ruin your engine.... i have one its fine and it actually has overlay fins which prevent a half inch of water from coming in..... of course if you are leaving your car out in some sort of flooding rain storm then you had better not get one haha sorry this is the best pic i have of my vent. Hard to see but there are little fins that stop it from draining straight into your engine bay.... believe me they hold alot of water the hardest part is trying to get it all out after you wash it haha
  20. hahaa and you are the one who makes fun of big spoilers??? that looks way to ricey to put on a skyline.... not to mention it looks cheap
  21. this is the most bad ass conversion imo...... 180sx front on an s15 such a smooth transition in body lines.... unlike the s15 front on a skyline which is a pointy front end to a beefy rear which make it look hurtinnnnnnn it doesn't flow what soever
  22. well prepping a car is really easy to do but takes lots of work... pretty much all you do is get lots of sandpaper and sand your car until the clear coat is dull... bondo all the dents and dings sand smooth and then primer and sand that i don't wanna go through the whole process but 400 grit sandpaper is used for the sanding and make sure to go with the car and no they are work xd9 wheels and also i did not do the door jams or trunk or anything as i am putting in a new engine and rolll cage so i will get that all later... seriously unless its a show car who gives a crap as long as it looks pretty from the outside.. and also i fixed all the window mouldings before paint by simply using a black cocking to fill cracks and then black paint to spruce it all up again
  23. Have you ever seen the S15 with the 180 front it is the most bad ass combo ever.... S15 conversions are lamo... and why are you cheesing something so nice up
  24. just get some real rims.... unless you want 16x8's and my buddy has some on his 4 door they fit just don't get lamo offsets
  25. yeah we aren't allowed 33's in canada yet so i can't tell you what to do on a 33..... i am not a huge fan of GTR spoilers i think they look outdated and suit the car at the time it was made..... it also depends on how extreme of a look you are going for? i don't understand why you don't post a pic of your car first and then we can see what we are working with like i said if you have stock everything a massive spoiler will look rediculously out of place mostly i see these kind of spoilers on the 33
