  1. yea i was reling on it so i could drive my car home tomorrow, so i flew in today now i gotta pay for a flight home awesome yay
  2. ahh dam dont tell me that..... i got it made to suit the car just got it back it was sent fully bubble wrapped and returned the same. So its not reading the eprom? it was done by remap.co.nz supposed to be pretty good but he wont pick up his effin phone
  3. ok been playin with the aac valve and the fine tuning thing in the ecu but that doesnt seem to be doin much anyway the damn exhaust\gas light keeps flashingwhat the hell? i never seen it flash before i tried reseting the ecu but doesnt do squat and the search function on this site is crap so does someone have any idea?

Hey there i just got my standard ecu chipped (R32 gtst rb20det) it was a standard auto computer and seemed to go sweet in my manual except for detonation at 10psi when boosting, anyway i plugged the ecu in and at first was pretty hard to start but started and the exhaust temp light was flashing and so was the red light in the ecu, and if you slowly put your foot on the accl it revs up but if you put your foot down it almost stalls and runs like a bag of puss, any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
  5. Ah k so everything is all good, i heard if you put a rb20det actuator on it should run ten pound, i have s spare one lyin round might give it a go... (ahem famous last words)

I just put a series 2 25det into a r33 gts25t '96, and seems to go mint as but i took the boost solenoid out and ran the wastegate hose to the nipple on side of the intercooler, so this should maje it run 7-8psi right? also its gotta filter and split dumpy goin into full 3inch exhuast so i thought it should be runnin more like 10psi? why is it onl running 5 pound boost?
  7. yea appreciate your input! i have had heaps of mixed reviews with this turbo and my setup, so ill put it on get it tuned and see wat it does then ill keep yous updated, if it does turn into a undriveable lump of metal then ill try different turbo setups, but remember one persons idea of lag can be anothers lag heaven or watever

Hey again just a small update, i got some greddy adjustable cam gears and a map sensor for the emanage, does anyone know wat those map sensors are good for? ie 2.5 bar?, also lookin at a N1 oil pump wat you guys reckon of the standard rb20s one?? dam this modifying is becoming like a snowball if i have this then i might aswell put that on, then that too and THAT looks shiiiiiiny! haha im sure alot of you can relate!

  11. closer to 5000? the engine should rev to 8000 right? i could live with that current turbo comes on about 4300... hey your the emanage guru right? i have a emanage ultimate but my boss whos the tuner hates them but i dont understand everywhere i read says they are the shit! i read your thread very informative bytheway. He tunes pfc's and links and microtechs mainly, i actually had a link on order then saw this hope i made the right decision, i think he just too stubborn to try new things and now wont admit that they are far superior to stinks ahem i mean links they say they are easy to tune for an experienced tuner i think he needs to wake up, very frustrating

Yea i brought the block and head already done so just gonna chuck it in see wat happens! hey so this legend guy has already put a .82 gt3040r on a rb21?? i should def get hold of him, so any ideas wat i should be able to get outta this engine with some sorta decent reliabilty? i know im asking how long a piece of string is but my engine fully forged so im guessin 350 to 400 rwhp should be good although i have never really heard of many of them get much higher so it must be pretty highly strung by then?

  15. sneak some compression? its gotta 1.5mm trust metal headgasket but the pistons are domed, would be interesting to see wat the comp ratio would be? hey have you got that grey r32 with black front kit on youtube tdo6? f**kin loooooooove that car spesh the video where it takes off and you almost dont make the corner and do the styley 3rd gear escape was sick!!! (hope it was you im talking bout haha) o and wat you think of the .82 exhaust housing far to big?

Yea already have all parts just waitin for rotating assembly to be balanced, yea i thought it was a .63 but looked inside it says 0.82in inside the exhaust housing, so far too big you reckon? what sorta revs would full boost be comin on at? ill prob look at something smaller although i dont mind a bit of lag like full boost 4500rpm max haha...
  18. yea i have thought of that but i like the 21's and already have all the stuff love the sound of the 20 and figured the 21 would sound the closest haha

Hey guys im building an rb21det for my r32 gtst im over the ditch in NZ and havent heard much or cant find much info on these engines... anyway ill rattle off da specs rb20det block bored to 2.1 litres port polished head standard cams reground to 264degree specs custom wiseco forged pistons forged h beam rods trust metal 1.5mm headgasket SSi stainless steel manifold Garrett GT3040R turbo .82 exhaust housing 44mm Tial wastegate blitz dual sbc trust airnx filter 550cc injectors Greddy emanage ultimate full 3inch exhaust DSR front mount sard fpr external coils and leads walbro 255 internal fuel pump ACL race bearings prob something else engine wise but bet i left it out haha... anyway now for the questions, im aiming for 300 to 350 rwhp id think i should be able to achieve this with current mods, im a apprentice mechanic at a performance garage so i have a fair idea about stuff... also has anyone had experience with the emanage ultimate? you reckon it'll be fine for my application? i like the fact that its a piggy back but have heard mixed reviews for it... also does anyone have experience with the GT3040R? do you have any idea when boost will come on? i know she'll be laggy but i like that but should be a lil better than a rb20 because of 2.1 litres and headwork right? anyway ill post pics of the build and keep you updated with wat it does on the dyno just waitin for rotating assembly to be balanced, well cheers for your time any comments and advice would be appreciated!
  20. hey all, i gotta a question.... i took off my factory rb20det blowoff valve and blocked off the hole in it so it wouldnt leak over 10 pound, but now it sounds like its just compressor surging and i dunno if i like the sound over the factory one.... ANYway i have got a standard gtr blowoff valve would there be any benefits to running this?
