There is a guy from Mandurah in my club.. or thinks hes in my club rather.. who has turbo'd his lancer gli.. he has an A-pillar gauge with TWO boost gauges.. I asked him 'why 2 boost gauges?'.. and his reply was '.. coz it makes it look like it's twin turbo!'. I looked at him and walked off.. To cut a long story short imo, if you mod a lancer you run the risk of falling into the same category. But each to their own. I'm just saying it's not something I'd do.

Tech9 Tyres is next that comes to mind in O'Conner, havn't used them but my bro has on his S15.

It's at 74Y atm as opposed to 64Y since last week and monday, and I think the low 80s is what it will reach at best in the coming weeks, which is reasonable. Just keep in mind im not a consultant or anything but. I'll be happy if it stays as it is for the next week and a bit!

If you're modding it to suit YOUR likings, then do it. If you're modding to show off/eye candy for others, probably not so much. (If that makes sense)

Common problem with 33's and 34's mate. I have checked this with Fabian from X-Speed/Autobahn Mandurah. I first noticed it after my 100,000km service from Autobahn driving home at like you said, around 100km/hr-ish really intense heat comin onto my feet. I pulled over straight away thinkin they farked somethin up in my service and called them back up. If it gets too hot for you, while the aircon/fan is OFF, turn the knob all the way to the left and you will get cool air coming out, even though the fan/air con etc is OFF, it still effects the temperature coming out by your feet. So Hope that helped.

Oh ok. thanks for the info guys. hehe yeah Karl, I just spent over $3,000 on the WedsSport wheels and new rubbers that are being shipped atm, although it's only going to be on it with me for about 5 months-ish.. well that's the plan. Then I might buy another set with bigger offset for the new beast. So yeh looks like 2nd hand stock turb is the go.. next question... how will I know if I'm being sold an r33 rb25 or r34 rb25 turbo? is the size any different/markings etc? Obviously I don't want to downgrade..

cool, advice noted. I run stock boost fyi. so thats one vote for 2nd hand stock turb. anyone think its better to rebuild? Again, not really looking for power gains.

After having some oil sitting from the lower cooler piping, and having cleaned that up, it starts coming from the top return piping, I'm pretty sure my stock turbo is on it's way out. Just wondering where, and roughlyyy how much rebuilding the stock turbo will cost. And how long does it take someone to do it, just so I have an idea to workout transport etc. I'm not after an aftermarket turbo or more power, since I'm saving for my new toy and this car is most likely being sold to my friends mum next year (seriously), I just want to know what's the better way to go about it stock turbo-wise. Upon saying that, I MAY look into the aftermarket turbo scenario if the rebuilding is going to cost over $1,000. I'll probably only get it done mid-november when I'm back but I want to get the budget sorted. Any help? Cheers.

loved the launch on that run. What RPM did you end up launching at on that one? Oh yeh and my 60' was 2.173 seconds on the 14.33sec run @ 97.19mph. Very happy with the 60'.
