THanks for the replies guys. No need for oil Tom, apexi pods are dry type. I took it out for a drive after I used high pressure and cleaned it out. Found it to be back to normal which is good, mind you it was night and cooler when I drove it after so yehh..

yeah dad just told me that. eheh. That rules out that theory. Just feel like its starts suckin around 600rpm less than usual lately. cleaned it with high pressure i'll see how it goes when I take her out next.

Hey guys, Alrite firstly anyone that's driven next to my car knows that it loves it's induction hissing noise. I was driving just then and turned the music down, thought to myself, hmm it's not really sucking the air in as much as it used to.. So when I got home I thought I'd clean it out since it's been on for 9 months without having a good clean and vacuum. So I pulled it off and gave it a good clean. I then noticed *see attached* one of the parts on it was just metal without the red and mesh over it, which was facing not in view in the engine bay so I couldnt notice it before. Like I said it's been 9 months since I put it on and I did it in a few minutes seconds without examing the pod and I can't remember if it was like that originally. Now my question, IF it shouldn't be just bare metal, would this be causing the lack of intake? Or was it always like that and is my pod just in need of replacing due to age. Or thirdly, am I just gettin picky. And if it's always meant to be like that does anyone know the reason behind it, just out of curiosity? Driving-wise I can't see a major difference in performance, sound-wise it feels like it's boosting less because I'm used to that really strong induction noise, now I can just hear the turbo screaming with a tiny bit of induction noise. But it's drag season now and I want to get into the 13s next time I go, and every little thing counts right.

Nar EV1 SHOULD be fine. I've walked in and asked for KV2 (silver) before and they found it straight away. Well tbh the dedicated paint shop couldn't find it in their systems and gave me the 'because it's an import' excuse. So I got my local smash repair to make it up for me because he had the color code in their computer systems.

I bet it's more because plates like those can be sold for a lot of $$$ and the government doesnt get any cut from it. lol.

I'm a P-Plater and I'm for the new law to be honest. *dont hurt me.* I'll probably be off it by the time the new law is implemented but yeh I think it needs to be done. Maybe not two years but, red plate phase I think is enough. Living in Rockingham and driving a 34, every P-Plater in a tryhard s13 or v8 commo or xr6 turbo tries to race me. My car is much quicker than theirs even on stock boost and sometimes i really wish some lose control in the wet and hit a pole just so they learn the hard way. If the new law prevents one d!ckhead from killing himself on crash impact because the car he was driving that he crashed didnt get to the higher speed that it would have been if he were in a v8, which would have lead to death, for example, the new law has done it's job imo. I admit I speed and tbh I know I wouldn't speed as much if I drove a 'generic' car like a excel. It just brings even more unwanted attention that I wouldn't want lol. Early red platers just need to develop the driving experience and judgement before they get big heads (generally) and focus on giving some bov action to the 17yo girls waiting at the bus stop after school. (dont act like you've never done it.)

For the last 2 weeks or so I keep getting board offline messages, or the page won't even load and just times out. Both errors happen on my work comp and home laptop. Then when it finally works, I look at the times ppl have made posts and they were during the times I was having trouble so it's affecting individuals not the entire forum. Anyone else having this problem? It's realy frustrating.
