"The West Australian changes mean learner drivers must also wait six months before they can move onto the first stage of their provisional licence." They had that rule no later than 2005 when I was on L's. It'd be interesting to know what they base these statistics on though. The amount of crashes caused by drivers who are less than 6 months into there Provisional period? If it is, I highly doubt the percentage would be that great. All it means is people are going to get more trashed, stay at someones house and attempt sleeping on the floor for 3 hours, and drive home fatigued and hungover after 5am. I've talked to a lot of new P Platers friends and they all said they'd still drive during those hours anyway. Meh, I'm well over 6 months so doesn't apply for me, just m2c. Just means when they see my P plates it's going to increase the likeliness of me being pulled over between 12am and 5am.

Hmm, I think I checked there but it was too crammed too. I'll double check there again tomorrow. Cheers.

I've tried searching, few similar topics but not what I'm after. The problems: I can't seem to find a good place to mount the can. For now I've modified the bracket up and put it here: However it gives off too much heat by the pod, and a CAI is the next job, but where I've got the can, it won't make that possible. (Not enough gap in between.) I really wanted to put it by the driver side wheel arch and just buy longer hoses. but there's too many filters etc in the way that wouldn't do either. Pic below is where I would like it. Any recommendations or advice? edit: Only other idea I can think of is extend the pod piping and move it down lower? Thanks.

Car might be off the roads for a bit when I get back from Japan with new goodies. But if not, I'll try and be there.

^^ agreed. Even for fibreglassed kits your looking in the $2,000+ plus range (kitted & fitted) all up easily. If they charged any cheaper I'd think twice about their workmanship. m2c.

Don't think it'd make a difference. I've got Dunlop Le Mans tyres that were from stock S15 wheels on the stock gtt ones..

Replacing R34 Sedan Taillights With Coupe Model.
Magic replied to Magic's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Correct that would be the way to do it but a whole lot of modifying to fit and re-wiring, as the 2 door rear kit goes more around the sides then the sedan, and it's not a striaght swap. And of course the $$. So I'm bailing on the idea. Was good while it lasted. lol. -
Nice meetin ya Wayne hope you and your son had fun. Some (bad) pics..

He didn't give me a speeding ticket there man, he said the fine will come in the mail in a few weeks. I actually did want to ask why he couldn't give it to me then. And I found out it was actually over 7 of us he pulled over. He let the XR6 go because he wasn't and I quote by Mr. Officer 'a f@cking rice burner'. Even though he clearly had our club stickers on his car... It's stuffed in so many different ways. We'll definitly be contesting it as my friend only has one demerit point left. I don't care about the points as it will be my first ticket ever, more about giving them money for nothing. I'd accept a fine for 120 tbh, but no way 140. Thanks for coming Gazza and Skyman. What car were you in Carl? Where'd you meet us up at? Was hard to keep track of who was joining up at each spot, had a pretty good turnout. Had 50 maps and still ran out. I'll make sure we print about 70 next month.

Yeah great cruise guys. Bit long but I still enjoyed it. However, me, Dora (DXPLORA), Adz in the 80, Mike in the VSpec N1 and another s13 got done on the way back home after the cruise, almost hoon lawed, but as they accused us of exceeding 140 (no proof) which we weren't, we only got tickets for speeding and nothing more. The cops were weaving between traffic in front of me without lights, without indicating, and even me having to brake or they'd hit my car when they switched lanes to block us off on the freeway. They didn't even clock us they were all assumed/estimated speeds according to the cops speedo. Not even sure if they could do that. But it was still a good night, cheers for all those who came, esp those who came from Bunbury and NoR. Waiting for that letter in the mail...

As you can see... plenty of clearance with the fan. p.s check out my new radiator hose fitting, never going to corrode again.

Air Con Climate Control Temperature
Magic replied to Marko R1's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Apparantly it's a very common problem throughout the 32-34 series. After my car had it's major service at Autobahn by Fabian (been through a handful of GTRs himself), I was driving home and noticed a lot of heat from the vent by my left foot. Called him up when Iwas on my way home, he asked if I had the air con on and I answered 'no', then he told me to try adjusting the climate control knob, sure enough it went cold when i adjusted it left. It was a bit strange considering it still reacted even though all the electrics air con/fanwise were switched OFF. Skyline air con blows. -
I'll take a pick of my install tomorrow of how to stop it from hitting the fan since I'm pulling crap out while im changing my corroded radiator hose fitting to a stainless one. Bit late in your case, but for guys doing it in the future it's a good idea. Instead of using one of the parts used to mount the fmic up. I screwed a spare onto the left side of the engine so it holds the piping in place solid as a rock. Also, need to remove the Neo engine cover.

M-Spec fits. I Put one on mine. No cutting of fan req'd. Clearance with the bonnet is a bit of a b!tch, hits a tiny bit but no damage done. Probably the way I fitted it tbh. Whoever is quoting you 700-800 is ripping you off. Can get them for 600 and possibly 580 or so with a bit of haggle.

Replacing R34 Sedan Taillights With Coupe Model.
Magic replied to Magic's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Well I COMPLETELY forgot (so did Bruce at FB) about the lower reverse lights on the R34 Coupe. As I saw my friend reverse his 2 door 34 onto my lawn I was like aww f**k! I'm scrapping this idea, but I definitly encourage any high rollers with the coin to make it happen, I think it'd look mint. Cost-wise you would need about $3,000 for the main brake lights area etc, and then I'd estimate a further 800-$1,000 for the lower reverse lights section. In terms of what needs to be done, that Skylude post gives is a good example. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/553310 reshaping the bootlid to fit it in is the main thing that needs to be done. Decided not to go ahead as I'm aiming for a 34R late 2009, early '10. -
Good stuff guys. Skylines always dominate our cruises # wise. Mostly GTR's surprisingly. Still yet to see a 34R on one of our cruises mind you.
