  1. Recently i had a oil filter relocation kit fitted to my 32GTR and new oil etc... and now im noticing that the oil pressure is dropping down between 0 and 2 on the pressure gauge but while warming up it sits on 3 to 4 on the gauge but after i finished driving and open the oil cap there is plenty of oil in the head, i was wondering if its dropping because of the extra travel the oil has to make thru the oil lines from the old filter location to the new location

I currently have a os giken twin plate clutch in my 32GTR and im getting a squeek coming from it but if i push the clutch in it goes away, or if i tap the clutch while driving it sometimes goes away, i was wondering if it may be one of the springs in the clutch has broken or something? Any help would be most greatful.
  3. whats a good $$$ figure for a engine rebuild with all forged bottom end and rebuild head?
  4. i only use the car as a weekend cruz car, i havent had it on the track yet living in sa no one has much of a chance gettin their car on the track
  5. na i didnt even think about it, sorry guy and gals. so with what i have read and researched 315kwatw is a safe power output for my `93` 32gtr? the next stage of my car mods will be a engine rebuild but not for another 6-8 months (to raise funds), ive had garrett gt2860r turbos put on about 3 months ago and with them running at 40% ( about 10lb boost) the car still made 315kwatw, when they tuned it i told them i wanted it at a very safe level for standard internals but really when it comes down to it i have know idea whats on the inside, for all i know it could be chocka block full of jun parts. and if anyone wants to know martin donnan tunes my car cheers
  6. Just wanting to know the limits of a rb26 before u should put forged internals in it, or what power has people got in their rb26 with standard internals, mine has 315kwatw.

  10. Wasn`t TOP RPM a R33 GTR a while ago with a 2.8l kit in it with the T88 strapped to it??

  14. when we fitted these turbos i was always goin to totally re-build the engine by puttin forged internals and all the good stuff in the head so that the turbos ran efficient and put a hks merge pipe between a new manifold. Martin Donnon tuned my car when we fitted the turbos and he said all gtr`s get it, but i thought that cant be right, but didnt say anything knowin that he knows a hell of a lot more than me. so its basicly the engine cant use the extra boost pressure?

  16. we`ve tried swappin b.o.v`s and different spring rates and the standard b.o.v`s seem to cope with it betta, put trust type r b.o.v on and it messed the idol up cos of the return of air past the afm again;

A while ago i upgraded the turbos on my 32gtr to garrett 28/60`s-10 and when i ease on the throttle very slowly i get a chh, chh, chh, chh, chh coming from the turbo area, there on a stock manifold and got stock dumps, would be part of the problem? Have checked all clamps hoses anything i can get to and nothing helps, please help?

  19. yeah i reckon keeping the 26 block is the way to go providing its still in good nick, ive done a bit of research on people doin a rb30/26 built and most of them are wishing they neva done it they say they spend more time at their work shop than they do on the street or track

  21. it mainly does it while just crusing along around 80-100kph when i notice it most but yeah mainly mostly just in 4th and 5th
  22. am running a blitz duel sbc. i thought running a turbo charged car with out bov`s can cause the turbos damage when ran at a decent boost level
  23. thanks for your input fellas, im not to sure if the engines been previously rebuilt or what, but at the same time im trying to built a reliable street/track car. at the moment my cars makin 320kwatw and my target is around 450kwatw the turbos i have are only running around 60% capacity due to not knowing if the engine has forged internals or what. but i guess if the engine hasnt previously been rebuilt i may stick with the 26 block the last thing i want is to spend all that hard earned for nothing but head aches

Howdee guys and gals, this is probably a stupid question but ill put it out there, im looking at rebuilding my rb26 and wanting to know if it would be better to just put forged internals in th rb26 or get a rb30 block and fill it with forged internals and bolt the rb26 head to it and fill the head with all new goodies?
