THis is easy If you money was not a concern i would get the Os Giken 3.0lt. and pair of HKS GT-RS turbos for all the mombo jumbo power you can eat. Cost=30K But if you live in a reality world and know how expensive it all can add up (all the supporting mods) I would stick to the orginal proven 2.6lt (nissan thought so too for over 10 yrs) and build it stronger and stick in some HKS GT-SS or for bit more power GT2530 turbos for a well rounded car. Cost=10K good luck.

Will These Turbos Suit My Appication?

what are you trying to achieve with these turbos? then you have your answer. if big hp then yes. fast response then no. -
Battery Being Drained In 6days - Alarm Possibly?
Bonsai replied to 75coupe's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
like SLEEPR85 said i bet its the alarm siren needs replacing if you put that voltameter gauge to your battery you should get 0 reading if you get something higher there is a draw of current some place. replace the siren is a good place to start. it all sounds like your alarm. btw what alarm do you have? -
This is easy. Just compare cars and get them inspected by someone that specialise in your desired car. Car is then worth what you are prepared to buy it at and seller prepare to let it go. So now go and do your homework.

Just recently finished some serious Cisco study and passed my CCNA exam my girl said she would treat me to what ever I wanted for passing the exam. haha you should never say that to a person who owns a GTR with endless upgrade options. Well this was good timing my GTR was running like an old dog with asthma. It has gradually gotten worse and worse and it was seriously in-need of an upgrade. So I ordered some Splitfire Coils from Croydon Racing Developments and within 24hrs I had them in my hand. So the plan was for the weekend was I would put them in. I also searched the forum and could not find any DIY. This was also perfect opportunity to replace the spark plugs which were last replaced about a year ago. Previously I had used standard iridium plugs worth about $19 each. I got my weekend taxi driver (aka the misses) and headed off to Super Cheap to see if I could source some good cheap plugs what the F##K was I thinking super cheap, the Misses was happy seeing the price of spark plugs on the wall $3-$5 each. Long story short they did not have what I wanted and I walked around to Autobarn lucky they are close to each other and I spoke to guys and they had a good range of NGK iridium's. I settled for the Iriway 7 @ $30 each the same stuff Greddy and branded stuff is made off except there name is on it IMO. Previously I had the standard NGK iridium but this time I wanted to treat myself and the GTR since the misses is paying for it so I also got a magnetic spark plug socket size 5/8 this is good trust me the spark plugs don't fall out when picking them up or when replacing them back in. Got to the counter gave everything to the misses and $190 later misses nearly fainted she says "nothing f@#kn cheap about the GTR" I had to laugh. Ok down to the nitty gritty. This is not a hard job to do once you know what to do. I am not a mechanic what so ever but I do believe I can try to save some money where I can and this is not rocket science. What I will point out is if you got a sore back then don't do it but that's about it. Just follow the steps and it should be all good. Once I was finished I took my girl for a test drive to see the difference. Man I all I can say the instance difference you notice when you put your foot down. This was unbelievable the GTR drove so much better I can't describe how good it felt to drive the car just the way it was intended to drive. All I can say is this is an important vital upgrade on an almost 20yr car. Me and the misses were very impressed can't wait to drive it again. Was it worth it........... yes it's definitely worth it.

Sorry dude if i sounded harsh or something i might have read into it wrong, just that i like to defend two things that matter the most to me and thats Redhat and GTRs lol Sorry. I love those two things the most, finally owning my 32GTR and passing my RHCE exam. Peace. learing any form or linux is great and I encourage that to all people. "A world without fences who would need Gates"

Guys just to let you know if you have never sat a Redhat exam you don't know what you are talking about. Secondly ask any linux person who has installed Redhat linux they allways install through text line never through GUI as its much faster and and you can custom install it more ways than you can skin a cat. And if you think you can pass the RHCE exam through using GUI install/commands good luck better still give ma call. btw its a 8hr practical exam not mulit choice like easy pease MCSE. Just do your self a favour google up top 10 IT CERTS and how people feel about Redhat cert over MCSE cert etc. REDHAT is renowned as the crown jewel of LINUX certs now ask your self why.

Is There A New Worlds Fastest Low Mount Gtr?
Bonsai replied to Beer Baron's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
Good work. Would love to see the dyno graph especially the torque figure and know the complete engine specs -
I just wanted to update everyone I have now completed CCNA. I still believe RHCE is worth its gold and creditinals and sets the standards for all other IT exam certifications. I am now going to focus more on personal important things than stupid job rat race certs. If work had to pay me according to my certs they could never afford me lol.
-
Thanks for letting us know . I was wondering about them now i know. You really do get what you pay for, just not worth it in the long run, you end up spending twice. I will sit and wait untill i can afford some Trust/Greddy they are so nice.

$200 Cash Anyone That Can Get Me Into A I.t Job Sydney
Bonsai replied to 5ky's topic in New South Wales
Welcome to the wonderful world of IT. My best advice to you is get out while you can cause its not worth it. Do something else while you still can lol. Ok if that did not change your mind then i suggest you go around to some IT Recuritement agency and talk to them they will want your resume sent via email and follow up and tell them you will pay them $200 if they can find you a IT job haha. I am sure it will work out soon or later but keep following up with them. When you do get a job most likely it will be on a contract basis work your ass off so you get a good reference its all worth more than your studies alone. ...if i had of know this when i got in IT I would have spent an extra yr at uni doing a engineering major and be happy right now. good luck. -

R34 Gtr - Which Coilovers?
Bonsai replied to Bakes's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
This is easy if your driving on street and want an upgrade from standard allways go for street type coilovers if you want track then get track coilovers. long story short you will have pain in your ass and up your spine with anything harder than street spec coilovers for daily driven car. -
Do Any Alarm Systems Have In Built Turbo Timers?
Bonsai replied to Bakes's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I think the Viper does but I think you will find that every time you want to lock it you auto timer will be on. Not too sure thou. But what you can do is get seperate auto timer cheap as chips and install both at the same time. Even set it up to have autolock approx 30 sec or whatever time only in Viper and use your turbo timer when you like when you hit boost too hard too long and all you do is walk away from car and car locks and timer works too set time. You might have to bring the alarm sensor down a bit cause once the car is locked and your timer is running your engine vibrations will set off the alarm but no big problem if you use viper alarm. -
I would also suggest to get your bushes looked at and put your car on a wheel alignment machine to get a reading and get all those things fixed first. This will also make a big difference to handling, adjusting camber etc, and tyre wear. Otherwise your wasting your money with adding coilovers alone. If you allready done this then I would suggest Tein SS if you drive your car 90% for street use, and the place i would recommend would be Fulcrum they give you a full proper report and they don't buge on price but you get what you pay for. I took my car down to their head office in Fairfield Brisbane. They are not the cheapest FYI.

Just a tip, or should i say a big tip depends how you see it. I have RHCE and I have MCSE + Security + Messaging and know heaps of Networking and i can tell you now that if you live in Australia and looking for work 90-99% work is in MCSE related. Linux is very small market and ISP will have a great deal more work with linux. If you want a J.O.B get a MCSA = 4 exams or MCSE = 7 exams or even MCP = 1 exam will get your right foot in the door. MCP is much much easier. I did RHCE to prove something to myself and as a challenge. I have two freinds that want to get RHCE because I have it and its killing them. Both have CCNA and MCSA. both are god dam geeks. both talk them self up and i tell them go sit a Redhat exam and they walk away with there tail between there legs. Anyway best thing to do is to get a IT job and study on the side it never ends in IT. It took me 3mths 14hrs per day 6 days per week to pass that RHCE exam that was with no linux experience @ ALL. I would have sat my CCNA exam by now but i spent too much time and money on my GTR, travel, and girl, ak me again in a short few months and I believe I will have it nailed. don't forget rome was not built in one day. Cheers and good luck.

Welcome to the crazy world of IT. Good luck on your journey of IT study and experience. Took me a while but I got most study completed. Associate Diploma Bachelor IT Griffith Brisbane mcp, mcsa, mcse, mcse + Security, mcse + Messaging RHCT & RHCE And now I am studying for CCNA for the fun of it the exam is coming up real soon. If your stuck for some advice/material/resources i could have a thing or two lol. Prepare to get your hands dirty with linux and redhat. Lets put it this way see all I have completed and about Ten Microsoft exams.....Well nothing stacks up to Linux study and the RHCE exam its one SOB. I applause anyone who can complete this exam. I work with people who have MCSA MCSE and i don't think very high of them at all. One big thing while waiting for right job to come along it does not hurt to keep studying and learning new skills and sitting the exams it shows through on your resume for your next job interview. Good places like to see a mix of both.
