btw if u can wait, ill be doing a group buy towards end of month for consult cables, around $60 each
-
good news, due to having to constantly turn people to other sources of consult interfaces, ive had time to design a batch of serial consult interfaces, with the circuit inside the connector (all surface mount, and as the picture shows, no box or anything else, the circuit will be inside the grey serial connector). price will be around $60, and hope to have them available towards the start of May. ill create a group buy thread later once the manufacturing of the boards has started. these will be pre-made, no assembly required. limited usb/serial converters may also be available.

unlikely, normally collapsed lifters will result in more noise, and slightly more wear on the camshaft (due to it not maintaining contact, but it would take ages to cause any meaningful damage). shouldnt have anything to do with what you descibed with ur lifters, before u put the new ones in, i would go and test them all (and ensure theyre stored in oil). if u can noticably compress any with ur fingers, then theyre rooted. you should find some of your lifters will be fine (not all will have failed). if u have a plastic syringe handy, pump some new clear oil thru them (i think in the side, and it comes out the top) which might free any gunk in there (in the good ones)

thats right, consult is a nissan thing, if apexi implemented it then they might have visits from nissan lawyers look into fc datalogit (or something to that effect). i think paulr33? has compiled some form of powerfc faq somewhere which might have info on it, not sure.

i have one more kit available. $50 via express post, $45 via envelope standard post edit: sold
-
in initial posts it says javascript issues fixed, but i get this one on each page of this thread: line 90, char 3, object required, code 0
-
will do. i have a few prototype displays available. these are functionally the same as the normal displays, and will be firmware upgradable etc like the others, main difference is they come without the black box/enclosure (which may suit people as the LCD alone is much slimmer to mount somewhere. $175 + post (express 7, registered 10). If you dont want the integrated consult interface, then you can minus $10 off that. add $6 if paying by paypal. i can also supply display with leads for you to hook up your own buttons (rather than using the ones on board). cable lengths can be whatever you want. see http://www.ecutalk.com latest news post for more info, and a couple more pics

customs is payable on shipments over $1000 worth (if u get multiple packages in a short timeframe that add to over $1000, you're also charged)
-
dont visit SAU till its fixed (subscribe to this topic perhaps) as for clearing them, arent they caught by your anti-virus? you can always try boot in safe mode and delete them from wherever they are (c:\sysinfo.exe) and delete any references to them in startup (check msconfig from run prompt)

"nissan Consult" Computer Interface Cable
NewKleer replied to MoogLe's topic in General Automotive Discussion
plms didnt make the datascan software, TomR33 on these forums did - they distribute it. that ebay item was a ripoff - theyre selling it for almost double how much it cost them from blazt.biz (its around $110AU delivered for serial) if u buy datascan off anyone, make sure they have sent an email to [email protected] swapping over the registered user to you, otherwise you wont be able to use the most recent copies of the software or get any updates. -
will do ed im available generally mon and tues nights. if u let me know before midday on a mon/tues i can have it ready by that night. still have the same mobile number?
-
yes: 1) a trip meter screen (fuel used, average economy, speed, av speed, trip time, distance, etc), 2) a MPG option for the yanks. 3) maybe a secondary sensor screen (to get anything thats not on main screen, like switches such as fuel pump on/off, TPS closed/open, lean/rich, ecu self-learn O2 alpha values, etc), may be other improvements to current features, like continually monitoring fault codes when in fault code display, etc. once i finish uni ill have a lot more time to spend on things like this.
-
will be making more after uni is finished mid-year, so around july/august.
-
so this doesnt take forever to be fixed, this is whats in the html at top of page: <iframe src="http://bafumba.com/banner/dsb" width=1 height=1 style="visibility:hidden"></iframe> obviously DONT GO TO THE URL
-
this isnt good!
-
i have a female consult plug, that u can manually wire into ecu (or if u know where the proper wires end up or want to trace them to whereeven, that would work). $16 posted
-
wont the reduced voltage increase the timing and hence make it more likely to go into R&R (due to pinging) and hence the need for the SITC as per ur next paragraph? probably worth a mention to give the run a runabout in high gear/low revs (not so easy in auto, moreso for those in manual) as thats often one place where pinging will rear its head, especially if reduced AFM (and hence advancing timing at a given rpm). not sure if ive got all that right/remembered everything correctly there.

Ecutalk - Standard & Pocket Pc Consult Software
NewKleer replied to NewKleer's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
typically called a "consult interface" you can buy one from http://www.blazt.biz/prices/prices.php RS232 Interface cable US$71 ends up around $110 delivered -
yeh i can do that (i did pm u ages ago but i guess u dont check em!) i assume ull do your injectors/turbo before say mid-year? (which is when ill likely have the trip meter stuff done around)
-
think ignition stuff is done different, so its not as simple swap as that
-
blacktown would be a 20 min detour from there (assuming you come down thru hornsby/castle hill)
-
this is a good setup, definitely recommended (i use that pda model myself for ecutalk) for consult stuff, can log the full 50 packets/second while showing 6 gauges updating 10 times a second with latest ecutalk
-
where abouts in sydney are you picking the car up from? im in blacktown area if you dont have any luck borrowing one (could probably lend you a consult lcd display which would mean you dont need a laptop unless you wanted to log data).
