Hey guys, Wanting to put the car on stands, i've jacked up a few r33's under the front suspension setup to place the stands on either side but i've never done it on the R34. Just wondering where the point is so i can get it up in the air. Don't want to break anything and although it may sound stupid id like to check! Thanks! Yeah, well i've been trying to decide what to do with it, sell the shell or keep it for a future project. Think im going to put it away and keep it! I hope so anyway!

Was going to be a daily, had a RB25/30 with T04Z, gearbox rebuilt with PAR gearset and a whole lot of shit all done for it, then when the motor was finished (6 months) i decided to sell it all off and go for the GTR. All i have left now is the shell, suspension and wheels and stuff like that.

Haha! Your on the money there man, it has been there since around october last year... I'm just getting them to put the front suspension back in so i can roll it out of there back to another shed. Going to hang onto the shell to possibly complete the project one day On another note, my brother took his WRX there when it was blowing smoke, they diagnosed (literally without doing anything more then listening to it and viewing the smoke) that it was a blown turbo and did up all the quotes and pricing. He took it to subaru for a second opinion, turned out to by bad fuel...

Well its more then possible that when it gets redone, the lines and piping are just organised a lot better, tidier and hidden etc. I didn't get to examine the setups, just look across from the top and admire how neat it was.

Hey guys, Pulled my standard turbo's off my R34 GTR and i'm amazed at how many more hoses, lines and pipes there are on the factory setup. It got me thinking, when i've looked at a lot of 26's that have been modded with low mount twins etc, a lot of the clutter and work that is there from factory is gone, it seems all the lines and piping is much tidier and there would appear to be a lot less of it! Is this the case? i'm wanting to follow similar procedure if thats the case, before i put my other turbo's on id like to purchase whatever aftermarket parts are needed to tidy it all up and simplify the setup. If im completely off track let me know! Otherwise any information on what gets done would be awesome! Thanks. Edit - I am planning the purchase of a HKS Hard Pipe kit, thats about the only one i've planned thus far though.

Thanks! Ill look over what you said and give it a go! You wouldnt know which water line is the best to drain from? I've already dumped the oil out so thats not a problem. Havnt removed the front pipes so i should do that i suppose.

I was told by quite a few people its possible getting them out engine in, just is a slightly larger pain in the arse!

Its not on ramps, i have ramps here though, also have 4 stands and a jack!

Hey guys, Basically i have taken the task of removing turbo's from my R34 GTR by myself, currently i've removed pretty much everything apart from oil / water lines, heat shielding and a few other bits and pieces. Im starting to get a bit confused as to the order things need to come off, and how i go about it. Basically im wanting to know if anyone in the area (Brisbane) would mind lending a hand / knowledge on the process and could possibly help me out one day / evening. I would pay handsomely in alcoholic beverages and food! or happy to give a bit of cash depending on how much work is done! If anyone is available let me know, would be greatly appreciated! Here is a pic of the current state. Also, have taken stacks of pics of whats happened along the way, hoping to develop some kind of D.I.Y RB26DETT Turbo removal guide at some stage Any advice / help appreciated! Even if someone could just give me advice on the order to remove the components

I totally agree with everything said here also! I booked my car in for an alarm install and when i turned up asked if he could install an alpine multimedia unit (fairly large job cause of the need to install multiple devices) and he was only to happy to get it all done, the whole lot was finished that day and it was absolutely perfect! Would recommend him to anyone and everyone!
