  1. Yeah i can't say i am super confident.. i do have a workshop manual that i have read through and it does seem doable, i just don't want to screw something up and end up having to pay for it to be done again +repairs haha..
  2. Hey guys, as the title states i'm looking at a head gasket for my GTR. I am wondering how feasible this is to perform yourself? I have replaced the standard turbo's for aftermarket items myself, and also installed injectors etc so i am not a complete novice when it comes to the motor... If you take it off correctly and torque everything up to the correct settings is it a fairly straight forward process or is it definitely something best left to the experienced mechanic? Thanks guys!
  3. Free Shipping for anyone who sorts out a purchase this weekend!
  4. Yeah ill throw my 34 up.. it should be going again by then!

  8. Item: HSD Systems Type HR Coilovers Age: About 6 months Condition: Never driven on, just sat in a rolling shell! Price: $1300 Neg. Or Swaps for parts to suit GTR (Coolers / Suspension / Electronic Boost Controller / PM with anything else - I am willing to cash adjust either way) To Fit: R33 GTS-T Location: Brisbane Contact: Me here or 0432600397 Comments: INFO FROM SITE - HSD Suspension HSD coilovers, manufactured in Korea, offer outstanding performance at extremely competitive prices. With vast experience producing coilovers for Japanese OEM clients, HSD’s own brand offers the same quality of design and components as the most expensive brands on the market. This is backed up by a 12-month warranty against any manufacturing defect. The performance of HSD coilovers has already been proven in Australia, helping Darren Appleton win the 2005 Drift Australia series. For 2007, the HSD range has expanded to include the new HS ‘street’ series and full competition-spec HT series. HR Series $1599 - $1649 Our very popular HR series is perfect for race and drift use, offering great control and adjustability at an affordable price. Featuring a larger daimater damper (44mm piston) with stiffer valving and 15-step damper adjustment, they also have stiffer spring rates than the HS series. These can still be used for regular driving, but the stiff, short-stroke design is biased more toward the circuit. All HR models feature pillow-ball top mounts front and rear, with camber adjustment on strut suspension models. The dampers are also inverted on strut models for greater strength. Basically like all the other bits i'm selling, were meant for my R33 GTS-T before i took it apart. They have never been driven on and are in brand new condition! Grab yourself a bargain!

  11. Congrats! That looks absolutely mint, i'm sure its a hell of a lot of fun to drive to! I would love a project car.. unfortunately my other car doesn't like me sharing my wallet
  12. Honestly though, i don't think the Nissan engineers meant for the R34 GTR to have absolutely nothing done to it.. It begs for basic bolt ons and when it gets them its a whole different story! My mother has an M3 and i have done around 12000km's in it. They are a fantastic car, they are awesome to cruise in, precise and the engine is amazing. But seriously when i get back in my car, and give it a bit of stick through a few corners you can't help but smile ear to ear and marvel at the machine nissan created. I use my car most days as a daily, except for sometimes when the bike gets a run. I don't find it feels like 'The engine is humping my leg' at all, i find it quite comfortable to putter around in around the city! I think either car is a great choice, but if you can find a R34 GTR V-Spec or V-Spec II and do what i did (Get heaps of the bush's, rubbers and components replaced to freshen everything up, then do the basic bolt ons) i think you will find yourself more then happy with the finished product! Oh and the GTR pulls waaaaaaaaay more attention from people then the M3. Nothing like sitting in traffic in the city and hearing 'Thats the car from 2 Fast 2 Furious!'
  13. Thank god! Someone finally saw sense! Haha
  14. Bump! These are still for sale! Reasonable offers and trades considered! Will trade or do part trades with adjustment for - Electronic boost controller - Cams / Cam Gears to suit GTR - Springs / Shocks / Coilovers to suit GTR - Intercooler to suit R34 GTR - Any other performance parts of interest to suit GTR just PM me!
  15. Chasing an AVCR or equivalent for my GTR. Must be complete and in good working order, will swap for items in my topic with or without cash adjustment or buy outright. Thanks.
  16. Prices are NEG. Make an offer! Will trade intercooler for electronic boost controller (AVC-R or Similar)
  17. WOW! Really appreciate you going to the effort to write that mate, i will take your advice on board! Some very good points you made there which i didn't think of at all. Your right, not cheap at all but i figure i've spent the money on the car it deserves to have a package of equal quality! I need to look into the brakes i didn't consider that as heavily as i should have and they are an extremely critical part of a track car of course...
  18. Hey guys, So basically i got taken for a drive in a 350 - 400awkw R32 GTR setup for track.. i was blown away and i loved it so much it got me thinking about my own car. I want to take my car to track days on weekends but still be able to drive it whenever i want during the week reliably. I don't know everything about modifying cars, and i'm not a mechanic so the list i'm putting together is just from opinions, my limited knowledge and general information i have come across. Feel free to correct where i have gone wrong and suggest something completely different if you like! Engine - Either Tomei 2.8L Kit or Full house 2.6 (Leaning towards 2.6 for responsiveness and revs) Head - Unsure exactly, but definitely light to moderate head work with cams, valves, springs, cam gears etc) ARC twin entry cooler (Brand doesn't necessarily have to be ARC i just love their gear) ARC oil cooler ARC trans cooler (Do i need this?) ARC 3 core radiator (Or other brand) Upgraded Thermo Fans Upgraded Oil / Water pump (Unsure what type, still deciding) HKS 2530's (Currently have R34 N1's) HKS Dumps / Fronts and Exhaust (Already Have) 700cc Sard Injectors (Already have these) Pump (Current probably wont support new mods) Sump extension (Do i need this?) Pod Filters in closed induction box Z32 AFM x 2 Custom Water / Oil catch can combo Thats all i can think of Suspension - Nismo LM GT4 19" (Will most likely use standard wheels for trackwork though) Bilstein PSS9 kit (Sydneykid package) Camber Kits Caster Kits Swaybars I'm sure there is some other stuff i should be looking at here?? Driveline - Nismo Coppermix twinplate Thats it off the top of my head, im sure i have missed some little bits here and there.. and i know there are a million of these threads but i'm just chasing opinions from people with experience! Thanks guys.
