  3. o ok, i am hoping for more than 300 so will have to go bigger than the gtrs kit. that sounds like a serious machine! do drift or are you more circuit? RB30-power i was looking at the 3076 pro s from hks i think but that is a really pricey turbo and thought there would something else. wats the 3540 rated at? is the A/R wats going to affect spool? thanks guys gezza
  4. hey mate im having a similar problem with the leaking, mine is from the gasket we think but i have been told that it should be fine aslong as i dont give it too much, like more than mayb 6000rpm. ud have trouble with roadworthyness tho i think. i was quoted about 500-600 to get the gasket and studs changed so am going for new mani and exhaust instead. hope i helped

  6. not yet, its my only car for a while but definatley race car once iv got another car. 4" will be to big until i get close to that sorta power wont it? haha who needs ac when uv got windows. was looking at the gt30r or the gt3071r, but im still learning about turbos and am kinda reading some of the info with out knowing what it impacts. thanks heaps mate Gezza
  7. alright, thanks for your help GeeTR, ill see what the guy reckons about going straighter. although its street driven now it most likely to be converted to full time track eventually and id prefer to get things done right the first time. im also looking at turbos rated between 475-600hp but i need something with a good spool as my end intent is to use it for drifting, any idea for one that will get me a bit over 300rwkw but acheive good spool? been looking here http://www.slidingperformance.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=25.

  9. lol im getting excited already, havent even got the thing booked in yet. how much did that all cost, ive been quoted around 2300 for a full custom 3.5inch and new manifold. think ill get it made so i can swap the cat in and out for track use. thanks for your help.
  10. thanks for your help guys, probably go wit the 3.5 just to make sure, i wanna get it as close to right first time. 3.5 alows me to dable in the 300+power range. in ideas for turbos though? thanks heaps Gezza
  11. im not aiming for much over 300rwk at the end of the day, thats along way away yet though. only looking at mide sized turbo as ill be using it for some drifting so need good spool. got any ideas for a good turbo based around those needs. thanks for your response guys, all new to this so any help is much appreciated. gezza

  13. wat kind of price is not alot more? do u have any turbos in mind as i am on a budget but need an upgrade. the turbo would be more for drifting than huge power, nothing too big as i need good spool. thanks heaps
  14. hey guys im new to driving skylines as i have bought my first just recently (r33 gtst s1). the one thing i need to do is replace the exhaust manifold, but i need some advice as i dont want mine to lose power after some mechanic plays with it. 1st question is should i go all out and get an aftermarket manifold such as a hks one or just replace it with stock? 2nd question is could any1 give me an idea of how to replace it myslef? thanks in advance! ps... good luck with fixing the problem R3380Y
  15. hey guys/girls im new to modifying and am just after some advice. 33gtst, currently pretty stock just has a front mount and k&n typhoon cold air intake, wat else should i add to be sitting on about 210rwk? i dont want to be running over 12psi at the moment though. brands if you know of any good ones aswell please. your advice would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.

  17. yeah i havnt seen any pics of it befor it was repaired, but i will definatley check out the suspension and radiator, hopefully it didnt go that far. he is a mechanic and repaired it himself and is asking 8,500 for it so i dunno how sketchy it will be, if it turns out horrible i will definatley just hold off for a good straight 1 to come along. nah not ghey mate, just enjoy all forms of motorsport. thanks for your help and advice, much appreciated.
  18. is there a possibility of upgrading the turbo and still having a quite car at low rev and an insane one at high rpm range? i too would enjoy to stay under the radar but would love to have the rb scream when i wanted it. thanks in advance
  19. hey there im only new to the site and dont actually own my own car yet but judging by the cars i have been in id probably have to go high flowed turbo as it sounds awsome!
  20. i am in the market for a daily/drift car and have found a cheap r33 gtst the only thing is that it has been in an accident causing damage to the front left fender, it has been repaired and is supposedly good for a rwc but im still suspicious. could some one suggest wat problems would come with this type of damage and is it worth purchasing? your advice is much appreciated!
