The engines I'm not too sure about yet, trying to find management at the moment. I know VQ30DET's are cheap enough but I want the smaller capacity one to start with, then I can start looking at interchangeable parts etc.
Same bottom-end yeah, but it's the head & the fact that it's the smaller cc that matters to me because of the tax-system over here which is based on the cc of your engine, not the emissions (for now) or anything else. So for example I'm paying €539 per year for a 2L now, a 2.5L is €821/961 depending which side of the 2500cc mark you are, & 3L + is €1343! Multiply those numbers by 1.5 & you'll get the rough OZD equivalent & that's before you put fuel in the tank! Oh, & those figures just increased by 9%, 11% & 11% respectively there the other week so you can see why I want to keep the engine's original cc low.
Has anyone even seen engine management or any performance parts for these at all? There must be some somewhere that aren't in Japanese??
