A MAN who put a seat-belt over his slab of beer - but not the five-year-old boy next to it - has shocked police near Alice Springs. Constable Wayne Burnett said he was ``shocked and appalled'' when he pulled over the Holden Commodore on the Ross Highway south of the desert town on the weekend. ``I haven't ever seen something like this before,'' hesaid. ``Sure we get beer out of vehicles that is being taken into restricted areas but this is the first time that the beer has taken priority over a child.'' He said the driver of the car ``just looked at me blankly'' when he was handed a $750 fine for driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle, and failing to ensure a child is wearing a seatbelt. ``He didn't get it,'' Const Burnett said. ``I asked him about the fact the child was unrestrained and the beer was, and he said he didn't know anything about it.'' Const Burnett said there were five people in the car, including the child, along with the 30 pack of beer. ``There were four adults in the car, two in the front seat and two in the back seats and in between those adults there was the carton of beer strapped in with thebelt,'' he said. ``The child was sitting in the lump in the centre, unrestrained.'' Superintendent Sean Parnell of Alice Springs policesaid he was appalled by the incident. ``This serves as a timely reminder to all drivers to ensure they wear seatbelts and ensure as is their responsibility that all passengers in their vehicle aresecured in the appropriate manner,'' he said in a statement.

laps at the moorabbin place are roughly 1 min 25 or so.. so its a very long lap

I went to this one in Moorabbin a couple of weeks ago. Apparently it is the longest track in Australia. It was pretty awesome. Its pretty close to Southland on Chesterville road. From memory we paid $40 for 15 laps. www.gokartsport.com

Looking for a new door handle and barrel for an r32 as some bastard tried to break in to my car last nite. pm me cheers

so if get one new barrel for my driver side door, and go to a locksmith with my old key and tell him to recode the barrel to the original key can this be done? im assuming it is cheaper?

Just thought id let off some steam at those damn bastards who tried to break in to my car parked at Crown last night. They total f**cked my door handle and ripped out the key barrel to the drivers side door. except the stupid idiots couldnt get in still! pathetic.. So now i need 3 barrels one for each door and one for the ignition.. or i can keep that key and have two keys.. one to start the car and a different one for the doors.. My question is. Has anyone fitted barrels? and is there a diy on this? cheers

by the way i also had to adjust my cas all the way to get the idle lower.. at one stage too. so im betting my money on that

i had exactly the same problem about a month ago. guaranteed its your start up air regulator.. take that off undo the four screws and see if the spring has fallen off.. if it has hook it back up.. with mine the spring had fallen off thus screwing up my idle as too much air was getting pushed through at times and then not enough other times.

Okay, ,I got a boost controller for the Beast. (R32 Gts-t) and have looked through the pics on the forums for installing it. I have hooked up the actuator hose to the controller. but i cant find where the other pressure source hose is? some one please help.. bit of a noob when it comes to boosting

thanks for the replies guys. Just wanted to let you know i sourced the problem of my idle issues to the Air regulator. Things i did which also may have affected idle where: Changed fuel filter - this was a bitch to change haha Replaced spark plugs to iridiums 0.8mm spacing - original sparks werent fouled Checked coil packs - no hairline cracks fortunately. Also did an oil change. Wala.. I swapped the air regulator as the DIY said to undo the four screws to clean the insides.. but they were so tight i didnt bother, and i just swapped it for an air regulator off my old engine.. Now i just have to set idle correctly again and ill be all set.. cheers
