  1. Cheers. Yep exactly the same, same length and diameter at each end. Good to know for future reference.
  2. Removed the grease nipple and squeezed out some of the excess grease, seems better now. Don't overdo your greasing ppl!
  3. 1.38 bar! No more boost leak! Thanks heaps for your help again mate, this together with the new rotors has finally put the car back to the level it was before the last couple of track days
  4. I seem to have re-introduced the issue in a mild form, and I'm pretty sure it has to do with over-greasing the tie rod end. I'm now getting it turning right (haha) and can feel the rubber boot fairly full of grease, whereas the RH side is a lot emptier. I did just re-grease it too and I'm pretty sure it's related. Now I need work out how to get the excess out, there's a little ball valve in the grease nipple but pushing that in doesn't seem to do much. Maybe I need to undo the whole grease nipple, need to go hunting for a 5mm spanner somewhere...
  5. Here's some King Springs that were listed in late Dec: https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/468367-r33-skyline-king-springs-lowered-front-rear-kdfl101-kdrl61sp/ You can run those with stock shocks but likely to start leaking at some point
  6. Clutch is a different type so you'll need a 33 clutch, or swap over the bellhousing to retain your 34 clutch What's wrong with your current gearbox, why go through the trouble?
  7. First result on google: https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/139916-diy-r34-manual-conversion-using-r33-parts/
  8. Also do the most basic test - put car in neutral and turn wheel by hand when jacked up. If there's increased resistance at a certain spot across the rotation it could be the hand brake assembly, this was one of the issues with mine.
  9. When I took my original rear rotors off they were a bit rusted making it harder to get the bolt in. As per Duncan's comment it's a standard size at least with the OEM rotors. Maybe give the hole/thread a good clean with some degreaser and a wire brush?
  10. Kudos reckons Neo part is unique but I couldn't find the R33 part number. If the rubber tapers slightly (different ID at each end) it's likely the same or very similar. ... Now, I'd like meet the Nissan engineer who thought it'd be a good idea to mix different pipe diameters across the intake system?!
  11. Ah I see, totally. If was more patient I'd order just the reducer from China, they do pretty much any size. Awesome thanks man!
  12. I agree, would be good to have a good fit - do you have a link to the kit you're thinking? I've done a zillion searches on eBay but found nothing that is exactly right. I could but I though that would be 3-4 mm loose at both ends? Is yours a Neo? Also I checked with VPW and all their reducers below 3" are only 75mm long, the current rubber is 105mm so it'd be 30mm shorter. Whether that matters I'm not 100% sure.
  13. Ok did some more homework on this. Kudos do have the OEM part but it's on back order ex Japan. They quoted me $110+freight for 14460-AA101, however looking at it now I'm pretty sure the correct part is 14463-AA101 'HOSE, AIR INLET': http://jp-carparts.com/nissan/partlist.php?maker=nissan&type=81&fig=144C&part=14463AA101&page=3 In the meantime I got some cheap 2.5" silicone hose off Autobarn, see how it goes... Also it looks like there is in fact an older thread about this very issue, 2.5" is meant to work though not optimal: https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/410659-silicone-reducerjoiner-size-rb25det/
  14. Yep all four corners up for sure since it's 4WD. I've made small adaptor blocks out of wood to allow jack stands under the sills, at the standard jacking points. This means that the suspension is fully unloaded when on the stands. There shouldn't be any issues running your car on stands unless there's enough vibration to cause it to jump off, which is pretty unlikely. As a precaution you could have a mate with one hand on the ignition to shut it down in case anything goes astray.
  15. I've been happy with my Mishimoto so far but haven't tracked it yet. Water and oil have barely hit 90 in normal-ish driving even on 35+ days.
  16. Good plan. Put the rear on stands and run it in 1st gear & listen carefully next to each wheel, that helped me pinpoint some of the issues.
  17. Ooo I'm really looking forward to this now! Would the 2.75in (70mm) seal on the larger 66mm pipe though? One of the reducers is 60mm to 70mm. ... Actually scratch that, I just got confirmation that the reducer is only 75mm long so it won't work anyway, bummer. Kudos do one of the rubbers for the crossover pipe but I think it's the throttle body one - for $88! I think I'll just go to Autobahn and get some basic 2.5" silicone and lots of lube... Unless someone knows any wreckers I could try in Melb?
  18. Quick question, does anyone know the part number or exact sizing of the silicone joiner/reducer that connects the intercooler return pipe to the elbow that runs into the plenum? I've got a boost leak and found a nice gaping hole on the underside of the joiner so I'm looking for a replacement but it's an odd size: Cooler return pipe OD 60.2mm Elbow OD 66mm Length 105mm approx. The closest I can find on eBay is: 2.35" (60mm) to 2.5" (63mm) OR 2.35" (60mm) to 2.75" (70mm) I'm not sure if the 2.5" will stretch enough, and whether the 2.75" will seal properly? Here's a photo off Wikipedia, the part I'm after is the black rubber joiner right in the middle of the photo: Thanks guys!
  19. I had a low speed scuff and a click after installing my new Nismo 1.5-way, turned out to be two unrelated issues: Handbrake setup binding Tail shaft counterweight just touching the mid muffler at certain revs, making a clicking noise Neither issue was diff related but I was super attuned to all noises from the rear after getting the LSD done
  20. You probably mean: Secret Squirrel Tweak site:sau.com.au Result #1: https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/320919-turboing-25de-neo-tps-tcu-for-25det-pfc-problems-help/
  21. Very cool, internal or external gate? What's the brass fitting on the left?
  22. The Skyline just presented me with an EOCY bonus, a cool boost leak. No wonder it's not hitting expected boost. I'm still keen on hearing others' Dual SBC settings if you run the same controller, especially if your boost holds flat to redline.
  23. Yep Jesse will do springs but can get exxy with shipping because heavy metal
