Non-turbo? Probably 4-5k. No offence but R33's (well any R-chassis really) are not a good first car, nor a reliable daily. Please get something newer and safer to get started in.

Assuming it's a 25 Neo just get a Nistune for your existing ECU mate, no need to upgrade further for basic mods like a turbo back. I've got a GTT with manual conversion and the original auto ECU with Nistune works just fine.

My car had fuel pressure issues initially after putting in the new Walbro 450, it flows _a lot_ of fuel. My workshop spent a bit of time troubleshooting it and ended up swapping the stock reg for a Magnaflow, which settled it down. Good riddance of that flex sensor, who needs anything but ethanol anyway

Dropped by today, the V8's race was great fun in the wet, some proper driving skills required. Still, I'm sorry to say that compared to 2003 when I first went to the F1's in Melbourne, the cars sound like s__t these days. Too quiet, too confused. Those older naturally aspirated V10's on song, reverberating from the nearby buildings was absolutely heavenly. A true symphony. In addition to the safety halo, there's something else weird about the new cars too. There tyres seem... too small? Or have the cars grown? Anyhow, I do feel that the whole circus is slowly going the way of the dodo. They don't seem very good at renewing the formula (pun) – it feels like most of the entertainment (F18's, The Roulettes, celebrity race etc. etc.) was pretty much the same as 15 years ago.

Perhaps in the UK but certainly not in Aus or NZ The cheapest GTT right now on CarSales is AU$8k. TradeMe has one with a 26 in it for NZ$10k...

My 4door had 3 already installed on the parcel shelf from compliance. The coupe has no middle seat in the back right, so you only need two? Should be easy enough to buy the parts off eBay and drill & install yourself. What's the airbag reference, surely there are no rear airbags in these 1990's cars?

Not all GTT's have the triple gauge cluster – mine came with the Japan-only Xanavi satnav with the popup lid. A full GT to GTT swap is quite intensive to do. Look for things like brakes and BMC (GTT units are larger), rear shocks like Jordy stated, also from memory GT's don't come with a rear swaybar stock. If you want a solid factory GTT 4door buy mine, all you need is a tilt tray for freight

Please do a search for RB25DE+T or DE+T e.g. https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/335781-r34-rb25de-to-turbo-conversion/ In short, turboing an NA car is not worth it. Here's what the GTT has over the GT, among other things: stronger gearbox, bigger brakes, bigger wheels for the bigger brakes, rear swaybar, sidemount intercooler, everything in the right location in the engine bay. Possibly some differences in cooling also (rad, PS, auto gearbox). Fully converting a GT to a GTT is possible but a big job - just save up and buy a proper GTT. Better yet, buy someone else's 500hp car with everything done already. Another solid myth is that buying an auto can be magically converted manual cheaper that buying a manual in the first place. Not true. Been there done that. If you want a manual, buy a manual. Good luck.

^ What he said. Given that 32 R's are getting pretty old and increasingly rare, if it looks like you're getting too good a deal, you probably are. Good examples are hard to find, you just gotta do the work and have the $$ ready. At the current prices I would have a mile long checklist and inspect the car several times in good daylight plus have a workshop go over it in detail. The alternative is to buy the 20k 'immaculate' one and spend another 20k+ fixing it - an option for sure, but tedious.

I was looking at an R32 non GT-R once that had crushed rails. I took a bunch of photos and walked into a workshop, they basically laughed me out. A proper repair will be costly - given that it's a GT-R it may be worth it, or may not be. It will never pass roady unless repaired correctly. I'm not liking all that rust around the lift point either. If I saw that on a car I'd be wondering what happened, why it hasn't been repaired, and what else is wrong. Do a paint thickness check all around at a minimum to see if it's been partially resprayed and/or bogged up, and maybe check alignment if you can for an indication of whether the chassis is true or not.

Rb25de neo wiring loom question
V28VX37 replied to Er34_luk3's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I highly doubt it, I'm 90% confident the auto loom is part of the main engine wiring loom and the manual one won't have all the wires and plugs you'll need. We reused my original RB25DET auto loom with my manual conversion and it worked ok (incl. speedo, reverse etc.) after some minor adjustments. From memory some original plugs are currently disconnected. Why not do a whole manual conversion whilst you're at it? -
^ What Bill said, Jesse supplied a Nismo GT 1.5-way (non Pro) for my 34 sedan. If yours is mostly a street car, let alone a daily, please please go have a proper drive in a car with a mechanical diff before you get one of these, under different driving conditions. In my experience a 1.5-way is awesome on the track and in spirited driving, and s__thouse for residential streets, tight T intersections, driveways, supermarket carparks etc. etc. You can live with it #becauseracecar but I wouldn't, not in a daily. Just my $0.02

Question: Is it possible to install a large 1 to 2L catch can without shifting everything around in the engine bay? I've seen some GT-R bays with a custom box where the battery is but that's obviously a battery relocation job. One possibility could be the front left guard, at the OEM side mount IC location, but I have no idea how you would run the hoses there?

Glad there's a happy ending! Also, LOL -
Lol, yes. The stories we tell ourselves. Re flex that'd be awesome but a lot pricier with pretty much double the tuning time. I won't need the range so should be right with e85 only (famous last words).

Cheers Johnny, I've ordered heaps from Kudos over the years and definitely agree. Looks like they are listing the original F9000267: http://www.kudosmotorsports.com/catalog/fuel-pump-tank-walbro-f9000267-450ltrhr-compatible-nissan-200sx-skyline-gts25-25gt-p-1218.html Whereas EFI have the successor F90000274: https://www.efisolutions.com.au/walbro-450-l-hr-fuel-pump-kit-s14-s15-r33 I'm guessing the F90000274 is the pick since it's newer technology? Thanks! Yeah the wiring in the Walbro pics looks positively skinny - are you suggesting cutting it at/close to the pump and running larger gauge inside the fuel tank also?
