  1. Still very much enjoying my 2013 SS2. If I ever decide to upgrade I'd definitely look into this low mount (or the ATR45SAT if it fits ), together with an external gate off the stock manifold. I reckon the NEO might need some forgies at that point though... Stao is it possible to modify a JJR bellmouth to work without an IWG or is it best to replace the dump/front when going ext gate?
  2. Thanks for the tip Greg, I took the car to Tyrepower North Melbourne today. Great service and aligned exactly to the specs I wanted, at about half the cost compared to the previous place I used to go to. Thumbs up!
  3. Will consider bare R34 GTT stockies as well at the right price, let me know if you have some lying around in VIC.
  4. Bump, still looking for GTT stickies with some decent rubber
  5. Very very nice! Remind me of this simple-yet-striking Gallardo build featured on Speedhunters. I'm guessing exposing your carbon is now a thing?
  6. All you need is + tint I've got a black metallic Momo eBay special gear knob and it's fine all year around.
  7. Just a quick update on my BC BR's; I have just replaced my right rear shock just now as it started leaking, and previously replaced my left rear last year as it got super squeaky. Some more info here. The left side lasted just under 20,000kms and the right let go just now at about 30,000km, both running 220mm 5kg springs on the sedan for all that time. I'm not sure if it's the sedan or these coilovers specifically but the rears seem to wear out quicker than the fronts. The fronts seem to be going ok for now but I'll be keeping an eye on them.
  8. Quick update on this just in case anyone else is having bump steer issues. I was putting stiffer springs on my BC BR coilovers last week and noticed that one of the rears had a slight leak, rear right to be precise, which is where the bump steer issue was most evident. I replaced the insert (shock) last night and lo and behold, the bump steer is good as gone! I compared the old shock to the new by hand and there was very little damping in the old one. So essentially the rear corner has been hanging pretty much by the spring only, no wonder it felt all vague and jittery... Also for context I had previously replaced my left rear shock last year as it got super squeaky; I probably should have been more suspicious of the RH one now. The left side lasted just under 20,000kms and the right about 30,000. I'm not sure if it's the sedan or these coilovers specifically but the rears seem to wear out quicker than the fronts. Lessons learned: Always check the most obvious things first Change things in pairs where you can
  9. Thanks 75coupe. Just to add to this thread, this is a great introduction to race seat fitment from OG Industries: http://www.ogracing.com/blog/2013/06/race-seat-fitment-introduction/ http://www.ogracing.com/blog/2013/06/race-seat-fitment-sparco-evo-series-and-pro-2000/ This picture shows the difference between what you use to bottom mount and side mount a seat. The red arrows point to what the item above is attached to.
  10. Interesting, will need to play around with the settings. I would have thought that full rate of damping adjustment is somewhat acceptable for the default springs (being 8/6) supplied with the coilover? Is there a guide somewhere on matching damping to spring rates?
  11. Some initial impressions of the Sparco Sprint V in the R34 GTT - it's certainly night and day between that and the OEM seat: Pros: Great fit around the hips and shoulders Lateral support is brilliant Standard seatbelt doesn't foul the seat shoulder Solid fitment on the Bride rail with custom offset plates Excellent restraint in track setup with the 4-point harness Cons: The front thigh bolster is pretty high, which means I need to sit pretty close to the steering wheel to reach the pedals well. Side mounting would help as it would allow tilting the seat forward a little. It could be a touch lower, currently it's very similar or marginally higher than the OEM seat - which goes really low for a stock one! Again going side mount would probably allow another 5-10mm drop. Getting in and out of the car is like gymnastics but I'm getting used to it A bit hard in tight car parks though So the main potential improvement is moving from bottom mount to side mount for more adjustability. I'm also looking at getting the lumbar support pads that come standard with the Sparco Pro 2000. I'll try to report back after some longer term use.
  12. Just in case anyone else is looking at doing this, the BC BR 200mm front springs can definitely be used to replace the 220mm rears. I've now gone from 6/5 combo to the BC BR default 8/6 with no issues so far. I did this last week, it's straightforward enough. Seized lock rings gave me some headache and readjusting ride height all around takes a lot of time. I also realised that the preloads were not consistent and have set that to 4mm all around now. Interesting. I've changed virtually of the suspension arms bar LCA's but otherwise most bushings are OEM. Curious to know how a poly bush would reduce body roll though? So far very good actually, 8/6 is a touch more harsh on sharp bumps/corrugations than 6/5 but not massively, I'm quite impressed actually. I'm currently running the 8/6 at 5 clicks from full soft, whereas with the 5/6 I used to have them at 10 clicks. Keen to hear about the chassis bracing Andy if you can PM me some info please?
  13. Bump
  14. Haha thanks Greg, I knew someone must be reading! Let me know if you ever want to check the seat out in car, it's quite different to just sitting in one in the shop, let alone browsing eBay for cool Bride copies...
  15. I got the Bride N105 and I can confirm that it suits an R34 GTT (RWD) sedan. It's good quality, just needs offset plates to suit the Sparco seat. In hindsight a side mount rail might be better to help go a little lower and allow for tilt adjustment too.

  17. Looks like awesome fun! Nice editing too
  18. Those rails look great! It's interesting to see the difference between the side mount rail you have and the bottom one I ordered, which is a single piece. On the one hand you might think that a single piece is more rigid on side impact but then again when bolted properly to the two piece the seat itself becomes a part of the structure I suppose. Does yours have a mounting point for the seat belt receptacle? I hope mine fits and slides ok It was $200 posted, second hand. Hopefully it'll arrive tomorrow so I can check things out. Was a hard one to find.
  19. Ok I've ordered this rail, fingers crossed: Bride Super Seat - Model R34(RWD) - Type RH - Code N105 - Parts list B Next problem: The eyelet bolts supplied with the Sparco harness are M11x1.25 and fit nicely at the rear seatbelt mounts, however the seat rail bolts are M10x1.25. Any suggestions on where to get high tensile (grade 10.9 Metric) eyelet bolts in M10x1.25 in Melbourne or online??

  21. I've tracked down the following Bride rail on sale: BRIDE bottom mount seat rail type-RO drivers R/H side for NISSAN R34 GTT, W405mm x D260mm/235mm bolt holes Details off the sticker: Bride Super Seat - Model R34(RWD) - Type RH - Code N105 - Parts list B > Can anyone confirm if this rail suits an R34 GTT sedan? I've found two older SAU for sale ads for 4door Bride rails and they had the following details on the (older style) sticker: Bride - Model R34 - Type RH (T) - Code N105SO - Parts list SN*1 I can't find a clear answer if N105 and N105SO are for coupe and sedan, or whether the N105 is just a newer version of N105SO?! ... Here's the approximate bolt pattern measurements off the floor pan that I need:
  22. Easier said than done it turns out, I've been trawling the forums to confirm which rails would suit a sedan. 23. Ok I pulled out the OEM seat tonight. I'm 99% confident that there's no way to reuse the stock rails, at least not without binning the rest of the seat, which I don't want to do. The under seat bolts that I measured previously are just for the seat part, the reclining seat back is another separate piece. Also the seat part mounts onto separate 'rotating' L brackets that sit too close together across for the new seat to fit in between. The new seat is about 410mm wide at the bottom. Any recommendations for aftermarket rails for the sedan? I've seen Bride and Powerails, leaning towards Bride but I want to confirm that they suit the car and the seat 100%, with no mucking around. ... Underside of the seat Space between rails. You can see how the seat brackets and bolts sit a lot further in still. 24. Still looking, VIC only for now (sorry) so it's easier to check tyre condition and fitment in person.
  25. Yes indeed. Just to clarify, when I'm talking about rear undertray I mean the whole rear section, not just the diffuser. I agree a diffuser by itself probably won't do much.
