  1. Awesome thanks for the responses guys! Back to my homework then. Oh yeah and the exhaust is 3" with a 3.5" section between the mufflers ... I must've been thinking of the twin 2.5" on the Monaro, do'h.
  2. Hi guys, I'm dreaming up a list of next mods once the weekender is sold. I've checked several threads like this and this but many of them seem quite dated - I'm looking for 2012 information. The car is an R34 GTT with basic upgrades: FMIC, full 2.5" turbo back, high flow cat, TurboTech V2 manual boost controller and Nistune. It's currently pushing just shy of 200 rwkw. I'd be aiming for a reliable 250-280 rwkw in the next stage, preferably without too much lag. I like the idea of a high flow as it bolts straight in. Is this power level possible with a high flow? Are there other companies besides GCG doing good high flows? Besides high flow, what are the other options when staying low mount? Something like a HKS GT-RS? Also I assume the basic supporting mods are a Z32 AFM, 040 fuel pump and injectors (what size?). What else is needed? Also I'd be retaining the Tiptronic auto, would it cope? What kind of overall cost would I be looking at? I'm not keen on doing engine internals, cams, or running E85 etc. Any feedback and recent experiences welcome. Thanks
  3. Still for sale & still packing 290 rwkw (390 rwhp). Happy to answer any questions, just shoot through a PM.

  5. Still available. Updated price & spare wheel information added, see original post above for details.
  6. Thanks Sinista32. The Monaro is now on Carsales too: http://www.carsales....aspx?R=13621723 Hat tip to everyone who's kind enough to 'Report a unique car'
  7. The day has finally come and my brilliant Monaro is for sale. It's probably the polar opposite of a turbo import but I know you'll appreciate a nice fast car anyway Get yourself the Australian icon just in time for summer. Details below. 8. Thanks boostn. Any idea which way the 'cut outs' on the straight bits go?
  9. Thanks! Yeah very happy with them. I ended up going lower-than-normal spring rates (F:6 and R:5, they come in F:8 and R:6 as standard) together with larger sway bars and they work great. Good control yet very compliant ride. Oh yeah and it's a 4 door GTT.
  10. Hi all, I need some more negative camber in the front of the R34 and got some adjustable upper control arms and radius rods: The control arms are eBay brand (nice eh) and the radius rods are SRI from Just Jap. I'd like to know the following before I start pulling the front end apart: 1. I think the OEM upper control arm is just one part whereas the replacement is in two parts. The straight bits have this 'diagonal cut' on the side - any idea which one goes on which side of the car? 2. I understand that the radius rods are the ones right next to the front swaybar, correct (see pic below)? It looks like the OEM rod has this massive rubber bush whereas the SRI pillow ball looks very small in comparison. Is this going to cause any issues? 3. Lastly, what's the best way to keep the original alignment? Just measure the original arms and rods & try to adjust the new parts as close as possible? Thanks guys! Here's some photos of the stock suspension:

  13. Hi all, I've got for sale an unopened & unused set of SuperPro Rear Camber Bushes for R33/R34, p/n SPF1869K. If your car is lowered car these are a must-have to correct excessive negative camber in the rear and to give more traction. Asking $120 ono - these kits are $179 new. Would prefer pick up from inner Melbourne but can post at buyer's expense. PM if interested. Here's a photo of the kit for sale: More information from manufacturer: SPF1869K "control arm upper-inner or outer eccentric bushing" kits. Photo from manufacturer: This kit is pretty much identical to the Whiteline KCA347 and can be DIY-installed with some effort, here's how. Thanks for looking.
  14. Something a bit left field, have you checked your Crank Angle Sensor? Mine was stuffed and was very difficult to diagnose, read more here. Good luck!
  15. This. Turn up the volume!! (via Jalopnik)
  16. I looked into this before I got mine and was lead to believe they only revalve if you go more than 2kg up or down. However mine came direct from Taiwan (Jan 2012 build that I received in January) so I suppose there's a chance they would've matched the valving to suit the lower rates...?
  17. Interesting, sounds like I was trying to do the same with more success... Different cars though, mine's an R34 sedan... Just out of curiosity, have you played around with the stiffness setting much? I remember reading somewhere that extreme settings may not work that well on BC's (i.e. full soft/hard) and you mention 'softest setting' above. I've set mine to 1/3 (8 clicks) from full soft both F&R and it's much better on all surfaces than the previous stock shocks + King Springs. And yeah this is with custom spring rates 6kg front (-2kg from standard) and 5kg rear (-1kg from standard) + bigger swaybars.
  18. I have to disagree on this one. Yes coilover suspension travel is almost always shorter than a shocks + springs setup but that doesn't automatically translate to harshness. I spent a lot of time recently deciding which way to go and ended up getting BC Racing BR coilovers with softer-than-normal spring rates (F:6kg + R:5kg compared to normal F:8kg + R:6kg). Compared to my previous OEM shock + King Spring setup the coilovers are a lot more compliant and less harsh. ^^^ What he said. I was quoted around $800-$900 for a set of new KYBs, add some springs and you're very close to the BC BR prices. For something like Bilsteins + springs you'll be closer to the 2k mark, which should get you Tein SuperStreets or similar coilovers. Check out these threads too: Which Shocks To Complement Lowered King Springs? Coil Overs For My R34 Sedan. What Spring Rate Good luck.
  19. Spring rates would help prospective buyers, they look fairly high judging by the pics. GLWS
  20. Agree Just saw this last night, it's awesome, here's an embed:
