19 inch lenso rims in Bronze colour to fit pcd 5 x 114.3 \not exact on offset although they where on r33 gts-t they are in okay condition. few scratches and a bit of gutter rash on one wheel. tyres are for the tip although you could use them for a few months if needed.The one in the pick is the worst one. no it has a proper vin number i know what it is. Vic roads say they have record of the car, but they say it needs a vin number on the chassis. anyway who knows ?

yeah the police might have it on their records that the compliance plates where stolen . they know i did have a white skyline coupe registered. can't they just look it up under my name and see that it is the same car. i'm desperate i know !

i have a skyline r33 gts - t. The car was stolen and the compliance plates where pinched. They took all three of them so it has none. Vic roads says i can't get them replaced. . Another issue is that the car has had a new motor put in in it. ( still an RB25det) . So the engine numbers don't match either. This would not be a huge problem however i let the car become unregistered and now i want to re -register it. I notified the police and vic roads when it was stolen i told them the compliance plates where missing. have i got any chance of registering this car . thanks any help would be great.

is the car complianced and is it a stat write off and how much for bare shell plus whatever is left over yuou can't sell. prefer to get with sun roof as this would be a c*nt to get in melb

have been doing some more research on this. I have decided it is going to be way to expensive to do. I really love this car but i doubt i can afford it. I have decided to buy an AW11 mr2. know what your thinking thats totally different, but i decided not to waste any more money on cars. i can get a aw11 for about $5000 - $7000 and they are a different original type of car. thanks for all the suggestions that have helped me make my decision

thanks for the suggestions. The car would be registered. I already have an unreg skyline and i miss having a sportscar to drive on the road. I actually found one of the cars used in the tokyo drift movie for sale . Don't know the price though , probably heaps. seriously peoples you can get a 1999 - 2002 rx7 s 8 for $16000 - $17000 landed and registered ( import ). The veilside kit cost $12000 + postage. I can put it on myself. The paint my mate could do for sub $2500. Wheels would cost $2000 . ( don't say no. Because if you have been to the states you would know they are about a third of the price there ) allow even another $6500 for lights and various parts and it still comes out at $40,000 . No way it would cost me $60,000 . btw i realise $30,500 is a bit ambitious as that was based on wrecked RX7 ( can't find any )

Thanks for all the replies . I have read them all. Interesting and helpfull. The car has been stripped of interior parts and has no seats or carpets, sound insultion taken out. Have the sprint v seat ready to go in with harnesses. The air con will be removed next. I am considering putting a carbon fiber bonnet on after the air con removal. I believe these can save approx 8 - 9 kg. after that will remove sound deadening from boot, few extra interior parts to go. BTW how much will the air con on an R33 weigh? how much weight would aluminium radiator save?

i have an r33 gts-t that is being prepped for the race track. Car has approx 220 kw at wheels, but i am more interested i saving weight and improving brakes than geiving it more power at the moment . Brakes will be a big brake upgrade at some point and it already has tein coilovers ready to put in. i am more after some information on weight reduction for the GTs-t can any one provide info on what should remove or replace to gain the biggest loss in weight car is not registered / track only already done removal of interior ( except for drivers seat, centre console, harness ) hicas removed standard rims and dunlop semi slicks boot - tyre and lining removed obviously will remove air - con , but what else should i do . i have no limit want to remove as much weight as possible - goal as close to 900 kg as i can get ( i know thats bold )

I ended up buying the sprint V and putting it in. then came back and checked this thred. oooops . Any way lucky i only bought one of them . I will use it for a while and when i get the cash buy a Velo one for me and use the sprint V for passenger side. It looks good and is comfy. have not raced in it yet as i still have to put new tein coilovers/ braided hoses / ultima pads in car before next track day. will post up when i have used the seat on the track.

So Sad Auction in Japan this week can't register it here in Australia I Hate Holden / Ford / Toyota , if they made cars that looked like this i would buy one , but they are all shit and look crap and are built really badly. And for that reason i can't have this car and that sucks

okay cool . So the series 8 's are considered a different model to the series 6 - 7 . I missed that put of sevs. Anyway answers my question thanks. update on project. Am finding it very difficult to find wrecked or cheap 6 - 7 - 8 series , RX7 . Anyone know where to get a cheap Australian delivered shell or wreck . trying to spend under 10 k.

I am so confused. I looked on EBAY for a series 6 - 8 RX7 and they have them but the phot's are from Auction houses inn Japan. It says nothing about not being able to register them . . Why would they try to sell these cars in Australia. I am right in saying you can't import an 6 - 8 RX7 into Australia and register it here.
