Sports Seats Been Thinking About Saas
nickor33 replied to nickor33's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
have been doing some more research and found some new ones i am interested in . there are heaps. Velo Milano approx $450 without rails Cobra Monaco pro approx $500 sabelt racer duo approx $500 Cobra monaco looks the best so far sort of looks like it has better support than SAAs and lighter to. Does anyone know anything about these and if rails are easy to get to fit R33 gts - t . I know that all R32 - r33 are the same . Are SAAS any good or are they just cheapo. i want a good racing seat but have a budget of $700 inc rails any help would be much appreciated as this is a very hard decision to make. -
thanks for suggestions. Obviously the OEM bar would fit , however i would have to modify that to fit my FMIC and would be back in the same boat. . Just thought that maybe i could use a stock R33 GTR bar and reo does anyone know if this would work. I know the GTR has a wider track and different guards so maybe not. Seriously i will buy a nice looking bar that can be painted, and bolted on to a R33 GTS -t series 1 - 1.5 . I used to have a ST - 162 celica ( first front drive celica ) . the front bar was plastic two bolts and it just slid off. fantastic the reo and the bar where one thing it worked really well. i hope i don't have to resort to putting ST - 162 celica bar on my R33 , LOL by the way does anyone else like ST - 162 i think they are a great car anyway

that series 2 front bar with N1 Vents is really cool. Unfortunately it would definately show reo bar. I know my reo bar with trail bar has been cut way back. You could put mesh behind and spray reo same colour and would notice much i would think.

Insulating The Crossover Pipe

Just doing some more research. found a guy who has measured the difference in temperature 7 - 10 degrees ( don't know what car though but it says the return pipe goes over the radiator like aftermarket gts-t - gtt FMIC kit ) Does anyone agree that even a drop in 5 degree might get you 1 - 2 kw for all the non believers using oven mitts ? nickor33 replied to Guilt-Toy's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
been thinking about oil cooler ( among lots of other mods ) . What are the good oil cooler kits for r33 gts -t . just for light track days, off street drag. would not want to pay more than $400 for whole kit including plate, connections and braided hoses ( 10 - 15 layers ) any suggestions. -
Insulating The Crossover Pipe

I have recently tried this and there is a slight noticeable difference. On paper people may disagree, however i noticed it. I almost went for a turn flow intercooler for this reason. I used some heat reflective shining tape from bunning's and wrapped it around twice and then back along that whole tube. I swear it made a difference and the engine feels a tiny bit more punchy. ( wild guess and i would say 1 - 2 kw @ wheels ) i tried it on the same day in similar temperatures as well. I am just an amateur though but thought i would comment glad i did it. -
i love it , yes, yes, yes i am doing it tomorrow. how much was the kit . where can you get it . phone number cheers

i have had two trial front bars on my r33 gts-t .( keep destroying them). They are the ones you get for $250 bucks on ebay, fibreglass , no clips . Well i have destroyed one again , tried to fix it but is pretty f**ked. I bought a new reo and thought about fabricating better support for the bar so it is sturdy and can be unbolted from chassis . Anyway have been fiddlng around and have come to the conclusion this cheap bar that i bolt onto my mutalated reo bar is never going to be good and sturdy. Does anyone know of a front bar that already comes attached to reo/support bar that can be painted , blinkers attached, bolted in and driven . help am over this

damm i had no idea is it the same all around Australia. Lucky i was planning on buying one one day.
-
yes i think it will look good. I have the trial front bar on my 96 series 1.5. i have always thought of turning it into a series 2 front, but i love the N1 vents. Would like to see how it looks. you can get crabon or plastic ones or maybe fibreglass.

Hi. Just thought i might ask if anyone has purchased one the SAAS sports seats . interested in are the Kombat or more preferably the Mach 2. I prefer the mach 2 because i think this type of seat will give more support and better durability ( no recliner ). I am buying to use in motor sport for my r33 gts-t. They look good to and are well priced . Motorsport essential's will sell one for around $450 ( mach 2 ) + cost of rails to fit. This is much cheaper than bride , recaro, sparco. like the idea of the Kombat because it reclines however it may not give as good support. Anyway how do they stack up any thoughts . BTW sparco one starts at $600 is this much better. looked at drift from autobarn look okay
