And what are your impressions? Would you do the rears as well? Seems like a super price. Did it include both Calipers and Discs? Some photos would make your post so much better

I'll put my hand up too for those bars and links. -
For those aluminium parts, have you considered hydroblasting (hydrablasting) otherwise known as aqua blasting? Brings ally back up like new Examples: http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php?topic=11724.0 http://www.campbellclassicmotorcycles.com.au/motorcycle-hydrablasting.htm Wish I'd known about it when I was doing my Silvia all those years back.

M35 Head Unit - What Have You Got?
VSPEC32 replied to richzx's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Got them from a local Autopro store. Just find out who sells Aerpro gear near you and order in the same parts. No steering wheel controls yet as I'm still yet to fit up the Cruise Control unit (have had it for months - self fail). -

Not cheap IMHO, but it was simple plug and play. IIRC it was in the vicinity of $130. -

Recently replaced my single DIN factory unit with a Clarion CZ702A. Good sound, harnesses available direct plugin and steering wheel controls, and best thing is you can change the colour to match factory orange. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/416606-just-replaced-my-single-din-m35-stereo-head-unit-win/ -
Antz 1994 R32 Gtr Project & Restoration
VSPEC32 replied to Ants's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Ants, have you considered the German KW Suspension? http://www.kw-suspensions.eu/int/kw_variant_3.php Not sure on pricing, but plenty of top level motorsports teams use them, and have seen plenty used on the Hillclimb stuff too. Something that I'll be looking at when my current RG coilovers fail (which they're beginning to do) in my Silvia. -
Just Replaced My Single Din M35 Stereo Head Unit - Win!
VSPEC32 replied to VSPEC32's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Not really no. I was putting it off and putting it off, not wanting to stuff up the dash, but went without a hitch. Next up is to get the commsman cruise and steering wheel controls hooked up along with a factory reversing camera. -
Just Replaced My Single Din M35 Stereo Head Unit - Win!
VSPEC32 replied to VSPEC32's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
It was all plug and pray. I dislike cutting stuff up if it can be avoided. The expensive bit in this case was the Control A for Nissan harness as it integrates the SWC (Steering Wheel Controls) into the loom. A normal Nissan to ISO loom isn't that expensive. In the case of the single DIN and the gauges above, there's plenty of space behind the gauges to tuck the excess wiring. The gauge unit is only 40mm deep max. -
So yesterday I finally put in my new head unit that I bought a few months back. The head unit itself is a Clarion CZ702A, which itself reviewed very well by MEA (http://www.mobileele...02a_cd_tuner-1/) and I used all Aerpro harnesses etc to get it installed without fuss. I also got the harness in readiness for steering wheel controls. Essentially the harness gets you from Nissan to ISO format, then you go from ISO plugs to whatever your deck is. Aerpro Harnesses used as follows: - Clarion to ISO Harness 15 Pin (APP8CLA) - Clarion to ISO format - Clarion Adaptor Cable Suits Control Harness A (APCLAA) - Clarion SWC connection - Control A For Nissan 350Z 03, Navara 06, X-Trial Sport 01 (CHNI3A) - Main harness including steering wheel control component - Nissan D/Diversity Lead (AP348A) - For Antenna connection Another reason for choosing this specific deck was because the LCD display can be completely changed in colour, unlike many that tend to keep part of the display/front in their corporate colours. There's a preset colour for orange that is close, but the User colour setting allowed for more finite control of RGB values (in 8 steps). There might be better instructions around for the removal of the centre section of the console but I used a combination of photo instructions and YouTube video used for the Infiniti G35 (so assume its all the same for M35 Stagea and V35 Skyline): - http://www.sound-rep...l-instructions/ The Clarion headunit itself came with a mounting cage, and after scratching my head a bit on how to use this, I realised I didn't need it. Instead, after unscrewing the factory H/U, I slid the Clarion in and used the same holes and screws to mount it up. I was also hesitant as to whether this unit would be able to control tunes on the new iPhone 5, so I just went down and checked with the sync cable plugged into the USB connection (that was run over into the glove box for now) and all worked as expected. Win! All in all pretty happy with it as is the wife unit. Cheers Brendan

Intermittent Fault On M35 Factory Boost Gauge
VSPEC32 replied to VSPEC32's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I guess using a heatgun to 'reflow' the board may help at the same time? Similar to how you could resurrect a PS3 with a Yellow Light of Death by breaking it down and 'reflowing' the contacts on the mainboard. -

Intermittent Fault On M35 Factory Boost Gauge
VSPEC32 posted a topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Wondering if anyone else has experienced intermittent operation of the boost gauge that's in the three gauge cluster of an M35? There doesn't seem to be any particular occurrence that makes it work and then not work. I guess a good start could be the sender unit as the cluster itself just has a plug? If I was to check the sender unit for the the boost signal, where do I start looking. Cheers Brendan -

VSPEC32 replied to PetroDola's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Petro, sorry to drag up an old thread, would be good if you could post some of the final product stance pics on the end of this thread along with any additional details such as suspension and alignment settings. How was the tyre wear also? -
Mine are shagged too. Does Nissan FAST have these sort of details in it?
-
Hi Ozzyash, I'm over here in the less then wild west too. We recently brought one in - Silver with Black cow and aero. You certainly picked up a great deal.

Remind us what suspension you're running with this? Did you need to lip the guards to avoid rubbing? Wondering if this is a wife-approved combo.
