  1. I was part of the SilviaWA club at this years Western Salon and was quite surprised at the low level of organisation - especially when it came to floor layouts, space before the event. I know of a few people that were disappointed because their originally agreed position was taken without them knowing, and nothing was done to change it - ending up being tucked away in an area not really visible or well trafficed (bad for businesses). Oh, and the provision to entrants of floor plans that are to scale - a must in planning a stand, along with where power will be coming from and extra facilities that will be available. It's imperative for those entering the show that they're clear on where and how much room they'll have to setup their stand/s - lights, stands, barriers cars etc. We had to change the plans for our clubs stand a week or so before the event which meant changing plans for lighting and other equipment required. Another problem with the Salon was the choice of location. Now the Belmont Racecourse may be great (especially with the car parks etc outside), but it's extremely cramped (for the number of cars that were there) and was very difficult for the majority of entrants to get their cars in and out to the driving and dyno events. The roof height was OK where we were but in other areas it was rediculously low for that type of event. We were lucky to be located next to the rear entrance so all cars on the stand made it out to the Dyno and driving events. As for the ladies, other than what was organised by the major sponsor and a few of the entrants, it was pretty lame. And the so called 'bikini' comp was turned into a 'modelling' comp at the last moment because there wasn't enough entrants (asked to come forward from the crowd over the duration of the event). The location for the this little show was pretty terrible too with limited scope and height for everyone to see. At least some pre-arranged ladies would have sorted the problem out for lack of numbers. Anyway, thats my 2c. Cheers
  2. Thanks dude. Yeah, I know there's some differences in the coating and nomenclature used to describe them all - I think that HPC comes in a few of different varieties as well for different heat and 'high non-wettable oil shedding' coatings: http://www.hpcoatings.com.au/pages/auto.htm Let me us know how you go. Cheers Brendan
  3. GTSt VSPEC Would be very interested in the prices you got today for the ceramic coating. Looking at doing this at some point on exhaust and ic piping. May also look at redoing the rocker cover in a red crackle look (as per ferrari has). Not sure what colour the exhaust etc will be done yet, but was my understanding that you can keep the polished alloy look or choose as specific colour. Cheers Brendan
  4. Tracka Just wondering if you'd be interested in the possibility of breaking up the rear suspension. Primarily looking for the calipers, but would be interested in the diff as well. Rotors not so interested in. Will be going onto the rear of Silvia S13. Cheers Brendan
  5. Yep, that sounds fine too. Still to broach the subject with wife yet though. It would mean her having to stay home and look after the kids. And we're also planning (well I am at least) to go to the Bathurst 24hr in November. Gotta make sure all can be afforded. Cheers Brendan
  6. Cheers MR-GTR. Don't mind where I stay (have been known to sleep on someones doormat, but that was a very pissy night), as long as we get there. Would it also be an option to fly directly to JP rather than across to Brizzy first? Cheers Brendan
  7. MR-GTR All sounds good. I suspect that the cost is for flying out of Sydney (or some other major east coast city). What difference would there be flying from Perth? Do you have any other options for those located in WA. Cheers Brendan
  8. I'm selling my 'R and have created a web site for it with background (of the model), specifications and gallery of photos. You can view the site at: http://www.ipixel.com.au/vspec32 Briefly, the car is in excellent (almost original) condition which you'd be hard pressed to find one in similar condition. Cheers Brendan
