Even if someone can focus on lines 5 & 6 it would be appreciated: Cheers Brendan

OK, I managed to track some pics down off of Yahoo Japan of a BNR32 N1 brake master cylinder (BM50). Someone else did a screen grab from the Nissan FAST application of brake master cylinders with numbers starting with #46010. Just need someone here to do a translation on the last column of the marked lines from the screen grab: These photos relate to #46010-05U01 for RB26DETT.GT-R.17 N1 (which I think relates to the V-spec N1) which is number 5 on my list below. http://www.ipixel.com.au/temp/bnr32n1bmc/bnr32n1bmc1.jpg http://www.ipixel.com.au/temp/bnr32n1bmc/bnr32n1bmc2.jpg http://www.ipixel.com.au/temp/bnr32n1bmc/bnr32n1bmc3.jpg http://www.ipixel.com.au/temp/bnr32n1bmc/bmc-46010-range.gif TIA Brendan

Master Cylinder Question R32/33
VSPEC32 replied to Mack_1982's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Interesting, all the specs I've seen on the Japanese sites say that ABS was omitted from the N1 versions. Will keep it in mind, thanks. -
Master Cylinder Question R32/33
VSPEC32 replied to Mack_1982's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
OK, still trying to track down information on the brake master cylinder from an R32 GT-R N1 (BNR32 N1) - I did manage to find a Chassis number...would that help anyone in tracking it down? R32 GT-R V-SPEC N1 > KBNR32RBFS ZN R32 GT-R V-SPEC II N1 > KBNR32RBFS8 ZN Cheers Brendan -
Is there anyone in J at the moment who has access in some way to a genuine BNR32 N1, V-SPEC N1 or V-SPEC II N1. I'm desperately tyring to confirm how many ports were on the master cylinder fitted to this car as it didn't come with ABS so I assume it's a 3 port jobby. If you're able to take close up photos of any markings, and if it's a 3port and Nissan part number would be a bonus. Reason for asking here is it's likely there'd be more on the ground over there. Cheers Brendan

Master Cylinder Question R32/33
VSPEC32 replied to Mack_1982's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Has anyone got any solid information on this? -
Yeah, it's for sillbeer. Unfortunately the Z32 Brake Master Cylinder we got in from Nissan was for an ABS equipped car, so it only had the 2 ports on it. I of course need one for a non-ABS car. I was silly enough to think the US version of the Z32 BMC's were the same as the JP/AU versions - but of course as the US are LHD, their BMC's have the ports on the opposite to ours, and so far I'm yet to track down a Z32 BMC in RHD in 1 1/16" size with the 3 ports on it. So next possible option is the one from the R32 GT-R N1. If I can't find anything, I'll look at just using an R33 GTSt in non-ABS format. And yeah GODTHRILA, you're right on all accounts, but finding someone with an N1 in Perth will allow me to eyeball it firsthand. Cheers Brendan
-
Is there anyone in Perth that has an R32 GT-R N1 or R33 GT-R N1 (without ABS)? I'm looking for details on the brake master cylinder they use. Any contact or directions would be handy. Cheers Brendan

Master Cylinder Question R32/33
VSPEC32 replied to Mack_1982's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Just a thought, but according to most specifications around the web, the R32 GT-R N1 versions had the ABS removed to reduce weight, would that then point towards the possibility of them having a 3 port brake master cylinder in the larger BM57 size? Anyone? -
Master Cylinder Question R32/33
VSPEC32 replied to Mack_1982's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
discopotato03, I'd like to wade in on this discussion. I'm currently looking for a solution for my S13 Silvia I'm building that now has a set of R33 GT-R Brembo's fitted: Pics http://www.sillbeer.com/2007/01/and-now-wh...ew-hotness.html Now I also saw the article on the US site where they had used a Z32 300ZX Brembo brake upgrade and went for the 1 1/16" non-ABS BMC. Unfortunately like you I've realised they're only in LHD guise (UGH!!!!). So if anyone can help in identifying if Nissan (ie. Nabco/Tokico) make a 1 1/16" non-ABS BMC for RHD situations from a car with a similar weight distribution as a Skyline/Silvia, please speak up...otherwise a 1" might have to do. Part numbers would be very helpful too. Cheers Brendan -
My Restoration
VSPEC32 replied to Godzilla32's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Looks like the race is on Deren...just fitted up the wheels and tyres. Finally it's a roller (theoretically). http://www.sillbeer.com/ Cheers Brendan -
I have a set of RG JTC'N1 V Stage coilovers with both spring seat and mount height adjustability. http://www.sillbeer.com/2005/12/rg-goodness-arrives_14.html They should be fine then for my needs. Thanks for the help fella's. Cheers Brendan
-
Hmmm, I'm listening, but now you're both confusing me. I do intend to set the car up properly with the corner weighting, but the reason for moving the spring seat is clearance. Not sure if 10mm of difference in the pre-load would affect the handling as such, but more the corner weighting...is that basically what you're both trying to say? Cheers Brendan
-
Getting close to putting my car on the road and I need to move the spring landing on my coilovers to give me a little more clearance on the rim. This will obviously change the spring pre-load, but I'm not sure what that means. Anyone care to explain to me what the affects of more or less pre-load will mean. Cheers Brendan

Thanks Rezz. So the next time anyone's heading to Red Park - ask if you can take some really detailed pics and get some more details. Cheers Brendan
-
Hey guys Just wondering if there's any detailed information of photos floating around on the Nissan (R32) Skyline GTB-4. I believe there was only 1 (or a few) built - one now residing at Red Park, but finding good detailed pics (exterior & interior) and information on it is next to impossible. I came across a site that had pics of some form of book called GT-R Maniacs, but the pics a really small: http://www.skyline-racing-tech.com/link5_9.html If anyone knows where I can find info on this rare Skyline it would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Brendan

Cheers Masahiro, I would normally use Google Translator, but all the text on the Work site is embedded in images so translator's are a now go - doh! I'd love to strangle their web developer for doing such an idiotic thing! Interesting that both the US and NZ markets (official channels) only have two colours to choose from - Gun Metal and Gold in the Work Emotion CR Kai. I can only assume that means Matte Carbon and Matte Titanium (chitan). Thanks again Brendan
