  1. how ya going Trick, the car has been sold! sorry i didnt get back to you right away. i only sold it less than 24hrs ago. i tried to pm ya to let ya know but an error occured so i thought i'd let you know. Have had a few people check it out, financed wasn't approved for one poor bloke, i had 2 time wasters (non-genuine buyers) who wanted to test pilot my car... -$9,900- (rego just got paid last month!)   6. Yes it was indeed a turbo gasket leak (exh manifold gasket) so i got that changed along with the turbo to manifold gasket, dump pipe gasket and all brand new head studs to hold the exh manifold..

Additonal info that i forgot to mention- when i got the 3" turbo back exhaust, i went to Nissan spare parts and bought what i needed to change all the turbo gaskets including exh. manifold gasket, 16 brand new exh. manifold studs roughly around April-May 2008. my last service was at 114,xxx kms and i used Castrol Edge 0W-40 engine oil (not cheap either being 5LTRS costing me nearly $70), new oil filter, new fuel filter (bought them from Nissan spares), had my radiator flushed and topped up with top shelf coolant, changed my spark plugs and put in 6 NGK Iridium plugs (bought from Autobarn) When i purchased my car Oct '07, it has 119,xxx kms on the clock and the previous owner changed the timing belt at 92,000kms when he still owned it along with new alternator/air con belts. I only have to buy new coil packs if i wanna boost it above standard boost which its currently running at. my plans are to sell it so no point in my forking out $400 odd bucks for a set of Splitfire coil packs to run higher boost if i have no plans to go further with it modifcation wise.. any questions, please call me on 0431 376 079 ask for David.   11. My car is still for sale! C'mon guys, someone out there has to be looking for an R33 with similar details/mods to mine... Urgent sale! RACV inspections welcome... if your a mechanic yourself or know one and has doubts about my car, a motor compression test is welcome along with other tests such as putting my car up on a hoist and check out the undercarriage for any faults etc. i know my own car and very confident, as u can see in my pics, car is clean as and mechanically its A1-starts beautifully, idles nice and quiet, has been dynoed and have dyno sheets to prove. Car is currently in my garage with a car cover over it as my licence suspension expires in April.. having said that, every few days, ill take the cover off, give it a once over, start it and let it idle for a while and then back to sleep she goes so to speak. Unfortunately its now time to sell my pride and joy due to various reasons-e.g house committments, license suspended for 6months (exceeded 12 demerit points... also wanting to start new project (Would consider swap for a black JDM S15 Silvia with cash adjustments on top to the other party) As the topic states, its a '96 model S2 R33 gts-t Manual Coupe 129***kms silver in colour type-m front lip, side skirts and GTR spoiler Internally standard motor running standard boost 18" rims (ANZ brand, thin 5 spokes silver in color) brand new tyres all round! Lowered (compressed) springs/short type shock absorbers. Front mount cooler with polished piping Biltz BOV Turbo back 3" exhaust (one piece front pipe) which leads to a hi flowing metal cat, one resonator thru to a 5" cannon muffler (Cat back is custom made mandrel bend 3", minimal bends, free flowing with a nice deep purring note) GReddy turbo timer Pioneer head unit, two 12" Cadence Subs boxed in boot, Cadence 4 channel amp Rear stabliser bar Dual airbags ABS Power steering Air-con/heater Electric windows&mirrors I had it dyno tuned by Simon from PROMAZ and reeled off 176rwkw on 7pounds! Still have dyno sheet and invoice. When i had her on the dyno, boost was limited as my factory Coil packs were playing up on that day. Was told once i replace the coil packs and turn the wick up to 12psi, he said 195-200rwkw easy. Keep in mind stock ecu, stock everything apart from bolt ons. Comes with all spares such as all four 16" stock gts-t sized wheels, stock exhaust, airbox, bov, boost gauge&controller (not fitted, still in box) and LOTS more! pls email me at [email protected] for pics.   19. today i removed the boost guage and had it to how things were b4 it started to make that noise. After having done all that, it still makes that sound. the sound comes from the turbo region and sounds as though as little pebbles are flying around under the heat shield. Very hard noise to describe. It just sounds like an exhaust leak. Its doing my head in. Any other suggestions pls peoples?? When i pull/hold the throttle cable at low rpm, thats when u can really hear it, also the noise extends down the front pipe. 1st i thought a piece of the turbine wheel had fallen off and lodged in between the front pipe and cat but under full throttle on the road, it goes fine plus this annoying ass noise. Idle is perfect, not blowing smoke... what could it be? Any help would much be appreciated.
  20. no, not so much hissing, its on the left if ur in the car facing it but outside looking at bay, sound is coming from the right where the turbo/exh manifold is and a bit lower down where the dump pipe is. its more noticeable when driving it. The guage hose is on the left where the inlet manifold/fuel filter side is. come to think of it, it slight hisses on that side but it always does it if that helps? im stressin a bit cos i know if had've waited to get the 3" dumphi flow cat fitted then dynoed, i know this would not have occured. a bit of the noise came from the head as well. perhaps the cam? its the exh side cam (obviously) ah wel, 2moro ill just disconnect the guage, have it back to b4 and sees if theres a change. I doubt it. Any other suggestions may help? Cheers r33cruiser
  21. hiya fellas, Iv just recently purchased a '96 Series 2 R33 GTS-T. it came with 18's, lowered, stereo, front mount, Blitz pod filter, 3.5" cat back Tanabe "jasma" exhaust. Anyway ive had it for exactly 2months now. shes running stock boost etc. i purchased a boost guage and a NON electronic boost controller. I was told to wait to get them both fitted when i get it dynoed after the new year and after i get a 3" full dump/font pipe/high flow cat. I just had to muck around with things and get all figidy (use to own a VLCT that i used to do my own work to). Anyway the problem developed after i installed the boost guage. The readings are fine. On idle it sits -19 Vacuum and on boost it hits 7psi (no spiking). Now when i started cruising around the block slowly, i could hear the left hand side of the motor wasnt sounding right so i pulled over and i knelt down on the left side of my car at the front where the front pipe is and it sounds like an exhaust leak or perhaps an exhaust manifold gasket leak as those sounds are very distingiushable. i am totally baffled. Unless its a huge coicidence which i doubt, how could fitting a simple boost gauge cause this? Even with the bonnet up if i give it a few soft revs, u can totally hear somethings not right. Power wise, it feels pretty much the same. the noise comes from the left where the turbs is and im confused and in need of opinions/advice or knowledge from someone who may have had this same problem. any help would be much appreciated. cheers
