I cant help you with that... sorry. My advice tune the watt settings on the amp to the number of watts of ur deck, i think they only go up to 4. but i could be wrong. that will give you a smooth sound coming from the sub which isnt too loud or soft compared to the rest of ur set up. You brought some quality subs there so y not speak to the people who sold them to u? (assuming you brought them from a shop) the other settings i really dont have an idea about tho sorry.

fellas lets just get back onto the topic. you two are never going to see eye to eye on this so y waste each others time? no phil u never came right out and said that other brands such as alpine n pioneer are crap but i must agree with red, sometimes you do gifve off the impression that that is exactly what you want to say. but then who can blame you? you are a salesman and apparently your company holds the record for the loudness of your product. to me it sounds like people with small dicks should buy it because when i listen to my system, i like a good level of noise but i much prefer quality sound, some times loud is just loud, not necessarily better. Red i appreciate the fact that your mate may have blown dd amps and what not, but did u ever stop to think y he has them? were they installed right? was the set up correct with the rms, watts n ohms and all that jazz? or simply was he just unlucky? in the past ive had a few dud cameras all well known brands, but they were just dunds it does happen. but in saying that i understand the frustration behind ur mate, so if he is unhappy with the product then cool he doesnt like it at the end of the day its personal taste isnt it? my last system wasnt the loudest around, far from it, i only spent $900 on it but hey id line it up against any $5000 system and say the quality of my system is just as good as anyone elses, that brand was Kenwood and heaps of people bag them out but to me they make a quality product.... (just #### subs) Lets just leave this arguement alone, because at the end of the day neither of u are going to get the better of the other, and the average size of penises are 7inches long so be proud of what you have

so whats the prob? ur happy with the sound of ur system, the quality and the noise level when ur inside the car but outside its not loud enough or the car rattles n shit? Seriously if its because u want loud noise outside the car i wouldnt bother, just makes it more of a target for theft. but let me know, ill try n help u out

wouldnt a sub n amp be cheaper? or didnt u want to loose ur boot? a decent pair of 6x9s would have had enough base if u didnt want subs.

doesnt the other parcel shelf slope down towards the window? or is it all flush to begin with?i thought it all tucked in nice and flush how did u get round that?

what does dd stand for? i dun even know. never heard of option audio either so i dun know anythin bout em. i might try n stick with brands i know like kenwood or alpine or pioneer and so forth.

i havent even had my skyline for 3months and ive been pulled over 6times by the popos. mine is completly stock and they have gotten under the hood and made me rev my stock exahust. im pretty sure exahust, filter and extractors are all legal, not sure about the rest, but what cant be seen cant be tested. they wont pull ur motor to find out if anything is suss. keep it nice n quit n clean and u will be fine. or save ur money n buy a turbo when ur off ur p's n start modding it then.

i was thinking of spending around 5grand on the system. nothing too flash but decent enough and was hoping for a decent install and boot install. one question with boot installs i hear that some make the sound alot louder and better is this true? also is it tru that with boot installs u can only listen to rnb and other such genres of music? just something i heard dont know if its true or not.

Hey Guys, I did a search for boot leaks and so on but nothing turned up. I just wanted to know the easiest way to fix one? as i said the leak is in the left light and seeps through into the boot. Its a R33 and is under warranty from the dealer and he has had one go at fixing it, with no luck. Has anyone else had similar problems? did you just do trial and error or is there a special trick to it? Cheers

Im no expert when it comes to audio, but i know a little. My last system was fairly cheap, under a grand id say - All Kenwood too, and i thought that for how much it cost it went alright, was pleanty loud enough, but not loud enough to draw attention and sound quality was pretty good. The only thing that let it down was the sub and amp, i needed a different brand sub and a bigger amp, then it would have gone alright. If your short for cash have a look at Kenwood, their stuff isnt too bad and really easy to use. From what ive heard kicker subs are meant to be really good for the price you pay for them. Also if you are strapped for cash look for a brand that deals in Highs, Mediums and Lows, compared to brands like pioneer which only deel with highs (from what i heard). Dont rush into buying a system, read up about it, Hot 4s mag usually do a pretty decent write up on audio gear each month, which is usually pretty honest, so if u have the time learn n then shop. My 2cents

I got the m80 and it isnt a bad alarm, but can be a pain in the arse when u want to lock the car n the killswitch and shit are all connected and on a timer so when u think u lock it u actually mobalise it, but i think after a while it locks its self. thing i like about it is the lifters cause i always leave my window down, however im sure u can get lifters with any alarm.

i want the 10sec for one purpose, as wanky as it is, id just like to say that i have a 10second car. Id like the car to be respectable and eventually perhaps even show worthy. Im not much of a rev head on the streets anyway, because seriously whats the point? loose my licence and my car? get a huge fine? just stupid in my opinion so i dont need the power for the street. been thinking about this for awhile, and probably is a bit too expensive to make the N/A exactly what i want, which is a shame cause it is a top car. i was thinking better the devil you know, type thing rather then gettin a gtst or gtr which chances r has been thrashed when i got one which is in pretty good nic. Perhaps the better option would be to try and get a healthy amount of hp and kw at the wheels. Probably better for my frame of mind anyway seems how i dont really go to the 1/4 all the time Thanks for the feed back guys was really good.

Is 10sec really that hard to get? i thought it was pretty standard now days? i just want the car to have the power and looks. an all round package f you know what i mean

Obviously a bit of a different question. People will have mixed opinions about whether or not its worth the trouble/cost. No i cant afford a 10sec car now, but in a couple of years i may be able too. I still have a while untill my loan is paid off and am off my P's next year. Alls i wanted to know is if people have done it or not really. Eug, thanks for the feed back. Yes i have posted a few threads round here, but i have also read a few of the topics around the forum to get a bit of an idea. I read the sticky one about turbo conversion but dont know if i believe a full conversion would only cost 3grand. I thought a minimum would be 7grand for a decent conversion, accounting for the variouse problems that would arise. Add to the fact that i want a 10sec car i thought probably a total of 15grand. To those people out there putting shit on me for asking the question, obviously the build wouldnt happen over night. I guess i want to know if im close to being on target with my price? cheers

Ok Guys Id like to build a 10second car in the future. Problem is im a P-plater and i cant afford a second car. I brought a completly stock R33 s2 and was wondering if people have transformed their non turbo's into 10second cars? Also what is involved apart from turbo conversion? is a full motor transplant the way to go or are ther other options? Am off my p's next year, will either start the conversion then or the year after, depending on the price. Cheers
