Make:Nissan Model:R33 GTST Skyline Milage:160 xxx Transmission:5 Speed Manual Colour:Black Location:Brisbane Complied?Yes RWC supplied?Yes Currently registered?Yes till 5/08 Price:$13,000 ono Contact:PM Comments / Modifications: I got the car early this year, complete stocko since then ive added, Greddy FMIC Apexi SITC Apexi Turbo Timer Apexi SAFC-2 HKS Electronic Boost Controller K&N Pod Filter 3 Inch turbo back exhaust with split dump Full Alpine Stereo system worth $2300 The interior is in very good nick, the air con is ice cold. I want to get an R32/R33 GTR so this has to go for that to happen. The car runs well, Recently had all of the gaskets and seals replaced, Compression tested at 150psi+ per cylinder. Uses no oil, Economical for an rb25 as well getting 550kms a tank with sensible driving nearly 600 on the highway. No funny noises, no rattles or knocks. Handles well. Only issue is the paint has a few scratches in it, nothing that cant be fixed. Was dyno'd at 193kw at the rears at 13psi, As a daily it sees 9psi most times, The HKS EVC 5 is set to 9 and 13psi.     My lights are aimed correctly, But See low beam only can travel so far, What i want to do is this.. HID Ballasts dont like being turned off and on again right? So i wanted to rig it so when i hit the high beams, Low beams stayed on. Get what i mean now? My Second question was, WILL HID lights as high beams be much better then the halogen bulbs, Only issue is they will be turned on and off alot more then the low beams.

    Ian my bulbs are H1 i think yours is H3??? Not sure but your kind of HID bulb supports low and highbeam or its 2 bulbs together.. Cant remember but it shouldnt be a problem.

    Im not very confident on cutting and splicing wires from a guide if i had someone to show me then id be fine. But yeah id like ur help if you dont mind. Id gladly give u something on the side for it as well.

    What im saying is no i dont want to be driving around all the time with high and low beam going. But when i switch high beam on i dont want low beam to go out is what i mean. But my original question was will HID globes in my highbeam slots be as much of an upgrade as HID globes in my low beam slots.
  8. Auto Barn sells some products you can use, Go and ask them. Depending on how bad its fogged you can get 2 different items. One is a spray that you spray on the light cover (its like a plastic polish) and u rub it clean just repeat and it works well. Second is a kit comprising of some wet and dry and a liquid polish. You use the wet and dry from roughest to smoothest and give it a really really good going over untill its completely smooth. Then use the liquid polish on it with a rag., I brought both of the items and used them together made my lights good as new.
  9. Hi guys im looking at 2 cars at the moment a R32 GTR and a 180SX. I would like to bring one into australia. Ive been looking on yahoo japan auctions, http://page8.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/h53022792 is the 180sx i was looking at and http://page16.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/u20016593 is the GTR, Is it possible to purchase these vechiles and get them imported? What do i need to do/know? Any advice would be great.

    I currently have HID bulbs as my low beam. Should i get a 2nd Set to install in the highbeam globe spot, Low beam has made a big difference. Also I know you can rig it so both lights, low and high beam, are on when you are using high beam. Would this make a huge difference? Is there anyone that has done this? Im thinking to go with a 2nd set for my highbeams what do you all think?

  14. The oil you have right now is fine.
  15. There are a few things you should check, 1: AAC valve, this controls your idle when the throttle body is closed its location is on the back drivers side of the engine "Blue and Brown" plugs, i see you have an r33 so this is where u will find it. Take it off the car and clean it with carby cleaner. Do a proper job and get all of the baked in shit off. 2: Your Throttle body is full of crap, also clean that with carby cleaner. 3: Once you have done these, Disconnect your battery (If u have a stock ecu) and stand on the brake for about 1 minute reconnect the battery and go for a thrash and i mean a thrash, dont baby it or the ecu will learn a dodgy map. Your idle should return to normal. If not let me know. One other thing, Your TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) might be rooted, Hence the wont rev over 2k rpm. Its happend to people before.
