I just discovered that i think the dashboard lights short circuited, is there a way to fix this ? or should i just take it to the mechanic?

anyone got any advice ?

Hey thanks for the help but i tried re-attaching each of the 3 red wires to the switch but it doesnt really 'connet' anywhere as it was held on by tape and when i just put the two metal pieces together and turned the switch the dash board light still didnt work. I was wondering if i needed to get a new switch or properly attach it somehow

Hey i've done a search but nothing really specifically helps my problem so i thought i'd ask ! Just today my dashboard lights all stopped working (speedo, petrol etc etc) and when i found out that the switch attached to the black wire that breaks off into 3 red whiles fell off. Is there a way i can fix this ? this is a picture of the switch. Also, i found that when i accellerate from low gears and low RPM i find that there isnt much power. I've also noticed that my clutch is wearing out. Do you think a new clutch would fix this ? thanks for the help guys !

hey i wasn't sure which part of the exhaust you were talking about so i figured the easiest way was to take a few pictures of mine. Do you think i need a upgrade with this exhaust? Also another question regarding the computer. Do i need to get it tuned or whatever everytime i get a upgrade? so if i do upgrade the exhaust would i need to get it tuned again ? if not when do i need to get these things done as im not quiet sure ! thanks alot for the help !

I have a pretty stock r33 with a intercooler, blow of valve and a air filter which all other parts being stock i think and recently took my car for a service/tune. Sorry if i sound stupid in advance i dont know much about cars and i tried using the search function. The guy said fuel pump was broken and replaced it but i was wondering how the fuel pump would brake so i can avoid making the same mistake? Also i got it on the dyno and got 188kw running at 11.5 pounds of boost. Is that normal ? I've also been wanting to start working my car up but am a bit lost with where to start. Is there a general guide on these forums to help me get started or educate with the basics of what i need to know ? Also, if i want to start working on my car where should i start and what are quick things i can do that arent too expensive to increase performance ? thanks in advance !

Hey i tried doing some searches but couldnt find anything so i apologize in advance if theres already a topic on this. Recently i have no idea how, but the off button for my airconditioner in my r33 gtst 1995 has been jammed and i cannot turn off the airconditioner. Is there a easy solution to this or should i take it to a mechanic? Also just a sidenote i'm not all that good with cars but any help will be useful thanks alot in advance

i just recently installed a greddy type rs blow off valve and the sound was a bit funny, i was just wondering how to adjust the sound. I also read somewhere on the forums a blow off valve will damage the car if its not tuned, my car was recently defected so is pretty stock. Will this damage my car? what can i do? and how would i 'tune' it? When i first purchased the car, there was a apexi avc-r boost controller sitting in there. I didnt have the money back in the time but recently i decided to get it installed. When i took it to the mechanic the mechanic told me there was pieces missing. Inside the box was only the computer screen with nothing else. I'm from adelaide and i was wondering where i can purchase the other parts to it. Thanks alot

well a while ago when my car was running weirdly i took it to a mecahnic and got told it had a cracked piston because of the sound it was making kinda like a stuttering sound.. replaced the engime Now my car may seem to be making that same sound but im not 100% sure is there a way to test or check if tehres anything wrong with the pistons/cyclinders?

well recently when i start my car it makes a little screech right at the end of the start up and if i dont rev it, it sounds like its going to die out. Took it to the mechanic and he says its just the start up motor with no other issues. Said it doesnt need repairing and shud be okay.. is that normal?

no smoke.. i've been looking out for it and havnt noticed any smoke

lol thanks.. i usually dont thrash my car. I am a pretty inexperienced driver so i usually just drive safetly.. copped alotta fines etc etc in the past but just thought once in a while wudnt hurt.. and it did just tested my car again today and on the start up it made a weird screeching sound. the car itself cost 18.5g but just the repairs/defect ive had done to it is probaly 7 -8g+ now anyone know what cud be wrong? is it serious?

well yesturday i was dragging my friend at a traffic light and i think i started off really really badly, rev'd to heaps high rode the clutch got alotta wheelspin and didnt get anywehre then my car smelt really bad made weird noises. So i took it home and realised the turbo isn't kicking in anymore. was testing it and it felt no extra power come in till 7-8 revs? can anyone help?

well i just bought a r33 gtst and im pretty clueless about cars, anyone got any tips on keeping it healthy in terms of driving, or any maintenance any help will be good, thanks

well.. lately when i flatten it, usually in first gear, sometimes it dies out and jerks and the revs don't go up. it doesnt happen all the time just occassionaly. My friend said it may be cause fuel is low but it never use to happen even with low fuel. i was wondering what the problem could be?
