  1. Yea, Well the price is very good, only done 27000 k's and 2004 model, could eat off the carpet!, They said theyd sell it to me for 15k, worth 23k private, so yea, pretty good deal, way to good to pass up, Sports car is for over 20, at my age its not feasible esp with fuel, possible but not practical..
  2. HI all, Bit of a dilema, Ive been looking at a s15 which are new decent on fuel and not to bad on insruance, only being about 20. However now my parents want to sell me their mazda 6 2004 model for a very very good price, common senese says buy the mazda 6 wait a few years then get into the sports coupe. However ive also considered the fact petrol will only go up, so im thinking live it up now, step it down after uni ect.. Any ideas thoughts, and whether a r32 GTR is too long in the tooth and unreliable due to age ect and s15 would be better ect Thanks
  3. Hi, Just wondering how many k;s you get to a tank around town? Thanks
  4. ok so the stock 265nm for a r33 gtst series two would probably only go up to around 300 - 350nm if you did an exhaust and intake ? Autobarn have a mod list and they say 160rwkw if you do cat back with BOV and somthing else, fuel pump i think... just want to know what mods youd need to get around the 350- 400nm of torque mark, id assume then a full exhaust and intercooler could give you even more..
  5. Hi all, I was wondering how much torque NM your r33's have please list mods, Im just interest in how much a r33 with 160rwkw will have and how much one with 200 rwkw will have, usualy mods used to get to these power levels is assumed. Ive heard 600nm from a 200rwkw engine is about right? Any tips suggestions would be great, and if youve been in a v8 compare the torque curve to that of a r33, the incar experience not tech, Thanks
  6. Yea thanks for the info, I have a rb30 at the momment, very reliable and ive seen them running with over 500,000 kms, if its anything to go by the rb25 should be just as reliable if not better, but yea maintenance is the key to longetivity.
  7. Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has had a stock r33 s2 gtst fail or stop working due to wear and tear or general age? Also mods id consider on stock would be limited to cat back and air filter, no boosting.. Im justing wondering cos i dont want to get a clean s2 then have it fail all of a sudden etc thanks heaps
  8. Yea have any pictures? any left? Thanks
  9. Hi all, I was wondering with these soo called bolt on cat back systems, is there any welding needed to secure the system? and by experience what would it cost for a exhaust shop to remove and fix up a system you bring in? Thanks alot Ben
  10. Hi all, Does anyone know if you can get factory gear knobs for the r33 new off nissan ? or is aftermarket the only choice? Ive just noticed basically none of the aftermarket knobs look and good or line up with the gear boots... Thanks in advance
  11. Thanks for the help guys, and on the topic off BOV's are there any brands you can just put on without stuffing up your tune? like just a straight swap SSQV or HKS recirculating type? Or is it just best to stay with stock BOV and get a POD filter and put it in an encolsure, i hear this gives off some good results aswell,.
  12. Thanks for the reply mate, Yea ive been looking at stock and modded r33's only thing that makes me go for a stock one is the fact i no what has been done to it and im not getting somthing that has been flogged by some kid. Although i have seen enthusiast cars around with sensible mods, not boosted, a car like that would pull me away from a stock one. Thanks
  13. Hi all, Im going to get a s2 r33 towards the end of this year. First questions stock import or mild modded one in oz? Now heres the tricky bit, what parts do you guys recommend changing to make the car bullet proof engine and turbo wise. I dont want huge power, no more than 200rwkw, and i only really want to do a cat back exhaust, Pod, BOV, and computer. Now, as far as turbos go, what is a good replacement for a stock one which can just be bolted on and will easily keep pushing 8 - 10psi boost all day everyday. Id prefer to get this done before i start driving the car everyday, so yea, any recommendations on aftermarket turbos that can bolt straight onto a stock r33 with mods above? and any other hints on how to get trouble free driving without worrying about stock parts like turbo breaking down.. Thanks
  14. Hi mate, nice car, i was wondering how it goes on fuel around town ? and what is the suspension stock? or aftermarket. and any idea when brakes and susp was last replaced ?
  15. Hi all im looking at getting a r33 down the track, still saving etc. I was wondering what usually needs replacing with a car having 60- 90k's on it, like bushes O2 sensor brake pads, shocks, etc, or are these things usually in good order due to japanese servicing etc. Also when getting a newly imported stock car, will i need to get a piggy back pc etc, to make sure i can run 98 octane or will i still need to mix fuels? Thanks alot any other tips on what to do look for, and what usually needs the once over with a second hand stock r33 gtst would be great,
