I seem to have read another post somewhere about a guy in sweden or around there somewhere , had his own dyno and got low 11~s or high 10s at the drags . pretty Vague i know maybe someone else read it too?Seems he just kept on increasing the boost until it blew, i think the 9000rpm was the killer.

You know that with this anal government things aren`t getting any better. My son the other day hit three pot holes coming out of cockatoo in Melbourne , Smashed the rim stuffed the tire,blew out the top of the strut,ripped the strut tower from the fire wall and nearly killed him and my granddaughter, $6800 damage , lucky he works for Sheens panel works because they are doing all the legal work to recover the money from Vicroads and they tell me if you keep on pestering them they will pay(only say so at this point).If there is a hole and it is not sign posted they have a duty of care.

the only real test is a consult test , but as previous member said ,if its original and done more than 40K it needs replacing,

I had the same problem, replaced the muffler , didn`t know about the valve

I use the loop wire hanging out of the loom at the rear of the rocker cover,I don`t disconnect anything and also set the timing at 15 degrees, works fine for me, depends on what type of timing light that you have, what fuel are you using, what boost , all variables that can effect timing/performance etc

sounds like a boost issue somewhere

well bugger me dead , the thing works and the screen does change , the only reason i didn`t check it was due to the stacker, next problem got to figure out how to get the audio working , any clues?

when i changed the stereo i had all the dash out as normal and because the wiring loom was disconnected the screen was dead , being a sparky and an inquisitive person i remembered that there was a wire that disapeared into the dash that i disconnected on the install, maybe somewhere in the loom a fault exists that isolates the screen. I haven`t tried a CD in the sat nav drive but i will try and let you know , on the english conversion , nobody seems to know or it is too hard but I still have a contact at the RMIT and he will have a go at the conversion, my son Adam apparently spoke to someone in Worri Yallock who change the Xanavi head unit and now has a spare but i have yet to see it. Hope this helps

your right Dale ,horsepower doesn`t mean diderly shit, all comes down to the tension on the belt, pulley condition , tentioner alignment and age of the belt. I bought a couple of Japanese belts of Ebay,good quality and reasonably priced, cant see any reason to change the water pump because it was perfect. Guess it depends if you do your own work or pay someone to rip you off. did the whole job in under 2 hours, amazing how quiet it is now though. one thing to remember , not all belts have the same profile,hence the whyne? which means incorect fit and probable failure.

Mine has the same unit(for the prime edition stagea) i bought one of ebay and lent it to Kamikazi motors but they ripped me off and i lost it , the reason i asked is that a mate of mine works at RMIT and an engineer workmate of his , said that he may be able to convert it to english like i have wanted to do for three years now, could be an option.do you know of another in melbourne , by the way i have the CD

if it is the one behind the screen that you are talking about , it`s just for the sat nav, did you get another unit or use the existing one

11.30 / 12.00 sounds good to me ,area no 2 as mentioned is approx 800 meters through Yarra Junction on your left (it is the old highway before the realignment ) and yes most of the route follows the river and winds up through the hills to the Dam, bitumen road is good as we traversed it in the opposite direction the last cruise
