  1. Hi all, I was remounting my boost gauge as it feel off. All done and when i turned on the light to test... no light. I did not touch any wiring except i was twisting and touching the gauge to the right way up. I followed the wire, one was grounded and the other went through the fire wall to the driver hand side lights... yesterday the driverside parker blew when i was installing the new passenger side headlight bulb. Theories?? Tomorrow Ill hit everything with a multimeter. If i need to replace the blub... where do i go to find one?
  2. Tried adjust my headlights, they need to go down and inwards. But when I turn the Bolts the lights don't move? Is it broke? Did I shred the bolts? Can I adjust another way??

  4. Think I might get an organic heavy duty and get a clutch specialist to install and machine flywheel. The flywheel i had installed was a proper lightweight flywheel. not stock with holes in it
  5. Hi all, After cleaning the AAC and replacing spark plugs and spray silicone my coil packs my motor seems to run good now. BUT I now notice that my clutch is slipping. This is my second clutch within 70,000ks. First clutch went shortly after I bought the car and I replaced it with a extreme heavy duty (pretty sure its a button). It shutters pretty much all the time when normal driving and its not much fun at all. I also got them to put in a lightened flywheel. Should I take it to a clutch place and say, hey my clutch is slipping fix it? just in case its something else they might fix it without replacing clutch or they might find its flywheel? Or should I buy the parts like I did last time and tell them to install? Should I go to a clutch specialist or a mechanics that deal with performance cars? Also what clutch do I want? A heavy duty ORGANIC clutch? Please supply me with some links to good sites that you have bought from and parts still work etc. I'm VIC based. Thanks for the help YALL!!
  6. I replaced my clutch with a heavy duty button clutch. NOT fun to drive everyday and it lasted at least 40k but same problem is happening to me right now. So I'll have to take mine in and I'm planning on getting a standard clutch

Unfortunately I only read the first page and did the whole thing by opening up separate pics ah well I did this DIY tonight and bought the gasket just in case. Didn't end up needing it but ah well. Idling is a lot better!! not perfect but just as good as when I first got it some 6 years ago. My troubles which is always the same when I work on cars is hoses! and anything to do with getting my hands in tight places or tools in tight places. But now im starting to think its a clutch issue. Because its acting like when my last clutch went. Now I have to decide whether its cluth or fuel now....

  12. I'm thinking this may be the case. What should I replace it with? With possible upgrades in the distant future. Or where can I pick up a second hand or cheap stock one? Also do I just need a pump its self or are other items needed ?   13. I have forgotten all the terminology and names for things since it has been years since I was into cars. But mine has a manual boost thingy that gives it 10 psi all the time. As stock i think has 5psi then opens to 7psi ? Do you suggest to plug it into the stock solinoid..?

  15. Hi everyone Car is R33 gts-t S2 Issue I am getting could almost be explained like having a slipping clutch. Put the foot down and the motor will rev and suck a lot of air but it goes no where. It will get a power kick for a second then nothing then kick in then nothing. It also seems to vary depending fuel in the tank. Generally less fuel means the problem is bigger and happens more. I have tried with no success - New fuel filter - Octane boost \ engine cleaner stuff - Check coil packs for cracks - I think i have replaced the spark plugs Another issue I have would be the battery doesnt seem to hold charge for long. For example I didnt drive it for a week and the battery was flat. (I have no alarm) My blinker blinks fast but all lights work. If listened to the radio for an hour I believe the battery would already be flat. (only 2 standard back shelf speakers) - I have gone through 2 batteries already Thanks for the help all

  18. mods will mostly just be visual. basic like rims and lowering... thats about it. the idea is to be a sporty daily. and exhaust and fmic and no i didnt know there gearboxes were crap... ive heard there expensive though
  19. Hi There People! Ive had my line coming up three years now. And not that im falling out of love of it. Im thinking of the wrx because i love the sound and i want a 4 door but dont want to get a family car. and also would like the AWD. my line is 96 r33 series 2 m-spec with 140k on the clock... and im looking at selling that and getting a 2000 or less model wrx... What should I do? I know this is skyline forum but im hoping for people in similar situations rather then pure skyline lovers.

  21. Also whats everyones opinions of how many K's become too high...? and you dont have to say there is no too high K's if you look after it. Im just guessing i want to look below 30,000 k's?
  22. Hello there, Finally booked my license in and am now looking for bikes to purchase! Most first bike buyers ask, should i get a cbr250rr or a zx2r? But I am asking more should I get a zx2r, cbr250rr or something more commuter like zzr or gpx or gs. The reason i ask is because of the pros and cons. sports bike Pros Looks "cool" performance (i wouldnt know because i havent tried) Cons Higher cost then commuter generally higher k's for $buck$ older model for price cost more Commuter Pros Almost looks as cool as the sports bike lower K's newer model cheaper Cons Not as hardcore looking as the sports bike performance (once again, i wouldnt know) Is saying all this, as from what ive read. i would get over this bike in a year etc and sell it... the commuter would proberly in better condition for selling. I must mention i have no idea, im just going off what i think and what ive read around. When i first got my line i used to give it a bit of gas for the rush but now i never do... im happy to just granny around... im guessing that will also be the same for the bike... i will get it some gas then get over it and granny it around. which in the end the commuter would be better. I should mention what i would use it for. I would take it to work when its good conditions and i dont have to take anything (only 15min drive). i guess at least twice a week. and for weekends if not raining would be my primary transport. Hopefully i explained myself well, and look forward to your opinions!
