  1. 1st suggested mod is to change the (very heavy) std midpipe to a titanium one. This will increase the exhaust volume and free up some extra HP. The warranty situation with this mod should be ok. Some cars (mine included) have thrown codes with just this alone tho.
  2. Catback should not, but intake will. Those 2 mods together will likely throw codes too, with a std ecu.
  3. Can you post a pic with it off the car, and without the bits that are not in the price please.
  4. Def wrong forum for this.
  5. Try checking at GTR life forum, the US guys will have seen that code.
  6. Spot on. Well said.
  7. Yes, it is and in the owners manual too.
  8. Even at $100 for 5lt, Oil is cheap. Don't skimp, just use what Nissan reccomend. Why take a risk with other oil?
  9. Mine has been a week end only car for the last 6 months and no dramas re battery. Maybe you just need a new battery??
  10. Agreed. I have new rears, old fronts - no dramas.
  11. Yeah, it's quite amusing. + 1 lock thread.
  12. Lightweight fun - not the car being lightweight LOL
  13. WA? I'n near Bayswater WA
  14. Welcome. Sometimes its a little quiet around here... Where are you located?
  15. Yeah, know what ur on about. Especially after moving to WA after SA - the roads in the Adelaide hills are sublime compared to Perth hills. Actually thinking about a SS commy for lightweight fun soon too. Def keep the R tho!
  16. Speak to - 1 Aus government re Luxury car tax, import duties GST etc etc 2 Nissan Aus - low volumes, high infrastructure setup costs due to the low volumes sold. Its not simply GTR s that are expensive relative to the USA, it is all cars sold here. And the higher the initial cost the higher all the taxes will be. Just look at the price of a commodore sold in the states. Aus wages are also much higher relative to the US so affordabilitry is mch better too.
  17. I would be suprised if they allow that. If it is serious enough to warrant a safety recall, nissan will want their dealer to do it. Got mine this week also.
  18. Hey Docc, you can put any Cobb tranny map in yeah? Your car is a 2010 right?

  22. Thats a very messy boot there! + Dont lock the keys in it.

  24. Let me clarify here. I have a midpipe. I also had a titanium exhaust from the midpipe back. I sold the titanium midpipe back section as it was simply too loud and droned. With or without either section it sounds crap in my opinion. The note (with any combination) is not pleasant to the ear. I am not alone in this opinion, but everyone's opinion is valid.
