i had i look at a mates timing belt on his skyline (took the top timing belt cover off).. his belt was tighter then mine his dont make a noise but mine does so im hoping my noise will go away soon like you bumble bee as my belt has much more play yet makes a noise strange so i guesss in other post when i said your belt was to tight like mine i was wrong

hello people.. my r33 gtst over the last few weeks started to idle a bit high, it would come and go so i didnt bother me too much. Today my idle has decided that it wants to stay over 1100rpm and not come down i have searched and in most cases its at acc valve is this my problem?? i have also read you can just block it off or just clean it what should i do?? also is there any other sensor that has failed that will could cause my car to idle how it is??

mine is same as yours only makes the noise on idle when the car is hot. cold start it is fine

gates nissan what ever the brand it should make any noise at all bumble bee your belt is too tight like mine

i would say you timing belt is to tight like mine. im using a gates belt, alot of people say it is normal for a gates belt to make a noise. i have been told that is wrong and belt is to tight which can cause tensionr bolt to break then your motor is stuffed i have read someone say turn your music up i dont think thats the best advice

i have read elsewhere you should be able to move the belt about 10mm not 5mm so what is it 10mm or 5mm when it is a new belt
