This information was gathered from some of my mates that went to boostworx and that werent too happy with their bill. i was recomended to go to hitech dyno which i did $350 to tune the PWFC where as boostworx quoted me $440

John Keen at HiTech dyno tune is very good he will tell you everything you need to know, he did my tune and i was very happy, boostworx is good too but slightly pricey

Hey guys i have a set of 18 inch ROH Drift Rs with tyres for sale the tyres are a cheaper brand. 2 of the tyres have about 80% left and other 2 have about 60% left on them all tyres are roadworthy. 2 of the rims have slightly bigger gutter marks (not huge but visable) the other two have very little ones hardly noticable. I am not sure of the offset but they fit r33 reasonably well they sit slightly inside the guard. they measure 18x8 the tyres are 235/40/18 and the stud pattern is 114.3 so it will fit other cars with the same stud pattern. I am asking $900 but am open to offers any inspection more than welcome This is only for local pick up for Adelaide peeps, so pm me or sms, call on 0415 466 726 NO POSTAGE Cheers Borko [ ttachment=161576:front_rim.JPG]

R33 Clutch Upgrade, Which One?
bokee replied to bokee's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
hey guys i gotta new clutch now i went for exedy heavy duty brass button, its in car and it is quiet grippy am loving it, i now realise how bad my old clutch was the car seems to pulls harder i couldnt believe it myself i just have to get used to driving it now as there isnt much slip. -
yeah thanks 4 d link yeah i stuffed up, the vct turns off after 450orpm not turns on haha cos what it does it gives you low down torque i was thinking of a vtec haha, yeah but with the ticking noise i dont think it was there before i don know weird but who cares just a little anoying mine ticks with or without in gear and foot on clutch, i was just wondering what the noise was and what it is caused by thanks anyway
-
yeah thats a vct solenoid clicking just off idle mine does the same thing i dont know why, so i wouldnt mind knowing the answear to this one too, mine was clicking with standard and aftermarket ecu, by it clicking that means the vct is being switched on but i dont think it should click in that early usually its around 4500rpm or something so if any of other guys had this problem i would like to know the answear to this too.

my old 03 rex did 13.3 with shity clutch, had 169kw at all 4s so 12.1 is possible my friend with right combination tyres, softer suspension, super reflexes and an advantage of 4wd it is possible
-
the vg box is very similar to the rb25 the only thing that wore on my rb25 is the synchrons (didnt like my gear changes lol) stronger boxes are the gtr and ive also heard that supra boxes are very strong too
-
if you want to go by the book and get ripped off (most places) go to the dealers, if not theres plenty of other mechanics who would do services for a lot less boostworx, tilbrook, hitech dyno tune these guys work on jap imported cars every day hope it helps
-
hey buddy i found John from Hitech Dyno Tune to be very helpfull give him a ring on 8277 4400 he is located in Melrose Park just off south rd emanuel ct. cant remember what number

hey guys am wondering if you can help me out i need a new clutch in my 33, i dont know which clutch would be best for my application and in my budget range.($600) i would prefer extreme (single plate) clutch because they are based in australia. NOw there is organic, ceramic, brass, carbon, what clamp load??? i hear that brass chew quicker through the flywheel. ive got 200rwkw but my goal is between 250-270 which will come sometime down the track. i love smoking rubber and kick clutch it every so often so i need something tough and reliable. its a weekend street car, now if you can tell me all your experiances with extreme clutches good and bad things thanks heaps
