  1. It scares me sometimes...
  2. Lock bars are for people who can't drive a real car. If a big steel bar was better than Hicas, Nissan would have fitted it from factory. Real drivers feel the change during the corner and appreciate what it does for the handling. Other drivers whine that the car did something they weren't expecting and have a cry.
  3. So this is the new challenge then.. Invent an unrealistic automotive component, get a few people to talk about it in Forced Induction performance enough that other people join in the discussion. Wait for people who don't know wastegates from exhaust fans to join in with opinions about the new component and how their mate has one and it's awesome... You know the type of person.. "I read on NS.com that fitting a < made up thing > to your RB can get you 15-20 RWKW if you change a setting on your power FC to compensate for the additional octane lag generated by the low inductance perssure in the intercooler vortex.. Make sure you post a few entries on NS.com and other forums so you can cross-reference the thing you've invented.. Within 6 weeks, you'll get "forum experts" who know everything about the component you've invented, Scammers trying to sell second hand "things", workshops everywhere scratching their heads about the enquiries they're geting for the mystery performance component. If you could get a reputable parts supplier in on the joke and get them to add the component to a website showing it as "on backorder" you'd be really set... Any good suggestions for a part name that sounds like something everyone would want? "Electronic low-pressure boost curve tank" ?
  4. Has anyone ever fitted one of these to an R32 GTR?
  5. Driving a GTR doesn't make you a hoon. It made me a hoon for a while, but i'm better now....

  7. Damn these idiot euro-import drivers giving euro-imports a bad name. Now cops will start to target lambos..
  8. Why would we send someone who wanted a hoon article to NS... it'll still give imports a bad name.. Send them to the XR6 or street commodore forums.. Plenty of hoons, no bad name for imports. Hell, send them to the MG car club! I can see the headlines now.. "Grey Hair Street Menace"
  9. +1 for this. And for crushing. What's the point of just selling it again so someone else can do the same thing with it. No one would support the cops selling weapons that they'd confiscated from criminals, they want them gone so that they can't be used to commit more offences by someone else. As to outstanding finance on cars that are being crushed, imagine if you had to prove a good driving history to the finance company before they'd accept you as a good "risk" to loan to? Perhaps people would drive more sensibly if they thought that certain offences would prevent them from ever getting a car loan... It wouldn't take much confiscating / crushing etc to have an impact on anti-social behaviour in cars. You'd be out with mates and they'd encourage you to do a skid etc, it wouldn't be worth the risk in your nice car.. The one thing i would wish however is that cop cars were all fitted with video recording, and that offences that might lose you your car needed to be backed up with video evidence, not just their word against yours. No evidence, no impound, no proof of hooning.
  10. I hope he now wears his sign... Perhaps there could also be a forum tag, so people would know.. http://mistupid.com/people/page013.htm
  11. yeah, i seem to remember seeing one of these when it was hanging off the side of Brand New VK commodore pursuit car. I don't think the cops have driven them for a few years now. http://www.dontgetcaught.com.au/radarguns.html
  12. It was a great day, thanks again for arranging such a perfect location. Pics Uploaded.. http://picasaweb.google.com/wyseman/200911...ShineDocklands#
  13. Spotted a 33 following me up Lonsdale street just before 7am today. Turned off into QV i think.
  14. He's tuning my car (nistune) on the 27th so i'll let you know. Some friends I have speak very highly of the tunes he's done on their cars. Best thing about the nistune is that you can load a standard map into it and it will just run as per the factory computer. I got the ECU done months ago (sent mine to Nistune in SA and they returned it within a few days with the chip fitted and the standard ECU map loaded.. Chip cost $220, fitting cost about $60 plus postage). I've been driving with the standard maps for months now, there's no need to get a tune done until you're ready. Now in the future if I change AFM's or turbos, my ECU will handle it just fine.
  15. +1 nistune if you don't want to spend the money on a PowerFC. http://www.nistune.com/ I had one installed and it is pretty good, plus it looks exactly like the factory unit.
