  1. Thats alrite if it smells, The inside of my car smells strongly of methanol and burnt rubber anyway. I was just wondering if the fuel would deteriorate it after time or something.
  2. Im after a new d1 style hood for an s13 silvia, Does anyone know anyone that stocks these in australia?
  3. Im currently re-doing every hose in my rb25 s13 with speedflow 100 series, Just wondering How it holds up with unleaded fuel as it says in the speedflow catalogue that its not suitable for fuel. I see heaps of fuel systems with surge tanks and inline pumps running 100 series, Anybody had any dramas with it? Thanks
  4. In need of an rb20 oil filter boss (cast alloy thing that joins the block to the oil filter) as they have no cooler/warmer attached to them thats taking up room in my engine bay..
  5. nobody has an rb20 they can have a quick glance at?
  6. I wanting to remove the water to oil cooler on my rb25 to free up some space and use a air to oil cooler and oil filter re-locater kit. I heard i can use the RB20 oil filter boss which apparently doesnt have the cooler on it? If i remove the cooler do i still need to supply the rear of the block with water from the front of the block? (the return from the oil cooler).
  7. yea the caps, im missing I2 and I3. If i use I2 and I3 off another head i would have to get them machined to suit because of the different wear rates yea?
  8. Hi guys ive got a few spare rb25s sitting around and building up one decent one out of them all. The best cylinder head ive got (27000 kms) has 2 missing cam hats, Would it be alrite if i used some off another head? Would it be better if i got cam journals honed or something?
  9. For sale is TOMEI solid lifter kit and type B valve springs for rb25det. Still new in box worth over $2500 Selling cheap for $1000 as im not looking for as much power as i was initially after.
  10. I have a new rb25 solid lifter kit and type B valve springs still in the box. $1200 for both.
  11. I see what you mean Cartman. Just by sitting the type B spring and solid lifter in the head its easy to see that its going to need a fairly decent sized shim in there. Might just put them aside for another build that may come along lol.
  12. fair enough. atleast its clear now. I have the head next to me now all apart and i can see that the vvt cam journal has 2 holes in it. One of them must me a constant oil supply from somewhere and the other is a supply from the vvt solenoid yea? The heads going on an rb34 stroker bottom end and there isnt must money spared on this setup so i wanna do it right without any troubles.
  13. So really all id have to do is plug up the vvt solenoid hole and weld up the hole in the bottom of the head that used to supply the vvt, and probably put an oil drain in the back of the head down to the sump.
  14. Hi guys i been searching for a while now and couldnt get a straight answer. Im currently building an rb30det with a rb25det vvt head with PROcams, I will be using tomei cam gears with the VVT removed. Do i still need an external oil supply to the front of the head for the cam journal or is it only used for vvt purposes? Any help would be appreciated.
