Gday all,
Lately my Cefiro has been having problems, especially when its cold. Starts up fine, and idles fine, idles a bit high but its always been like that... Anyway, as I start to drive the turbo will spool up quite a bit, but the car wont pull, its like the brakes are engaged lol. Then after a while it will stutter and sort of bounce you around a bit then drive ok for a moment. But then repeat this until it warms up, that was the starting problem. Now if im cruising down the road it will sometimes misfire or not quite run as smoothly as it it should. Biggest problem now is, when I come onto boost which is only around 10psi it hits a wall, like an ignition cut with constant stuttering. It will still pull fairly decently if I gently ease in the throttle but it cant be good for it. I have no idea what can cause this, its an ignition problem somewhere. I checked the AFM and its ok, the plugs were changed not long ago. Another person I know has this same problem, and has tried replacing the AFM, plugs, coils and the ignition module. Only thing I can think of thats left is the Crank Angle Sensor... Could this also be a lively candidate, and will an ECU diagnostic show me problem? Im a bit tight on money at the moment so im trying not to spend things on components that might not be causing the problem...
Thank you all, appreciate it.
Adam.
