On the way down Port Wakefield Road I was waiting at the traffic lights, and a silver Ceffy (same colour as mine) turned off Diagonal Road, so I quickly caught up to it. It was absolute stock, nothing changed on it. Got the shock of my life when I pulled up along side.. and it was a late 40 year old woman by herself in it. Maybe older, she looked like one of them people that would be offended if you call them older then they actually are lol.. She was concentrating ever so hard!

After buying 3 lots of bonnet struts.. I seem to have bought 3 that only had a few weeks left in them.. How good is that!? haha. Am after another set for regency, as they defected me for that, even though I got passed last time without it fine. :S So lets get it bloody dealt with once and for all, if anyone knows where to get them regassed that would help too, I'm sure I saw something on it here somewhere, but I cant find it. Taken 5 months... finally went over Regency for the second time today since having the car... 3 people were standing out the front doing nothing when I got there. Waited 45 mins, still were 15 mins past my scheduled time before they brought me in. Right front indicator decided to play up before going in, stopped working.. even though I checked it every day for the last week pretty much. Left there, brought it back, now works fine. Had it steam cleaned and they found a powersteering leak underneath, groovy... Did me for bonnet struts, never had a problem with that first time around. One of my seat belt buckles were caught under the seat. Noone sits there anyway, be stupid too. When I did the suspension and bled the brakes, I forgot to put the clips to secure the brake lines back on. Another defect... Pissy two second jobs..! Said to me, if it was just the lights he would of let me go... also took note on the, "were looking out for these kinds of cars at the moment". So anyone with a Cefiro planning a regency trip, just wait a little bit longer. lol. Everything else was a breeze, just pissed off mainly at the indicator, *shakes head* Some consistency would be good, one person does you for something, and the next person doesnt.. Should just tell you what needs doing entirely... keep the stories the same, fix them.. and have no problems. Just another way to get money out of ya I guess.

Ive always wanted a 240z... But I cant really see myself spending all that money on one. Was pretty damn sure when I was out in the country about a year ago now, I saw a shell from a 240 - 260 or 280z sitting in a paddock somewhere. If I wasnt with my boss I would of jumped the barbwire fence and had a looksie.

See one once in a blue moon in Adelaide.. Saw a white one, black polished lip twice in 2 days. May have been 2 different ones but I highly doubt it haha! Saw a dark grey one on Main North Road at Salisbury way with a defect sticker. Hopefully soon enough I'll put another one back on the streets.

I got a carpet sitting in my grandparents shed, came out of mine before I got my new one..Its not the best looking though. I had the floormats down, was missing one and the one I needed wasnt there, so things looked a little out of whack. But now with my black ones, all I gotta worry about is sand, dirt and grass! Have a few plastic trim pieces, cant quite remember what there is, things that covers seatbelts and stuff.. Have to pull it all out, have another look. Hopefully your in S.A if thats the case.

I remember back in year 6 where I would rather draw a car, then do any other work... they weren't the most nicest things, very plain but hey it was something.. Well least I thought so, lol. Never did get into cars til I got my license, but never knew what I wanted to do when I left school. But lucky for me, my dad owns his own business, general building/renovations etc, and I was put straight to work the day after my year 12 graduation. lol. So I learnt a lot from the last 4 years or so, no apprenticeship, no certificates.. I didnt want to do that kind of work, but at least I had something. Ive learnt most things from, gyprocking, plumbing, tiling, 1st and 2nd fix carpentry, cornice, flushing, roofing, concreting, rendering.. You name it, if its in a renovation Ive done it time and time again... Part of me now wishes that I did something with auto mechanics, mainly the cost of labour really.. But, doing all this building work, when it comes time to do work on our own house, or when eventually I get my own, I'm not going to want to do that all the time. So rather then do the thing I enjoy the most, and burn myself out on that, keep it as a hobby and not a career, so I can still enjoy it. Noone in my family, apart from my dad... did anything with cars, my dad played with his cars when he was 16. Was only a 120y datsun which looked like ass but he enjoyed it. Unfortunately, all the time he spent on them burnt him out. I dont even bother trying to ask him to lend a hand, cos I already know the answer.. he might tell me what to do or what I can do to make it a little easier. But thats it... Get a little disappointed sometimes, as I'm at work with him helping him with his stuff out, and just shows no interest in the thing I like to do as a hobby. (Not saying hes a bad father lol). Was looking at a mechanics course to get my head around things a bit better. I've pretty much learnt through youtube and other peoples stories/instructions. Good common sense is a must for cars, I get really shitty really quickly. But feel 100 times better after completeing something myself. Cost me a bit over 3 grand when my Cefiro got defected, take out the suspension, few electrical problems, general crap really.. And it opened my eyes to see that I dont need to pay someone else to do it for me. Take the time, learn the best way possible and just have a crack at it. In the last few months, (yes months, I dont get a lot of free time, when I do I just wanna sit down and relax). Ive been doin my own stuff on my car. Defected again (hopefully not much longer!) Ive done no mechanical course, had noone to really show me what to do, I just observed through the net and put it into practice. Recently done the suspension myself, bled the brakes, changed pads, spark plugs, general maintenance stuff, and I feel better for it. Plus saving myself around the $700 mark. Well that was probably the longest thing Ive wrote since about high school sometime lol... I apologise if that bored anyone, if it did, then why did you read it for. Good luck mate!

Hmm.. this makes me wonder if the noise coming from my Ceffy has the same problem. I thought it was more towards the air conditioner compressor... but I might have to look up on it!

I can get a pic tomorrow, I got told that there is 2 different types of dimmer units, mine only has the 2 plugs at the back... and the others are more complicated. Wonder if I just put it together, bypassed it and make it look like it worked.. lol. Such a pointless excercise.

Hopefully that makes sense.. Basically, dashlights went on me, found out it was the dimmer unit itself thats not making contact anymore.. Unfortunately, I got told I need this for regency... otherwise I would bypass it. And my headlights are doin wierd shit, played around with the contacts on the switch and cleaned them up.. seems to be working ok for now, but its just a matter of time. They look pretty burnt. So if anyone has these things, would be very handy. Thanks. Adam.

Its been happening for quite a while now, was fine when driving the car... just topped it up and all was well. Can see it peeling the paint off the booster. Since defect it sat for 3 weeks, (completely forgot about it) which gave it long enough time to completely empty itself. Now with air in the system, brakes are useless.. So cant drive it to get repaired... So my question is, should I just take it off & get the seals redone? Or is there more to it then that. Or just buy a completely different unit? Anyone here that can vouch for a place to do it? Was going to just bleed the brakes and put new stuff through it, but seeing as its gonna do it again anyway.. might as well do it once, and do it properly. I would take it off myself, never really looked at the thing so just wondering if its an easy task... Thanks.. much appreciated. Adam..

Mine leans forward like that too.. lol. But thats just really low sus at the front and coils wound up at the back... never used to be heaps low at the front, but it certainly made it that way..

It's really the only thing I changed since going through regency apart from the suspension of course. I got some fronts that let me pass last time, had to borrow rears from mates 32.. Do they have a go about bonnet struts? Last time they managed to survive a while before the bonnet dropped down while it was on the hoist, scared the absolute shit out of everyone too LOL!
