Well after a certain grinding noise caught my attention and a changing of clutch a few weeks back, I thought it was only the thrust bearing. But unfortunately I was wrong, mate of a mate has said to me its part of the shaft in the gearbox... Im surprised its lasted as long as it has, and 3rd gear always crunched over the year Ive had the car, but from what it looks like, my poor Ceffy has had a hard life before I even got to it. So im trying to source a normal RB20 turbo box, doesnt have to be too flashy. I know its "get what you pay for". Help would be appreciated.. Thanks. Adam...

I have a similiar problem, but mine has been fine til recently, and I havnt changed the K&N pod over since I bought it. I thought AFM, not sure if its when I bought it or its happened over time, should give it a clean really.. My idle is about 1500, drops down to 1000 and sometimes 800-900. Its never consistent, and when it is, its always above 1000revs. More recently, its beginning to get to a point where it wants to stall. Not heaps often, but after some driving its fine again! Mate of mine unplugged the afm while it was off, it fired up and idled high, plugged it back in, and it was sweet. I went to put air in my tyres one night, turned it off.. did the tyres, tried to start it back up. She wouldnt even fire. So I pulled the dipstick for the oil out for some reason and thought, ill try now... It worked! lol... I get the occasional missfire, but that happens rarely. And its always just one cough... Sorry for jacking ya thread, perhaps its easier to explain in the same one.

YES! Just when you think they are gonna work, you check your oil or coolant levels and smack, cops ya in the back of the head! haha, happened to me a few times. I sent an email a while ago about them, down somewhere in Glenelg a bloke said to me I think it was about $58.60 a strut to regas. But I wasnt too sure what other options there could be. Plus, its not a huge problem anyway, allows me to carry a piece of wood in the boot. lol..

Plastic shroud around the air con controls.. wont stay on as the clips are broken. Also the shroud that covers the stereo. Mine has a crack in it. Thanks.. Adam.

If anyone is interested I found out that Cefiro brake pads are also the same as the Y30 Cedric ones, for those who are too pov to afford better brakes, lol.. Like myself.

I got defected a while back, and my girlfriend who at the time wasnt my girlfriend said that I should of gotten a normal car. lol... 5 months later, and im with her now and she has finally caved into Cefiro greatness!

I went and bought the pads... gonna need them eventually anyway. Pads are fine... Could it be the tyres thats on it now? Only seems to scrape when im braking and turning sharply... Doesnt make sense to me.

r32 shocks and springs... I borrowed them.. The standard cefiro ones I got from ebay, the shocks were stuffed. So it wouldnt of passed Regency. And I cant put my coilovers back in, because then I have to put the fronts back in, tokico and they are so extremely low. Need new front coilovers.

How old roughly is the cooler and piping? Mine looks to be a bit worn out. Ill take the turbo timer, and yes thats right about the shroud, mine has a clip broken and the bastard keeps falling off. Where bouts in Adelaide are ya? Cheers mate...

Shroud for air con components? Turbo Timer brand? How much for the rear centre garnish with Cefiro in it...? All door lock/unlock button on drivers arm rest? How decent is the cooler piping? Steering wheel? Cheers... Adam.

Howd you go about painting the front grille? Im thinking bout doing the same, but not sure on how to achieve such a beautiful look! hehe.

The crunching has begun, need new brake pads. Now... I have no idea where I can get Cefiro ones from. I looked at the interchangeable parts list, and is the 03' maxima the only one that fits? Seems like a bit of a jump in years for them to be the same... Are these better then any other pad for the stock brakes? Hate to ask so many questions but I dont really wanna go cheap on something that will make me stop. lol... Thanks... Adam.

Hmm.. might have to go down to the garage and see what they did... My dad was behind me in his car today, and told me as I went around corners my rear wheels were coming about 100mm off the ground!

Hey all, just got my Ceffy back after a 5 month downtime (thanks regency) and im having this problem... Im not sure why its doing it, it never did it before. What basically happens, is if I turn to fast around a corner, and accelerate on the way out, the whole car begins to shake as it comes on boost... It also sometimes does it, if the wheels are spinning and the back end wants to come around. It feels like the back wheels are bouncing on the road, but im pretty sure something might be wrong with the engine? Just had new spark plugs put in... Ill that I changed suspension wise, was the stock A31 fronts... and the rears from an R32. Is there something that the 32 springs dont like about the car? Is it more of a temporary thing or can they actually stay in there with no problems? Got some 205/60/15 on the rears, and 195/60/15 on the front. Might that have anything to do with it? They came off a mate of mines R31 Coupe... Tailshaft had to replaced, so got my hands on a 32 one... and mixed them together. Could that be whats causing it? Im absolutely clueless... thanks for your time. Adam.

Yeah my car never had the plate to say whats what either, even though it still be no help if I had it. I did have a list of what was what, but I cant locate it anymore. Must of forgotten about it when I formatted.

Must admit... stock BOV on the Ceffy is quite nice.
