  1. Thanks mate - that sounds ideal actually. Totally agree about not going stupid, one of the primary reasons I want to do this is to get familiar with the car (only had it six weeks) and find out what it's limits are in a safe environment. I'll be impeded by my tyres though - they are only 5 weeks old but are complete shit in my opinion - although I havent driven another Skyline, so I have nothing to compare to... Can't recall the brand but yes they were cheapies, I bought new wheels immediately after buying the car and figured why not go for cheap tyres lest I was going to burn a lot of rubber rather quickly until the novelty wore off They are absolte *shockers* in the wet, so I pray for dry weather on the track day... Anyway, 95% probability I'll turn up for this one!
  2. Hey Guys - I've never taken a car to a track before and wondering whether the upcoming 'Arrive and Drive' Off-Street Track Day (15th March) is worth going to? It's non-competitive but that's fine by me, it sounds OK but they do allow you to really put the foot down, right? I'm moving interstate middle of next month so this'll be my only chance to drive at Oran Park before it dissapears. Cheers
  3. No worries Omar... I'll just be sure to bring my walking cane and spare colostomy bag! Nah... I'm really not all that old (40). I got a lot going on between now and April (preparing to move interstate) so it's hard to be 100% sure I can make it but I'll certainly try. I wanna go on at least one run in NSW before I go, and also try for a track day at Oran park as well, since that track is soon to dissapear.
  4. Nice... Now, don't forget not to unwind your windows for at least 2 days I managed 4 days.
  5. Ignition DVDs, Impreza indicators, DLink wifi car & Netgear USB wifi adaptor sold, thanks.
  6. Spotted 3 x 33's this arvo - a black, a silver and a maroon - all in Wollongong on the way to picking my 34 up from the detailers... best $200 I've spent by the way, the paint looks fan-bloody-tastic now
  7. I'm seriously thinking about printing up some stickers... I spotted at 5 cars with frangipanis today alone!
  8. Beudy, thanks
  9. Tempting... but are any of you over 30 years of age? I suspect I'd feel like Grandpa Simpson if I went...
  10. Is that URL correct, either the site is down or... I'd love to get on that list, damn I'll have to read these forums more often!
  11. That's Terralong St in Kiama.
  12. Hmm, the town where I live
  13. Sounds interesting, thanks for the report. Only thing that concerns me is the tarry adhesive... how messy is this stuff, is it easy to remove? Cheers,
  14. Hiya, Sorry for the delay in replying, my email alerts have suddenly stopped for some reason today... I thought SAU had gone a bit quiet The WG111 behaves in the same way as any network adaptor, so as long as it's been configured correctly, as in Ad-hoc (Peer ro Peer), then yes. I assume that's what you mean, you want to connect to another computer rather than an access point? Some basic info on this adaptor here, see if you think it'll suit your needs: http://www.netgear.com/Products/Adapters/G...ters/WG111.aspx Cheers,
  15. LOL, I should have read further down the thread before posting...
  16. Sounds like the 3 Stooges: "woop woop woop woop". Heh
  17. I originally wanted a 32 GTR, but went for a 34GTT for the reasons outlined here many times over. I must say in general terms the GTT is a more comfortable car to be in for 'normal' driving at least. I'm still thinking about buying a 32 GTR - but to take my time restoring it from the ground up, and in the way I want it to be. In the meantime, I have the GTT to enjoy... I think this is the best solution for me anyway
  18. Everyone is different, by personally I think you'd be better off trying to get it visibly back to stock as much as possible. If I was a potential buyer (and I was, only 6 weeks ago), those aftermarket gauges, seats, steering wheel and rear wing would put me off immediately. Better to return it as close to stock as possible and sell off the aftermarket stuff seperately. Value? Probably 25K tops - I paid $22K for a just complianced 2000 model GTT 6 weeks ago in VG cond - and that's from a dealer.
  19. Problem is everyone has a different idea of what 'too loud' is I recently fitted a turbo back system to my GTT, a 3.5" Xforce system. Made a nice performance gain but I did end up changing the muffler & resonator as I personally found it a tad too loud. So I now have a complete Xforce 3.5" cat-back system for a R34GTT (used for 2 weeks) available for sale if anyone needs one . You'd just need the Xforce dump pipe and cat to complete the system...
  20. Phone books... is there nothing they can't do?
  21. Maybe he should get a Suzuki Mighty Boy? He should look Huge in it! Or perhaps start scarfing down some steroids for brekky... Seriously though, your friend is silly to not buy the car for that reason.
