  1. Looks very nice! It looks fairly low - any scrubbing or other clearance problems noticed yet? I have Nismo coilovers in mine, from what I can tell not set up as low as yours, but I've scraped the resonator on the exhaust once in my driveway already... hmm. And the front tyres do scrape on the guards ever so slightly when at a fairly hard lock and going up a driveway... but not so badly as to be a real problem.
  2. Hi Grant, Had the car tuned at Croydon last week. (Great guys by the way) Before I had any work done I had it run on the Dyno, it did 170KW - that's with an Xforce 3.5" turbo back system, Splitfires & Blitz panel filter - otherwise stock. Then had a Power FC fitted, along with a FMIC and GReddy PRofec B-spec II boost controller... oh, and a new O2 sensor as well. Did 210KW @ 14psi, so a nice improvement I thought. Certainly a noticeable improvement in acceleration, particularly in the mid-range. Turbo kicks in much earlier than before. Fuel economy seems same or similar... maybe a bit better than before? It's a bit hard to tell because I've been pretty heavy with the right foot since I picked it up from CRD and filled the tank... Also thanks for the Impul info Grant, I'll definitely look further into their front bars, cheers.
  3. Nice, very nice... what bumper is that, aftermarket? Also like the number plate placment, do you have a side view showing off the bumper? Looks good with no wing - I'm undecided whether I want to remove mine or not, one day I like it, next day I'm not so sure... So I was thinking that once I've moved interstate and resettled, I might simply buy another boot and have it sprayed to match - that way I can simply change boots from time to time as the mood takes me
  4. Correct Again correct - and I also prefer the series one bumper - although if I got one of those I'd also have to replace the indicator lenses with some clear ones... well, I should anyway I reckon. BTW the number plate is only temporary as i'll be moving to Tassie shortly, will get one of the slimline type of plates as well, and trying to find a good custom plate - but all the good ones are taken of course! I really wanted just 'R34' but it looks like they don't allow so few letters/numbers combo. Also, I might move the plate away to the side to show off the intercooler...
  5. My exhaust? If so, it's not titanium (I wish...)... just a 3.5" Xforce system. Only had it fitted 2 or 3 weeks ago but am seriously considering replacing the muffler with a Varex muffler as I find this one too loud for daily driving whilst too restricted with the silencer fitted. So it might be on the market shortly... Only problem is that apparently they don't make a 3.5" version of the Varex - only a 3", I'm thinking though that it shouldnt make too much difference performance wise. Also looking for other options in the variable department - but not much seems available in Oz, and the others I have looked at O.S are bloody expensive. If anyone knows of others available in Oz i'd love to hear about 'em. Cheers
  6. (Thanks for the reply & sorry for taking so long to reply, been too damned busy!) Agreed in that I do prefer the older style FB on these - not sure what the Nismo version looks like but if anyone has a link or photo handy I'd sure appreciate it. Also love the GTR bumper - but that sounds like an expensive proposition as IIRC you'd also need to change the bonnet? Mind you, the GTR bonnet also looks great Cheers
  7. I totally agree with you in that I have always had all of my cars tinted (if not already done). You can't beat tinting for keeping the car cooler, for privacy and general interior protection. This R34 is only a semi-daily driver, as I have kept my old bomb Impreza (bought off of eBay and a bit rough around the edges - but very reliable, lol) for daily duties, especially shopping and carting crap. So tinting the 34 isn't so crucial in that regard. Also, I'll be moving to Tassie soon so hot weather won't be an issue... But I am leaning towards getting the doors tinted now - just as long as it looks indistinguishable form the outside. Cheers
  8. That tint looks pretty well matched alright, if I could definitely get mine to look like that (from the outside at least) then I reckon I'd go ahead and get it done. Can you recall the brand and type of tint you had done, or where it was done? Usually they give you a warranty card/brochure with all those details. Cheers
  9. Yep, not sure I want two different tint shades on mine either...
  10. Quite right what you say about visibility. The rear window visibility is not the best to begin (especially with the wing) with these cars let alone with the dark tint. BTW, how bad are the reverse lights on the coupe - might as well not have any I reckon! Okay I'll stop complaining now
  11. I'm in two minds about getting the door glass tinted - the quarters and rear window were already done in Japan, the existing tint is very dark and presumably not exactly legal in Aus, so the remaining glass tint would be quite a bit lighter. Sometimes I'd really prefer a bit more privacy, hence the idea of tinting the doors - this assuming I can get film that matches the existing tint in tone, etc. Anyway, help me make my mind up! Pros and Cons, people? Cheers
  12. OK, why not... I've never seen a body kit that I thought truly enhanced the existing lines of a Skyline. That said, I would like a new front bar... but I've yet to find the right one as yet!
  13. From the album: My Black GTT...

    New exhaust system...
  14. If it's black, manual and has all the gauges - then I might be interested I gave up trying to find a four door like that...
  15. As per title... Need the rear wiper arm for an R34 GTT, blade would also be good. Also looking for the carpet for the boot floor, along with the floor/board that goes underneath (whatever that is called!). I'm in Kiama NSW, anywhere within reasonable driving distance is fine (1 -2 hours)... or drop off at my place of course would be just dandy! message/email me with what you've got & how much, cheers
  16. Ah well fair enough No worries! Spotted a red R34 4 door in Warrawong this arvo... couldve been a NA GT, not sure... a P plater anyway. I really like the 4 doors, starting to wish mine was a 4 door.
  17. Yoiks... you gave me a scare - my black 34GTT's rego starts with AU but it certianly shouldnt be on the Pacific Hwy! How do you guys remember the rego numbers like that? I'm hopeless at that sort of thing
  18. Nice wheels... anyone know the brand/model? Cheers
  19. Seen a nice black R34 coming the other way in central Wollongong - saw you wave, hope you saw me wave back (at the last moment when I spotted you Spotted a white(?) R33 near Wollongong... and another 33 heading towards Jamberoo...
  20. Thanks for that Grant. From what I have just read, the Blitz LM does look quite good - apparently no cutting holes or any other BS required... I really want to avoid that (unless there's some really good reason). I don't know if it would be a problem - but do these remain fully within the body - by that I mean do they reduce ground clearance in any way? Anyone know? Anyone know who sells these at the best price, preferably around Sydney - or failing that - best price inc *quick* delivery? Cheers
  21. Okay, I've just spent spent an hour or so searching through the forum - whilst there is plenty of talk regarding FMIC, surprisingly there doesnt seem to be much specific info on what are generally agreed to be the best/most suitable intercoolers for the different model Skylines. Perhaps I'm missing something??? Anyway, I'm looking to have a FMIC fitted to my R34 GTT. Surely there are kits (by that I mean the intercooler, all pipes and whatever else included) that are specifically designed for the R34 GTT? And if so, which ones are generally considered to have the best combination of performance/ease of installation/quality/cost? Thanks for any constructive advice
  22. Bingo. it's amazing how many take the bait so easily
  23. Just letting everyone know this item in now sold... to me Picked it up this evening & tested all good. Thanks Rad Now to get some tuning organised... Cheers
  24. Interesting, never thought about the coilovers... I've had the same thing happen to me, definitely no noticable wheelspin and not much acceleration for that matter, but the slip light comes on (along with the engine being throttled back). Hmm. So you reckon the coilovers? Anyone else get this minor problem?
  25. I reckon the switch would be a good idea, so you can keep it off boost while the engine is still cold... once she's warmed up - switch over to the modded boost levels. Or for wet/greasy roads (like today)... it'd just be good to have to option to change it quickly and easy IMO. Cheers
