  1. Thanks. I really need to plan ahead next time, as once I got to Hobart I had no idea where to go or what to look at, lol. But going up Mt Wellington was well worth it
  2. Cool, it does look good too. I just noticed how damned low your car is as well... bloody hell, you'd have fun driving it around my neck of the woods
  3. Have you had any help from the mods on that particular forum? When I alerted some mods via PM about one of his (then newly posted) ads on there, I got absolutely no response at all. And last time I looked, that ad were still there, only now you can read posts from ppl who have since been ripped off. None of the above helps you very much, and I really do hope you manage to get your money back (if not punish the bastard)... but it just cheeses me off that forums like that do not seem to be policed a little better.
  4. Nice Just wondering why you've relocated the coil packs like that, do they not fit under the covers or is there some other advantage to it, or just for looks? Nicely done anyway. Also, where did you get the strut brace from just out of interest? Oh and while I'm at it I have yet another question I see you have those 'gizmos' connecting the bottom lip of your spoiler to the bumper, are they to add strength or serve some other function? Always been meaning to ask someone that question
  5. Since I serviced the 34 on Saturday and hadnt driven it much for a while, I decided to go for a run down to Hobart from home (St Helens) if only to see what the roads are like. The route along the east coast is brilliant over all, good quality surfaces, a good drivers road suitable for 'interesting' speeds. There were one or two inexplicable dips in the road on some straight sections that anyone in a really lowered car may come undone on if they're going fast enough though... something to be aware of. The only thing it lacks is a really tight/twisty section - but it has pretty much everything else you could ask for I reckon. Not much traffic at all either. I didnt spend much time in Hobart itself (drove around Salamanca Place a bit), once I spotted the towers up on My Wellington, I made a beeline for that tower Thats where these pics were taken obviously. It was freakin' freezing up there (literally) and I certainly wasnt dressed for it either, lol... Also had a real fun time trying to disarm the immobiliser due to the high RF levels up there, but I perservered! Came back down and refuelled somewhere close to the city - I spotted one white and one purple (?) R33 in quick sucession but they're the only other Lines I saw the whole day. It was by then 2PM, so decided better start heading back, so headed up north along the Midland Hwy, made a detour through Richmond, had a look around, then back to the highway north until the Tasman Hwy. 567KM in about 8 hours all up, I didnt see a single patrol car or radar the whole trip either.
  6. Righto - So bright and early(ish) yesterday I decided to go for a run down to Hobart from home (St Helens) if only to see what the roads are like. The route along the east coast in brilliant over all, good quality surfaces, a good drivers road suitable for 'interesting' speeds. The only thing it lacks is a really tight/twisty section - but it has pretty much everything else you could ask for. I didnt spend much time in Hobart itself, once I spotted the towers up on My Wellington, I made a beeline for that tower So thats where these pics were taken anyway. It was freakin' freezing up there (literally) and I certainly wasnt dressed for it either... Also had a real fun time trying to disarm the immobiliser due to the high RF levels up there! Too bad there is a lot of bug spatter on the front... just try to ignore that.
  7. Actually I'm not sure specifically what brand except to say it is one of the cheaper ones sold by Croydon Racing Developments - I also had them install it. Seems to do the job - not much butchery involved save for a hole under the battery carrier.
  8. Yeah, sounds like my 34, has the Xforce Varex muffler with the twin pipes. I arrived in Devonport on April 17 if that helps? Were you the guy who spoke to me before we left Pt Melbourne?? Cheers
  9. Most certainly will Did an oil change today, was well overdue too so I compensated by using Motul 300V Anyway, I might take the 34 out tomorrow down the east coast, maybe all the way to Hobart, as I still havent been there since I arrived a month ago. She's got a nice new set of Targa Tasmania plates as well now
  10. Now those wheels look real familiar I put a new set of Targa plates on mine the other day - I bought this 34 last January and already it's had three completely different number plates I might take a run down the east coast to Hobart tomorrow if it's a nice day... and take some better photos while I'm at it. Still havent been that way since I moved here a month ago today
  11. I'm sure I came across a white one for sale in the past 8 months or so when I was shopping around for an R34.
  12. You see that a lot though - some people seem to change things on their cars for the sake of change, or to make it unique - even if it looks lame
  13. Describing them as "interesting" is being generous in the extreme...
  14. Thats what they look like to me too, but I'm not sure...
  15. Looks great - what wheels are those? They look to be black in the photo but hard to be certain...
  16. Seems like the easiest/cheapest solution, thanks. I guess the genuine filter must be of good enough quality if everyone is using them on modded engines. Cheers
