  1. Agreed. That said, there is nothing to stop a particular police officer from being a tosser either...
  2. Thanks for the clarification. I've heard before that people have been booked for not wearing a seat belt in car parks, which I find incredible. Sigh.
  3. I don't see why not? Also - I just checked on Caltex's site and apparently the Caltex truck stop on the M4 sells Vortex 98: (for those who might be interested!) -------------------------------------------------- Detailed Information Name: Caltex Star Mart EASTERN CREEK WESTBOUND Address: M4 MOTORWAY WESTBOUND EASTERN CREEK NSW 2766 Phone: 02 96721622 Fax: 02 96721846 Location Type:Service Station Products:Unleaded Petrol, E10 Unleaded, Vortex 95, Vortex 98, Auto LPG, Diesel ----------------------------------------------------
  4. I'm damned glad I'm moving interstate in 10 days time (mind you, these laws will might well spread elsewhere... a bit like herpes really). What I'd like to know is, WTF is a " road related area" exactly?
  5. No worries... & Ch23 sounds good DECIM8 (((... also will start praying to the great God Nismo for good weather ))))
  6. I'll be there... weather and car permitting Hey - do any of you have UHF CBs or hand helds? Just asking because I'll have one with me...
  7. I don't suppose the power intake & heat sheild would suit a 34GTT? If so,I'd be keen and am local (I already have an FMIC)
  8. mmm... both nice, but I think I prefer the ones pictured on your car. They also look a little less common than the other ones.
  9. No, not exactly in bankstown, but near it. To me, all parts of Sydney are the same - I wouldnt feel safe parking any of my cars in any suburb. Where I live, half the time I don't even lock the doors when I go out... the worst crime in the whole area is probably me, washing my car with the hose Personally, I'm just grateful that 4 million people actually choose to live together in one small concentrated area rather than spread out across the country
  10. Indeed I didnt have one handy at the time, although I did have a star picket handy just in case.
  11. And I don't live in Sydney... lol
  12. Those 20's look great
  13. Nope, most definitely trying to keep it to a minimum - the soonest I can have it checked out by someone I trust is this Monday. Oil pressure appears OK at moderate revs, at high revs I do not know simply because I'm concentrating on the road Splitfires are barely 2 months old, and I've refilled the tank with 98 3 times since this started. Anyway hopefully I'll find the cause this Monday, something minor I hope. On or after the 17th I am driving it over to Tassie - so it has to be in good shape by then...
  14. Spotted a light coloured (silver?) R33 scoping out my R34 parked in my Grandmother's driveway late last night near Bankstown Airport. (not really visible at night from the road I might add, so they must have seen it during the afternoon) They wisely decided to quickly leave once they realised they'd been spotted. How do you Sydney people put up with that shit every day?
  15. Ditto, its a long drive for me, so if its going to be wet... hmm. Plus I have to drive back up Sydney the next day as well, and I have a possible issue with my engine light coming on above 5000RPM :\ Aside from that... still looking forward to it!
  16. Great info Cubes, thanks mate. It is good to at least have a narrowed down list of turbo options - I was also told the 3076 was good for 260-280rwkw. Good to see consistant advice, gives me confidence in what to buy. I must admit I've found this area (turbos) fairly confusing - so many variables and choices, conflicting info, plus its an expensive upgrade so you wanna get it right the first time! Also will keep in mind the port matching comments as well. It'd be nice if I could crack 300rwKW though... a nice round figure... Don't want to stray too far off the topic, but any suggestions on what brand/size injectors, fuel pump & reg to compliment a GT3076 also most welcome Cheers
  17. Heh... yeah, I suppose there are too many variables regarding the above topic ^^ . E.G, I'm not lazy and generally can find almost anything on the net most times, but not always, especially if it's a topic you're not already clued in on. I've used search here and can find 'answers' to my question but its hard to know if it is the right answer, which is compounded by conflicting answers... blah - just going round in circles here, probably easier to not say anything
  18. Very well said. Sometimes those who have been there and done it all before forget and assume newbies already know what they should be searching for... it is not always obvious at first. I'm new to turbos, and Skylines for that matter and it can put you off this forum when you read glib replies about using a search engine. Not that it is unique to this forum of course
  19. Great post discopotato03. I'm looking at upgrading my turbo and have had the 3076 recommended to me by one of the better known tuning shops in Sydney. Edit: fixed speelingk
  20. Out of sheer desperation today, I drove into a Caltex (I was on dead empty) and they had Vortex 98 I should also add my last tank of Ultimate was highly suspect. It was running badly above 6000RPM and engine light flickering on and off -only since my last tank of Ultimate. This arvo I fill up with the Vortex 98 and suddenly the problem appears to have vanished. Hmm.
  21. Shock-freakin'- horror... I was on empty, and was forced to go into a Caltex... and they had Vortex 98!
