Mint. Good to see another GTSt getting love and coming back to life. Did I miss what colour you are going to wrap it? -
R32 GTS/GTST non driven wheel speed
Roy replied to Looney_Head's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Another complicated thing is to run Z32 alloy hubs which have wheel speed sensors for ABS. You need different tie rod end, and you need new bearings on the upright etc. I did that as part of a major refresh when my front kingpin bearing flogged out., Alloy was a little lighter, runs a bigger bearing , gives a few extra mm in wheelbase as it moves the wheel forward in the arch (cant run crazy but can still get 8ish comfortably). All in all glad I did it but was a head fark as tried it once and abandoned it the first time. sav man swung his spanners at it and got it working so using his guidance on GTR/Z32 tie rod ends etc and the required mismatch of parts was able to make it work. Probably a 2k upgrade all said and done :( I think the best bet is just look around your front wheel and see what you can pick up rotationally. You see old Escorts, E30s etc all get very creative with front uprights and the humble old angled alloy bracket. -

I'd love a neat 32 as a daily... but the count is 2 attempts to steal my car. Makes me nervous leaving them anywhere these days I want to find a rough ex drift shell song can go race in Super TT with Ryan in his 370Z Keep the GTSt, I have spare Racepace Tein RAs, RB20 Power FC. HKS 80mm exhaust that I can almost give you...lol all these parts are why I want a daily GTSt

Lol, yeh...the things we tell ourselves. I slap my motors together myself and havent lost one yet. ECU setup is worth 6 times any motor i have built....lol so....yeh its masturbatory Help me Steve, got an Emtron KV8 and thinking P14 Black Box with C127 or AEM ED7/ CD7. Ive got my old Aim MXL and Race Technology DASH2 so no rush for dashes; next step is PDM with PWM as i still street drive the old girl and fuel does warm up with 550l/min cranking through the lines just potting around along with thermo fans Lol justvspent 14hrs doing my wiring diagrams in CAD to help work out wtf im doing -

Not sure at all when you think I just spent 2 days looking for a pdm rather than just I stalling a relay -

Power FC is all you need. All this extra fluff I'm installing is very masturbatory... With the car off the road again there is waaay too much playing with something -

So Bathurst coming up so really need to get this new ECU in. I regret going to flex fuel and all the headaches associated with DBW with cruise etc....a miss the simplicity of Power Fc I make enough power that I should have just gone back to 98 but...anyway Turns out with the std inlet I cant really go any bigger than 60mm DBW so wasnt able to play with that aspect of the update. -

Tops...so this https://www.iee.nz/product-page/gtr-electronic-pedal-conversion Is basically a modded standard pedal? Works for me if so -

Happy New Year ppl Got myself in a bit of a mess. Can't fund a new 350Z DBW pedal locally so sort of stuck with what the next best option is. Want to ensure pedal position is at least as good for heel-toe as factory Measured up the std inlet and seems I need to make do with 400rwkws through a 60mm DBW Bosch throttle body -
OS giken 26 spline input shaft compatibility
Roy replied to SiR_RB's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
So digging this thread up. Why would I do the GM 26 spline if doing a full OS Giken gearset in an RB25 box? I am pretty easy on gearboxes generally having never blown one. My current box has had gear on gear contact so now has very loud whining noise so need new gears Not sure ro go 34 gtt box or rebuild with OS Giken gearset https://youtu.be/N1N7eQEC1N0?feature=shared -

Yeh, I found a place that does 68 vane 343mm rotors so hoping going from 42 to 68 with some better ducting will keep them alive For all those reasons I have kept the 17s Uncle Dunc....32s just don't look as good with 18s. But the 343mm does limit the 17" wheels you can run to basically LM GT4, TE37s or Weds TC You Bathursting this year? -
Brake upgrade - EVO vs Alcon or similar
Roy replied to kitto's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Also, EVO Brembos have bloody big pistons so if you dont have ABS, id recommend you drive a car with the upgrade to see if you like them -
Are you still rocking GTSt MCA shock in the bus?

Its a shitbox too...The Motec and EFR sitting on the bench will hopefully help it break more driveline parts Christ, had it 12 years . Time for another English shitter I should actually swap beakes. 370mm 6 pot APs for street car and 343mm 4 pot on club car!?!?!? 🤔 -

I love my old school Weds but having used a set of Pagid RS29s and rotors down to 30.5mm after only really 8 track days I think it's time for 18s -
I run RB25DE inlet manifold on an RB25 (no VCT) with twin 2860-5s on E85 and it is more respo lnsive then generally the R32R33 GTRs with same turbo setups in same dyno. Whether it's cam timing or other things RB26 inlets keep pulling at 8,000rpm where I have found on two different setupa the long runners start fall over To the point...I reckon I'll listen to a mate and try one of these on the spare motor

Old cars are too much work. Time to sell up and buy weak ass M4 or something. I may know a buyer for the 31 I'm still pulling pennies for an Emtron -
